• This is a comprehensive step-by-step instrucon guide on how to install the QLK-150 Q04BR001 Wheelchair Bracket.
• Make sure to read, understand and follow all these instrucons.

• Q’STRAINT recommends that a Q’STRAINT tested bracket,one designed and tested for use with a specic
transportable wheelchair should alway be used, where possible. A list of compliant wheelchair brackets can be
found on the Q’STRAINT website.
• The Q04BR0001 is an universal bracket that may be act as an interface between a manual wheelchair and the
QLK-150 Docking system.
• This bracket has not been tested with any specic wheelchair model and its suitability to enable a wheelchair to
be used as a seat in a motor vehicle, has not been assessed by Q’STRAINT and remains the responsibility of the
installer.
• This bracket may not be suitable for all manual wheelchairs, and any modicaon or alteraons remains the
responsibility of the installer.

o 5/8-11x3” Grade 8 Bolt (Q04C6509-2) x 1
o 5/8-11x2-1/2” Grade 8 Bolt (Q04C6509-1) x 1
o 3/8”-16x1-1/2” Hex Bolt (Q5-6509-BK-2) x 4
o 5/16”-18x1-1/2” Hex Bolt (Q5-6509-BK-7) x 8
o 3/8”-16 Nut w/Nylon Insert (Q5-6512-D) x 4
o 5/16”-18 Nut w/Nylon Insert (Q5-6512-BK-4) x 8
o 3/8” Flat Washer Q5-6511) x 8
o 5/16” Flat Washer (Q5-6511-BK-3) x 16

 Both bars must t
between the lowest horizontal frame rails
of the wheelchair. Always cut an equal
amount from both ends and allow the
cross bar to reach the oval openings of the
bracket clamps.

place cross bars between the frame rails
making sure the holes on the cross bars
are on top. Now slide the clamps out unl
the tubing is rmly seated in the radius of the clamp. Mark your holes to be drilled onto the cross bars.

approximately 2” in front of the wheel axis. Mark your holes and excess to be drilled/cut.
 Make sure that there is at least 3-4” of clearance
above the V bracket and that it is scking out far forward enough to clear any foot rests, covers, and/or
obstrucons (see diagram below). Mark your holes and excess to be drilled/cut.

Hole sizes are as follows:
• Center Strap: 3/8” holes (four locaons)
• Cross Bars: 5/16” holes (two locaons per bar)
• Bracket Clamps: 5/16” holes (two locaons per clamp)
• V Bracket Stabilizer: 3/8” holes (two locaons)
 Secure Center Strap to cross bars with 3/8” hardware provided, as
well as the V Bracket on the front. Use the 5/16” hardware to secure the bracket clamps to the frame
of the wheelchair and also to the cross bars. Aach the docking bolt to the bracket on the boom of
the wheelchair. Adjust the height of the docking bolt by threading or un-threading it into the center
strap. Final height should be determined with user sing in the wheelchair. Review diagram on right
for installaon of the stabilizer base.
