1. INTRODUCTION
1-1. Picture
UPS This UPS series is a dual conversion system with sine wave output. Supply continuous, stable, and clean
power for commercial and industrial needs. When utilities are lost, the UPS system will use batteries to
produce uninterrupted output.
The system implements an advanced digital controller to control the dual conversion system, and an isolated
transformer at the output to protect the load and the UPS itself. The UPS also has an easy-to-use LCD
interface and multiple communications including SNMP, Modbus, RS-232 and smart slots. Using software,
these UPSs can provide a complete power solution with remote monitoring and control.
1-2. Basic Structure
The entire system consists of REC module, INV module, static bypass, maintenance bypass and battery
controller. Output from the UPS is generated by a line insert or bypass with two SCRs operated in parallel.
The basic structure is shown as below:
1-3. Work Mode
This section will introduce the working mode of the UPS system.
1.3.1 Line Mode
When the UPS is working on line mode, the input air conditioner will be fixed by the REC module, and then
converted to output via the INV module. Meanwhile, the battery remains charged. In this condition, the static
bypass is in the standby position.

1.3.2 Battery Mode
When the utility fails, the UPS will transfer to battery mode without interruption. The UPS will convert
electricity from the battery to output. At this time, the static bypass is still in standby. If the utility recovers,
the UPS will transfer to line mode again.
1.3.3 Static Bypass Mode
Bypass mode can be enabled or disabled by user settings. The default setting is enabled. The UPS system
will work in bypass mode when the following conditions occur.
•The UPS system is on but off.
•The UPS is overloaded on line mode.
•Rectifier or Inverter module is abnormal.
•The utility failed and the battery capacity condition was very low.
When the above conditions disappear, the UPS will transfer back to line mode or battery mode.

1.3.4 ECO Mode
ECO mode can be enabled or disabled by user settings. The default setting is disabled. If it is necessary to
have high efficiency performance instead of high power quality, it is better to activate the "ECO" mode.
In this mode, the load will be backed up through Bypass input when utility quality is OK. And the insert line
will still be operated to charge the battery and the INV module is in standby status with the switch open.
When the Bypass input is lost, the system will transfer to line mode or battery mode and the transfer time is
less than 10 ms. When the Bypass input is restored, the system will transfer back to bypass mode. This ECO
mode operation can improve system efficiency.
1.3.5 Maintenance Bypass Mode
When the UPS requires maintenance and needs electricity to a fixed load available, the user can transfer the
inverter to bypass mode, and then switch on maintenance bypass. After that, turn off all other breakers and
switches. In this condition, the utility is still available and users can perform UPS maintenance.
1.3.6 Other Modes
Except for the modes mentioned above, there are standby mode, mute mode and error mode.
There is no output in standby mode, but the utility will charge the battery anyway. If the UPS is in standby
mode and without utilities and connection loads, it transfers to disabled mode. At this time, the UPS cannot
be turned on by pressing the ON button. Please allow 5 minutes for the UPS to completely turn off. After 5
minutes, the new UPS can be turned back on by pressing the ON button.
The UPS will transfer to fault mode if an error occurs on the UPS. When some minor errors occur, the UPS
can still transfer to bypass mode if an insert bypass is available. When some severe errors occur, the UPS will
not work normally until the user restarts the UPS.
1.3.7 Double Insert Source
Line insert and bypass separately on the UPS. Users can use different power sources into two routes on this
input and create a dual input system. Users can also associate the same resource for the two inputs. After
the utility fails, no Line and bypass inserts are available at the same time. The UPS will transfer to battery
mode.
1.3.8 Operation on reverse phase sequence
When the phase sequence is entered reversed, the UPS can still work in line mode with a "Line phase error"
warning. If the insert bypass is connected to the insert line with the same AC source, it will be an alarm with
a warning "Bps.phase error" and cannot be changed to bypass mode.
1.3.9 Non-Neutral Operation
When the Neutral line insert is disconnected, the UPS can still work in line mode.

