Installation tips
1) Do not block or restrict
the airflow around the
unit. Make sure the air
inlet exhaust grilles are not
obstructed. Allow 20 cm of
clearance around the unit.
4) Before the initial operation, please check,
if the water level switch, located within the
water bucket area, is in the right position.
EN
2) Ensure the air filter is clean
3)
4) The HEPA-CARBON filter is compliant with
the international standards so that it
retains 99.97% of all particles with size
from 0.1 μm or larger, stops mold spores,
dust, dead cells from pets, mites etc..
When using the HEPA-CARBON filter, you
have to set the fan speed to HIGH. Also
note that the efficiency of the dehumidifier
will be reduced by 30%.

5. PRODUCT FEATURES
*Choosing the correct dehumidifier should be based on the following factors:
l The size of the room
l The room temperature
l The relative humidity
l Room insulation
Consumption values may vary depending on the relative humidity in the room of op-
eration.
**30W Consumption during the fan operation.
The fan only operation is a function that cannot be manually selected. It is
automatically selected when the moisture content in the room is lower than that set
by the HUMIDITY button.
When Low Fan Speed is set, the consumption can reach a maximum of 350W. When
the Medium or High Fan Speed is set, the consumption may reach a maximum of
620W.
The deviation rate of the above values is +/- 5%.
*** Desiccant dehumidifiers, operate without the use of compressor, which is con-
sidered cutting edge Japanese technology for greater efficiency at lower room
temperatures. Including an absorbent Desiccant dehumidifying wheel, that reduces
the room's humidity during its rotation. An electrical resistance heats the Desiccant
element discarding the collected humidity directly inside the water bucket.

CHECK LED INDICATOR
Blinks when the dehumidifier detects an error. In most cases it illuminates because
the air inlet is blocked, which results in the interior of the dehumidifier being
overheated. Clean the filter, make sure the dehumidifier is not next to a heat source
or is covered, and restart the dehumidifier after 10 minutes.
FULL LED INDICATOR
Blinks when the water tank is full and you need to empty it or when the tank is not
properly installed.
•
•
Note: The room humidity display and humidity settings are
displayed with single or two LEDs, e.g. When both 40% and
50% LEDS are illuminated it means 45%.
Note: If the unit malfunctions, an alarm system will activate
and the unit will automatically shut down.
Internal Over Heating Protections: During operation,
malfunctions may occur if the air intake or the air outlet are
obstructed or blocked by objects. This can cause high internal
temperatures and the appliance will automatically shut down. In
this situation the dehumidifier will set off automatically.
Tipping Protection: The unit has a heater inside, to avoid
overheating, the unit is equipped with a tipping switch that
automatically shuts down the device in the event the unit tips over.
SMART SAVE ENERGY MODE
When the unit drops the humidity level to the level the user set, the unit stops
dehumidifying and the fan continues to operate for the next 2 minutes (for internal
cooling). The unit stops and gets into smart save energy mode in which it won't operate
for the next 30 minutes. After 30 minutes the fan will start to operate for 5 minutes
checking the humidity level of the room. If the humidity level is 5% higher than the
humidity level the user set then it will start to dehumidify. If not it will get in a pause of
another 30 minutes.

8. WATER TANK & DRAIN HOSE
There are two ways to remove collected water.
1. Using the water bucket
When the water tank is full, the water full indicator will blink.
•Slowly remove the bucket. Grip the handle with caution, and carefully pull outwards so
the water does not overflow. Do not place the tank on the floor because the bottom of
the tank is uneven. Doing so the tank will fall and the water will be spilled on the floor.
•Empty the water from the tank and place it again in to the device. The water tank,
must be securely and properly placed, for the dehumidifier to operate.
•When the water tank is re-installed the unit will automatically restart.
Caution! Clean the water tank with clean water if it is needed to. Do not use hot
water or chemicals.
• When you remove the tank, do not touch any parts
inside the unit, as you may damage the device.
•Be sure to gently place the tank into the dehumidifier.

11. F.A.Q. & TROUBLE SHOOTING
Does the Zeolite need
replacing?
No there is no need for replacement. The Zeolite is
regenerated within the dehumidifier and this will last
for many years.
Are dehumidifiers
expensive to run?
For the first month upon its initial operation, the
dehumidifier operates at its maximum in order to
calibrate in its working environment. As time passes,
this will gradually reduce, since the dehumidifier will
be controlled via its humidistat. In regards to damp
houses, the use of a dehumidifier may lower your
central billing costs significantly.
Do desiccant
dehumidifiers generate
an unpleasant smell?
During the first days of usage and periodically
afterwards you might notice a smell coming from the
dehumidifier. This is caused by the Zeolite desiccant
material and it is not a sign that the dehumidifier is
not working properly nor that it is harmful to humans
or pets. The smell occurs because the Zeolite absorbs
odors from items like cigarettes, cosmetics, hair
sprays, building materials and new furniture, and as
the desiccant is heated the smell is discharged into
the room. You can clear it by running the
dehumidifier in a separate space like a garage or - if it
is dry – outside.
Where would it be
better to place the
dehumidifier?
For optimal results, it is suggested to place the
dehumidifier in a central area, like a hallway. Leave
the doors open and the moisture will migrate
naturally towards the device to be processed.
Can we replace the
filter with one of other
type like HEPA filter ?
EN
Yes, the filter can be replaced with HEPA-CARBON
filter named PDD HEPA-CARBON and with CARBON
filter named PDD CARBON.

Why there is still
condensation from the
windows, even by using
the dehumidifier?
When the room reaches the preferred humidity
level, there is a possibility of humidity appearance
on windows. This happens due to the temperature
difference of the room’s and external ambient
temperature. Keep running the dehumidifier and
when the air temperature outside increases the
windows should be clear of condensation.
The dehumidifier is not
a heating device. What
could be the cause of
warm air being
extracted?
The desiccant dehumidifier PDD 85200 Famous,
operates with an electrical resistance that warms up
the desiccant material. As a result, the temperature
of the outgoing air has been increased to 10-12°C
comparing to the room’s temperature. This doesn’t
denote in any case that this device can be used as a
heating appliance.
The suggested humidity range fluctuates between
50% and 60%. This level of an average humidity
ensures the greatest comfort for you and your
family, preventing allergies or diseases, and keeps
your home healthy and well maintained, in terms of
plasterboards, dye exfoliation, wood furniture and
any other equipment or material that is susceptible
to the harmful consequences of extremely high
humidity conditions.
Which is the most
suitable humidity
level ?
17EN
