DESCRIPTION
A) The Logic 8 is a fully automatic 8 Amp battery charger for 24V
Lead Acid or Nickel Cadmium batteries. Method of charge is
constant potential with initial constant current. It is lightweight,
compact and will operate on any worldwide AC input from 100 to
240 volts.
B) The Logic 8 will pulse charge a highly discharged battery. When
voltage climbs to approximately 17 volts pulsing stops and smooth
ripple-free charge occurs.
C) The battery can be left ON even when loading the battery.
D) The Logic 8 monitors charge progression. If abnormal progression
occurs the CHARGE CUT-OFF led will illuminate and charging
will cease. This may be due to an internal battery problem, i.e.:
shorted cell. This prevents the battery from over heating.
E) When a battery is charged, a timed topping mode will begin. The
topping voltage is adjustable by setting the Lead Acid or NiCad
adjust. At the end of the topping mode, a green READY led will
illuminate and charge stops completely. This avoids battery
deterioration that is a result of lengthy trickle or float charge. The
charge cycle automatically repeats as the battery requires.

LOGIC 8 INSTRUCTIONS
1) Set ON/OFF switch to OFF.
2) Set w/ small screwdriver for NiCad or Lead Acid.
3) Plug unit into 115 or 230VAC outlet.
4) Connect battery – observe polarity.
Note: If reversed, breaker will trip and alarm will sound.
5) View battery Open Circuit Voltage. (OCV)
6) Set ON/OFF switch to ON, Yellow CHARGING illuminates.
7) When fully charged, Green READY illuminates.
8) If battery fault is detected, Red CHARGE CUTOFF blinks.

CALIBRATION VERIFICATION PROCEDURE
1) Voltmeter -Compare the voltage reading of the Logic 8 with a
voltmeter whose calibration is traceable to N.I.S.T. Reading must
coincide to 0.2 volts.
The reading can be taken at any voltage level during charge or
without battery connected.
2) End Voltage –Without the battery connected, note the voltmeter
reading. Adjust the NiCad-Lead Acid pot completely CW and
CCW. Lead Acid should read 29.0 – 29.4V, NiCad should read
30.8 – 31.2V.

WARRANTY
1 YEAR WARRANTY
POWER PRODUCTS warrants its products to be free from
defects in workmanship and material for a one year period
from the date of shipment to the distributor, original
equipment manufacturer (OEM), or original end user. If any
product shall prove to be defective during the warranty
period, POWER PRODUCTS will repair or replace such part.
There are no warranties which extend beyond the description
on the face hereof. This warranty is in lieu of all other
warranties, express or implied. POWER PRODUCTS
excludes liability for incidental and consequential damages.
An action for breach of this warranty must be commenced
within one year after the breach is or should have been
discovered.