2-2. Safety Instructions
COMMEMORATION!
Before installing and using this equipment, please read all UPS instructions and
warning signs in this manual. Keep this manual in a place that can be easily accessed.
COMMEMORATION!
This guide is only for qualified personnel. The tasks described in this guide can only be
performed by expert technicians.
COMMEMORATION!
This equipment must be installed by qualified personnel.
COMMEMORATION!
Make sure that the cross-sectional size of the earth cable must be equal to or larger
than the power cable connected to the grounding.
COMMEMORATION!
Make sure the UPS is properly insulated with a grounding shield when installed and
before operating the UPS.
COMMEMORATION!
UPS should be used for IT distribution systems.
ATTENTION!
The output neutral is the same as the UPS input neutral (non insulating type). For the correct
operation of the UPS, a neutral insert wire must be connected. It can cause power loss without neutral input.
ATTENTION!
Please charge the battery first before using the UPS for the first time or When not using the UPS
for a long period of time (maximum 6 months)
COMMEMORATION!
Never manipulate equipment with wet hands.
ATTENTION!
To avoid the risk of fire and electric shock, make sure the existing cables are in good condition
and the cables are not too small. Do not operate the Inverter with damaged or substandard cables.
COMMEMORATION!
When the UPS power supply is off due to a signal from the EPO, the UPS still has a
power source. To turn off the power, turn off all input power on the UPS.
COMMEMORATION!
Authorized service personnel should reduce the risk of electric shock by unplugging
both AC and DC power from the UPS before performing maintenance or or working on any circuits
connected to the inverter. Turning off the controls will not reduce this risk. Internal capacitors still have
electric current even though they have disconnected all existing power sources.
ATTENTION!
Do not open, disassemble or modify the equipment yourself. Repairing this equipment yourself
may cause a risk of electric shock or fire and may void the manufacturer's warranty.
ATTENTION!
Turn off the UPS immediately if smoke or gas is found coming out of the UPS.

COMMEMORATION!
The battery circuit is not insulated; do not touch part of the battery.
ATTENTION!
When batteries are replaced, a set of batteries should be all replaced and do not use used
batteries.
ATTENTION!
Do not expose the battery to fire or high temperatures. Because the battery can explode.
ATTENTION!
Batteries can pose serious risks to health and the environment. Disposal must be carried out
following existing regulations.
COMMEMORATION!
At high temperatures, equipment can get hot and can cause burns to the skin if
accidentally touched. Make sure that the inverter is far away from areas that many people traverse.
ATTENTION!
To reduce the risk of a fire hazard, do not cover or obstruct equipment.

3. INSTALLATION
3-1. Basic Needs
➢Environment Temperature: 0°C ~ +55°C
➢Storage Temperature: -15ºC ~60ºC
➢Humidity: 5% ~95%
➢Altitude: If the UPS is installed below 1000m altitude, the UPS power will not decrease. When above
1000m, the output power will decrease following the following table.

➢Vertical: Vibration and tilt should not exceed 5°.
➢Space: has a space ranging from 100 cm in front of the unit. For proper air circulation to remove
hot
The UPS must be installed in a ventilated environment, without dust, optimal ambient temperature and
humidity.
The recommended ambient temperature is 20°C ~ 25°C with 50% humidity.
Attention!
No close proximity to flammable items, explosives or corrosive gases or liquids in the
installation environment is permitted. It is forbidden to install in dusty, conductive environments,
metals.

3-2. Disassembling and Moving
➢Check if there is any damage to the carton before opening.
➢Then follow these steps to remove the UPS from the carton and pallet.
Remove the carton and foam. Untie what appears in the image.
Setting up two wires. The length of the two cables is about 6 meters and the bearings must be able to
withstand a minimum of 3 tons. Tie the UPS with a cable. Use a hoist to lift the UPS and place it on the
ground.
➢After the UPS is detached from the pallet, please check the unit and package contents. Make sure that
nothing in the package is corrupted. You should have received the following items in the package:

4. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
4-1. Power Connection
All connections can be accessed from the front panel of the UPS. It is enough to open the front door for cable
connection. See the chart panel below for the entire series.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
1) Before installing the UPS, make sure all breakers and switches are OFF.
2) Bypass insert UPS by default from factory connected to AC insert cable. Therefore,
if this UPS is used as double insert, please disconnect this connection.
3) If there is no neutral connection in the bypass, the load with the neutral connection may turn off
during the UPS in bypass mode.

