BATTERY SUPPLY
PNI Hunting 400C works with 6 or 12 AA alkaline or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries. For
better performance, we recommend using Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. In the “Battery

Insert the batteries in accordance with the indicated polarity. We recommend changing
the batteries when the battery icon appears on the screen of the camera.
Note: Do not insert in the same time into the camera dierent battery types as it may
cause irreparable defects.
The number of photos that can be taken until full battery discharge is variable and can
be inuenced by the following factors: camera settings, camera action frequency, brand
and battery quality, environmental conditions, etc..

WARNINGS
•Insert and remove the memory card and the power adapter only when the camera
is turned o.
•It is recommended that you use good quality AA/R6 batteries to prevent corrosion
and leakage of acid inside the camera.
•Use only a 12V/2A power supply to power the camera, and do not reverse polarity
when inserting batteries or accumulators.
•In the test mode, the camera will turn o automatically within 3 minutes if no button
is pressed.
•Do not interrupt the device power during software upgrades and return the device to
the seller if the update procedure fails. Our recommendation is to send the product
to the seller for the software upgrade procedure to eliminate the risk of irreparably
damage the product.
•Remove branches or moving objects from the area in front of the camera that can
trigger false alarms and photos.
•Do not position the camera near equipment that generates heat, ventilation, light
sources to avoid taking false photos.
•The camera uses a 100°FOV wide angle lens (compared to other cameras that have
52°FOV) and 57 IR LEDs. Make sure these IR LEDs can give enough IR light to
support the wide angle lens. Using only high-quality AA batteries provides enough
energy and consistently illuminate in dark environments.
•The scheduled date/time can be saved in the camera for 12 hours as long as the
camera was powered an hour earlier.

Sensitivity
High/Middle/Low
Higher sensitivity to motion means:
•Motion detection of small objects;
• Motion detection over longer distances;
•Easier for the sensor to detect the dierence between
human body temperature and ambient temperature
• The camera shots more frequent
If the ambient temperature is higher than the human body
temperature, it is harder to detect the movement, so we
recommend that you set the camera to high sensitivity.
Delay
OFF/ON
The preset time of the motion sensor between 2 consecutive
detections.
This interval prevents the camera from making too many
pictures at continuous motion detection.
Example: The camera waits for 1 minute before making the
picture/video again at motion detection if the time is set to
00:01:00
Congurable delay time: from 3 seconds to 24 hours (00:
00: 03 ~ 23: 59: 59).
Caution: Do not activate the Delay and Time Lapse functions
at once.
