WARNING
BURN/ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD! Platen sections are HOT and can cause severe burns or severe shock.
Keep hands and objects out of the toaster unit! Failure to exercise caution may result in serious injury!
Turn the unit off, unplug it and let it cool down completely before touching or working on internal apparatus.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Unit will not heat up. Door is partially open. Close doors.
No power to unit. Ensure power cord is connected to proper recepta-
cle.
High limit switch tripped. Reset high limit switch, and closely monitor platen
temperature during power up.
Inoperable power cord. Please call your local service representative.
Loose connection on power switch. Please call your local service representative.
Inoperable power switch. Please call your local service representative.
Inoperable thermostat. Please call your local service representative.
Inoperable platen. Please call your local service representative.
Unit heats up, but the conveyor does not run. Door is partially open. Close doors.
Loose motor connection. Please call your local service representative.
Inoperable motor. Please call your local service representative.
Stripped drive gear. Please call your local service representative.
Loose chain sprockets. Please call your local service representative.
Unit under- and over-heats (does not respond
to programming).
Check temperature setting. Adjust temperature set point setting. See Manage-
ment Programming.
Inoperable thermostat. Please call your local service representative.
Buns under or over done. Check platen compression adjustment. (See Opera-
tion.) Move platen adjustment knobs to the correct product
part setting.
Check platen temperature. (From READY screen,
pressing the INFORMATION button once will display
the left and right platen actual temperatures.)
Adjust temperature set point setting. See Manage-
ment Programming.
Toaster may be set to BOP mode (club heaters off). Switch to MFY mode. See Management Pro-
gramming.
Incorrect adjustment of Lighter/Darker. Adjust lighter/darker setting. See Lighter/ Darker
Adjustment.
Toast time may be incorrect. Adjust toast time to correct setting. See Man-
agement Programming.
Buns do not drop down through the chute. Bun stuck in the chute. Turn off toaster. Push stuck bun through the chute from
the top of the toaster with bun removal tool.
Release sheet not properly installed. Insert release sheet over center bar on in- feed chute
so that 12.7 mm (1/2") of release sheet ends extend
below the platen.
Release sheet has too much buildup Replace release sheet.
Oblong/irregular bun inserted in wrong orienta-
tion. Oblong buns must be inserted horizontally, not
vertically.
Emergency situation. Water sprayed into running unit. Unit sparks. Turn off power switch if possible. Turn off circuit break-
er or disconnect power plug from the outlet. Call your
local service representative.
