* Choosing the correct dehumidifier should be based on the following factors:
The size of the room
The room temperature
The relative humidity
Room insulation
Dehumidification capacity varies depending on the percentages of humidity
prevailing in the room. The yield of 10 liters per hour refers to conditions of
22°C and 80% relative humidity.
** 30W Consumption during the fan operation
The fan only operation is a function that cannot be manually selected. It is
automatically selected when the moisture content in the rooms is lower than
set by the MODE button.
When Low Fan or Medium Speed is set, the consumption can reach a maximum
of 420W, regard-less of the mode (MODE) that has been selected.
When the High Fan Speed is set, the consumption may reach a maximum of
740W. The deviation rate of the above values is +/- 5%
*** Desiccant dehumidifiers, operation without the use of a compressor, which
is considered cutting edge Japanese technology Zeolite Regeneration for greater
efficiency at lower room temperatures. Including an absorbent Desiccant
dehumidifying wheel, that reduces the room’s humidity during its rotation. An
electrical resistance heats the Desiccant element discarding the collected
humidity directly inside the water bucket.

E-saving state
Energy saving function (Smart Saving Energy function)
When the appliance drops the humidity levels to the desired level, then the
dehumidification function stops and the fan continues to work for the next 2
minutes. Then there will be a 30 minute downtime. After 30 minutes, the fan will
turn on for 2 minutes, measuring the humidity of the room. If the relative
humidity levels have risen above 5% of the selected relative humidity value, the
appliance will start operating normally. If it has not increased more than 5%
then the device will stop operating for another 30 minutes. These thirty minutes
of shutdown are intended to homogenize the humidity in the room
(evaporation effect), the most accurate measurement of room humidity and
therefore the most economical operation of the device.

There are two ways to remove collected water
1) Using the water bucket
When the water tank is full the alarm will beep and the full indicator symbol will
turn on then you must slowly remove the bucket.
• Carefully remove the water tank and safely empty the water. Do not attempt
to place the container on the ground, as the bottom is uneven and there is a risk
of water spilling.
• Clean the container with clean water if necessary. Do not use solvents or hot
water.
• When removing the container, clean the inside carefully without touching the
components as this may cause damage.
• After draining the water, replace the container with the appliance. Make sure
the container is in the correct position and the float is in the correct position.
• Do not drink the water you collect and do not use it for other activities.
• When the water tank is repositioned in the correct position, the dehumidifier
will start working again.
2) Continuous draining

17
Using the drain hose, water can flow naturally into the floor siphon or any drain
or container.
Use a screwdriver or push to drill a hole in the back of the dehumidifier.
Remove the water tank. Keep the drain cover open and place one end of the
hose leading to the other end of the siphon. Make sure that you have
sufficiently pressed and installed the hose correctly, without creating an
angle, at the drain outlet of the dehumidifier, to prevent leaks.
Make sure the dehumidifier is placed on a flat surface.
When guiding the drain hose to the siphon, make sure that the hose does not
exceed the height of the drain outlet point and is not compressed. Ensure the
natural flow of water when removing it.

18
Before performing any maintenance or cleaning of the dehumidifier, make sure
that it is unplugged.
1) Cleaning the filter
Use water and mild detergent to clean the dehumidifier
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or solvents, use a brush or vacuum
attachments for cleaning
Do not use a dishwasher to clean the filter
Do not apply any water directly on or into the device while cleaning, as it
may cause rust, insulation deterioration or electrical shock
Allow the filter to completely dry re-installing
2) Cleaning the tank
Partially fill the tank with clean water adding a minimal amount of mild
detergent. Clean thoroughly empty and rinse.
Clean the tank every 2 weeks to prevent mold, mildew and bacteria growth
After cleaning, make sure the tank is placed back securely for the
dehumidifier to operate

19
When unit is inactive for an extended period of time please make sure you
follow the instructions below, for an appropriate storage of your appliance
Turn the unit off one day before storage
Remove the drain hose (if attached)
Clean the removable parts of the device, water bucket and air filter
Cover the device
Store the dehumidifier in upright position, in a dry, well-ventilated and
avoid direct sunlight
Does the Zeolite need replacing?
No there is no need for replacement. The Zeolite is regenerated within the
dehumidifier and this will last for many years. Improper maintenance of the air
filter results in the blockage of the zeolite, the gradual increase of the
temperature of its surface and the gradual decrease of its efficiency.
Are dehumidifiers expensive to run?
For the first month upon its initial operation, the dehumidifier operates at its
maximum in order to calibrate in its working environment. As time passes, this
will gradually reduce, since the dehumidifier will be controlled via its humidistat.
In regards to damp houses, the use of a dehumidifier may lower your central
billing costs significantly.
Do desiccant dehumidifiers generate an unpleasant smell?
During the first days of usage and periodically afterwards you might notice a
smell coming from the dehumidifier. This is caused by the Zeolite desiccant
material and is not a sign that the dehumidifier is not working properly nor is
harmful to humans or pets. The smell occurs because the Zeolite absorbs odors
from items like cigarettes, cosmetics, hair sprays, building materials and new
furniture, and as the desiccant is heated the smell is discharged into the room.
You can clear it by running the dehumidifier in a separate space like a garage or
–if it is dry- outside.

20
Where would it be better to place the dehumidifier?
For optimal results, it is suggested to place the dehumidifier in a central area,
like a hallway. Leave the doors open and the moisture will migrate naturally
towards the device to be processed
Which is the most suitable humidity level?
The suggested humidity range fluctuates between 50% and 60%. This level of an
average humidity ensures the greatest comfort for you and your family,
preventing allergies or diseases, and keeps your home healthy and well
maintained, in terms of plasterboards, dye exfoliation, wood furniture and any
other equipment material that is susceptible to the harmful consequences of
extremely high humidity conditions
Why there is still condensation from the windows, even by using the
dehumidifier?
When the relative humidity> 60% is reached in the room, there is a case that
humidity continues to appear on the windows. This can happen due to the
difference in outside temperature with that of the room. Continue to operate
the dehumidifier and when the outside temperature rises, the windows will be
completely clean.
The dehumidifier is not a heating device. What could be the cause of
warm air being extracted?
The desiccant dehumidifier Rise operates with an electrical resistance that
warms up the desiccant material. As a result, the temperature of the outgoing
air has been increased to 10-12oC comparing to the room’s temperature. This
doesn’t denote in any case that this device can be used as a heating appliance
Tank full indicator turns on but the water tank isn’t full. What could
be the cause of it?
When the full tank indicator turns on but the water tank isn’t full, check the
above plastic cover of the water tank. It has to be correctly installed in order the
water level sensor operate normally
The unit doesn’t start
Make sure the dehumidifier’s plug is placed completely into the socket
Check the house fuse/circuit breaker box
Check whether the power cord is damaged
Check the water bucket, if it is full and empty it
Check if the dehumidifier has reached its defined level
Make sure the water bucket is positioned properly
Room temperature is lower or higher than the advised operational
range
Check whether the humidity level has been set in high levels
