Safety Hints
ATTENTION: PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE USING TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT & OPERATOR!
All the instrucons must be read carefully and understood before set-up or
operaon. The crane may only be assembled in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instrucon manual. The manufacturer’s technical specicaons
and limits must be adhered to at all mes and in no way exceeded.
The crane system may only be operated by competent and trained personnel. To
avoid misuse by untrained personnel, the crane should be dismantled when not
in use or under supervision.
The crane may not be assembled or operated under inuence of alcohol, drugs
or any other intoxicang substances. Lack of aenon while connecng the
components together can cause substanal damage to equipment/operator.
Before assembling the crane, ensure that the ground surface is stable enough.
The weight of the complete crane build, with accessories must be taken into
consideraon when considering the ground’s load capacity or foundaon.
When using the crane on dolly, make sure you use solid wheels. Use with track
wheels is not allowed. Before and while using the crane the wheels should be
inspected.
The crane may only be operated when balanced horizontally. A bubble level is
used to check the balance. A commercially available bubble level can also be
used.
To prevent any harm or injury, properly join all secons of the crane. It is
suggested to use the support stand while telescoping the complete length.

7
Always connect the steel cable properly to provide stability to the camera plate.
It should not negavely impact the movements of camera in any way.
CAUTION!
If the crane is used in an elevated area (e.g. bridge, mulstory building, etc.)
secure the crane with adequate safety ropes to appropriate objects (e. g.
concrete pillars) to minimize the risk of falling from the increased height.
Do not operate the crane on vehicles of any type – uncontrollable movements
can be dangerous. Proaim accepts no liability for damages or injuries for
incidents or accidents occurring due to use of the crane on vehicles, camera cars
or any other motorized vehicles.
Never operate the crane in the immediate vicinity of high-voltage power cables.
It holds danger to life. If the nominal voltage cannot be determined, a minimum
clearance of 5m / 16 must be kept at all mes.
Changing weather condions should be taken into consideraon. The crane
must not be used when wind speeds are 25km/h. It must be shut down in
sucient me. When used on a rainy day, the pan-lt head / gimbal head shall
be protected against rain.
The complete panning & liing range around it must be kept free. Avoid
anybody standing under the crane. No loose objects may be stored or placed
under it. The indoor operaon of the crane should be done very carefully.
The crane operator is responsible for keeping the camera mount free of loose
objects; they could fall and cause injury.
When you want to transport the crane, lock the Pan & Tilt axis for safety. Make
sure that the components do not rub together and cause any material wear.

8
The camera may only be mounted and dismantled (with or without remote
system) when the crane operator has given his consent. Change of load on one
side of an already balanced crane will cause an abrupt imbalance which in turn
can cause the outrigger to abruptly rise and may result in damage to the crane
and, possibly, major injuries.
Before the counterweights are removed, ensure that the plaorm is resng on
the ground or alternavely supported by an appropriate stable underlay.
Gradually remove the counterweights before the remote head or camera is
dismounted.
FOLLOWING THESE GUIDELINES WILL PROVIDE BETTER SHOTS AND TROUBLE FREE
OPERATION. SHOULD YOU NEED ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, TECHNICAL
ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE ‘ONLINE’ BY CONTACTING THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE.