Note:
Set the suitable battery charging current based on specifications. Incorrect configuration will shorten
the battery life cycle.
After connecting all the cables, check some conditions below:
l Check the phase order of LINE INSERT, BYPASS and OUTPUT.
l Check the polarity of the battery cable.
l Make sure all connected cables are screwed firmly.

4-2. Communication
UPS provides several variations of communication. The description is as follows:
4.2.1 Smart Slots
Smart slots can provide SNMP solutions for remote monitors. Ask suppliers for more detailed information.
4.2.2 Dry Contact
It has 5 outputs and 4 dry contact inserts. The detailed functions are attached below.
The output of dry contact provides only passive states: closed and open. This is necessary in order to connect
an external resource as a trigger.
The input from the dry contact provides an active signal and there is no need to connect to external power
as a trigger. The user only needs to open the port to the earthing.

4.2.3 EPO
Emergency Power Off (EPO) is the ability to shut down the system. It contains two terminal strip pins. When
the circuit is open, it activates the system shutdown and disconnects the output. When the circuit is
connected, the UPS resumes normal operation.
4.2.4 USB/RS232
To allow the UPS to perform shutdown/start-up and unattended status monitoring, connect on a USB
communication cable to the USB port and to your PC's communication port. If using RS-232 communication,
please use an RS-232 cable to connect your UPS and PC. With monitoring software installed, you can
schedule UPS shutdown/start-up and monitor UPS status via PC.

➢Single unit monitor app:
First, use either the RS485 to RS 232 converter port or the RS485 port for Modbus/TCP converter as the
converter medium between RS485 and the computer. Follow the chart below for a wired connection
between RS485 and the media converter:
Then, follow this diagram to connect to your PC:

The maximum communication distance can be up to 1200m.
➢Application monitor multiple units:
RS-485 can support up to 31 units for centralized monitoring.
Please set the address of each unit on the LCD. Each unit must have a unique address.
Otherwise, it will cause conflicts in the sequence.

5. IMPLEMENTATION
5-1. Getting Started Procedure
Although this UPS supports battery startup function, we still recommend following the steps below to turn on
the UPS.
➢Before turning on the UPS, make sure the input and output cable connections are complete. Please follow
the section
4.1 for wired connections.
➢Turn on line insert, bypass and switch battery. The UPS will turn on automatically.
➢After the UPS check is completed, it will enter the main screen.
➢Then, press the icon to enter the control menu.
➢Tap the "Turn UPS ON/OFF" icon. "Turn UPS ON" will appear.
➢Turn on the UPS by selecting the icon.
➢When the UPS is successfully turned on, the status at the top of the screen will show
icon. At this time, turn on the output switch.
Attention!
The UPS can be turned on with a battery or electrical input
connected.
Cold start procedure:
When line input is lost, users can follow these steps to turn on the UPS:
➢Turn on the battery breaker and press the cold start button located above the front panel to
while.
➢Wait for the LCD to turn on and then follow the startup procedure to turn on the UPS.
Attention!
When bypass mode is active, the UPS will move to bypass mode automatically if the
bypass enters OK. The UPS will not move to line mode until the UPS main menu on the LCD lights
up.

5-2. Shutdown Procedure
➢Press the to enter the main menu.
➢Press the "Turn UPS ON/OFF" icon. "Turn UPS OFF" will appear and select the icon to turn off the UPS.
➢Turn off the line breaker, insert and switch the battery.
➢Turn off the insert bypass breaker. The UPS will work in maintenance bypass mode. At this time,
Fixed load will work without any interruption.
➢After maintenance is complete, turn on the battery switch, insert AC breaker and bypass breaker
Enter them in order. Then turn off the maintenance bypass breaker. Don't forget to close it again
its cover.
5-3. Maintenance Bypass Operations
➢Turn on the UPS and let it work in bypass mode.
➢Remove the metal cover from the maintenance bypass breaker, and then turn on the maintenance bypass
breaker.
➢Turn off the line breaker, insert and switch the battery.
➢Turn off the insert bypass breaker. The UPS will work in maintenance bypass mode. At this time,
Fixed load will work without any interruption.
➢After maintenance is complete, turn on the battery switch, insert AC breaker and bypass breaker
Enter them in order. Then turn off the maintenance bypass breaker. Don't forget to close it again
its cover.
