the-artcomponentswithsafety, comfort,and stylingin mind.Weareconfidentthatthesedesignfeatureswillprovideyou
withtheconveniencesyouexpectduringyourdailyactivities.Once you understand how to safely operateand care for
yourpower chair, it shouldgiveyouyears of troublefreeoperationandservice.
Readand followallinstructions,warnings,andnotesinthismanual beforeattempting tooperateyourpowerchairforthe
first time. Inaddition, your safetydependsupon you, as well asyour provider,caretaker, or healthcare professional in
usinggoodjudgement.
Ifthereisanyinformationin this manual which you do not understand, or if yourequire additional assistance for setup
or operation, please contact your authorized Pride Provider. Failure tofollow the instructionsin this manualand
those located on your powerchair can lead to personal injury and/or damage to the powerchair, including

the risk of leakage or explosive conditions.

Read and follow the information in the owner’s manual.
Maximum seating weight.
Locked and in drive mode.
Place unit on level ground and stand behind or to one side when changing from drive
mode to freewheel mode or freewheel mode to drive mode.
Unlocked and in freewheel mode.
Use correct tie-down points for controller harness to prevent the harness from getting
caught in the drive tires or pinched in the seat frame.
Wear safety goggles.
Use only AGM or Gel-Cell batteries to reduce the risk of leakage or explosive conditions.

Do not allow unsupervised children to play near the power chair while the batteries are
charging.
Keep your hands away from the tires when driving. Be aware that loose fitting clothing
can become caught in drive tires.
Avoid exposure to rain, snow, ice, salt, or standing water whenever possible. Maintain
and store in a clean and dry condition.
Do not use a cell phone, walkie/talkie, laptop, or other radio transmitter while operating.
Do not connect an extension cord to the AC/DC converter or the battery charger.
Removal of grounding prong can create electrical hazard. If necessary, properly install
an approved 3-pronged adapter to an electrical outlet having 2-pronged plug access.
Keep tools and other metal objects away from battery terminals.

Do not use batteries with different amp-hour (Ah) capacities. Do not mix old and new
batteries. Always replace both batteries at the same time.
Do not remove anti-tip wheels.
Battery charger for indoor use only.
Disposal and recycling - Contact your authorized Pride Provider for information on proper
disposal and recycling of your Pride product and its packaging.
This product has been tested and passed at an immunity level of 20 V/m.

MANDATORY! Do not operate your new power chair for the first time without completely reading
and understanding this owner’s manual.
Your powerchairisastate-of-the-artlife-enhancement devicedesignedtoincreasemobility. Prideprovidesan extensive
varietyof products to bestfit the individual needsof the power chairuser. Please beaware thatthe final selection and
purchasing decision regarding the type of power chair to be used is the responsibility of the power chair user, who is
capableof makingsucha decision, andhis/herhealthcare professional (i.e.,medicaldoctor,physical therapist,etc.).
Thecontents ofthismanual are basedonthe expectationthatamobility deviceexperthasproperly fittedthepower chair
tothe userandhas assistedtheprescribing healthcareprofessionaland/orthe authorizedPrideProvider intheinstruction
processfor the use of theproduct.
Therearecertainsituations,includingsomemedicalconditions, wherethepowerchairuserwillneedtopracticeoperating
the power chair in the presence of a trained attendant.Atrained attendant can be defined as a family member or care
professionalspeciallytrainedinassistingapowerchairuserinvariousdailylivingactivities.
Asyoubeginusingyourpowerchairduringdailyactivities, youwillprobablyencountersituationsinwhichyouwill need
somepractice.Simplytakeyourtimeandyouwillsoonbeinfullandconfidentcontrolasyoumaneuverthroughdoorways,
onandoffofelevators, up and down ramps, and over moderate terrain.
Belowaresome precautions,tips,andothersafetyconsiderationsthatwillhelp youbecomeaccustomedtooperatingyour
powerchairsafely.
Modifications
Pridehasdesignedandengineeredyourpowerchairtoprovidemaximummobilityandutility.Awiderangeofaccessories
isavailablefromyourauthorized Pride Provider to further customize your power chairto better suit your needsand/or
preferences.However, under nocircumstancesshouldyou modify,add,remove,or disable anyfeature,part,or function
ofyour power chair.
WARNING! Do not modify your power chair in any way not authorized by Pride. Do not use
accessories if they have not been tested or approved for Pride products.
Pre-Ride Safety Check
Gettoknowthefeelofyourpowerchairanditscapabilities.Priderecommendsthatyouperformasafetycheckbefore
eachuse to make sure your power chair operates smoothly and safely.
Performthe following inspections prior to using your power chair:
!Checkforpropertireinflation.Maintainbutdonotexceed35psi(2.4bar)ineachtireifequippedwithpneumatictires.
!Checkall electrical connections. Make sure they are tight andnotcorroded.
!Checkallcontrollerconnections to the power base. Make sure they aresecured properly.
!Checkthe brakes. See VII. “Careand Maintenance.”
!Checkbattery charge. See VI. “Batteries andCharging.”
