Note: This product requires a degree of preparation before assembly and
installation can proceed. If you are not familiar with the methods of installing an
underground mains supply to BS7671:2018 please consult a qualied electrician.
• Excavate a hole approximately 500mm diameter and 150mm deep so that an
underground mains supply can be installed with 2.5 metres of cable projecting up
through the centre of the mounting surface.
• Screw the three threaded studs into the holes in the corners of the triangular
mounting to the end of the thread only so 45mm of thread projects.
• Fill the hole with soft cement and pass the cable through the triangular mounting
and sink the studs into the wet cement so the triangular mounting sits centrally on
the surface with the mains supply cable projecting upwards through the centre.
• Check the mounting sits perfectly level in both planes or the lamp will not stand
perfectly vertical.
INSTALLATION
ASSEMBLY

• Allow the cement to fully harden before nal assembly
of the lamp.
• Ensure the mains supply is turned off and isolated.
• Pass the supply cable up through the base unit and
lower it onto the mounting so the three studs pass
through the holes in the bottom ange.
• Fix into position using the three plain and spring
washers and the domed nuts.

• Pass the cable up the lower half of the lamp post and screw it onto the
base unit.
• Repeat with the upper half post and screw it onto the lower half post.
• Pass the cable through the top collar and screw that to the top of the
post.
• There should be sufcient mains cable projecting through to attach
to the power splitter. It can be trimmed slightly if required but excess
cable can be pushed back down the post.
• Remove the cover on the power splitter and connect the supply cable
as follows:
Connect the positive supply wire (brown or red) to the terminal
marked L.
Connect the neutral supply wire (blue or black) to the terminal
marked N.
• Ret the terminal cover to the power splitter.
• Feed the power cable on the support arm through the hole in the top
collar and slot the lamp support arm into the collar by sliding down
until it engages.
• Repeat for the other two support arms.
• Connect the three power cables to the sockets on the power splitter
and lower it down inside the top collar.
• Fit the post top cap so it clips rmly into position.
• Assemble each lantern by sliding in the glazing sheets.
• Attach the lanterns by engaging the lugs around each lamp holder
and turning to locate securely.
• Fit an appropriate lamp E27 Max 11W (not supplied) to each lamp
holder.
• Attach the capping onto each lantern by engaging the lugs and turn it
to locate securely.
• Fit the nial onto the capping by turning it until it locks into place
• Restore the mains supply.
