Micro Vintage Stick Story
The Rage R/C ™ Micro Vintage Sck takes a step backwards in me to a nostalgic look that
evokes memories of yesteryear, but with modern carbon ber materials and updated radio
technologies like 2.4GHz. This classic-appearing aircra is not only a great way to build R/C
pilong skills, but also an enjoyable model for experienced R/C enthusiasts to y in compact
areas. The Micro Vintage Sck is produced with simple and durable construcon techniques –
such as the carbon ber “sck” airframe and foam ying surfaces. The featherweight
(24g without baery) construcon and high-capacity ight baery combine to deliver adequate
power for aerobacs like loops, spins, and barrel rolls or extended ight mes when enjoying
more relaxed ight maneuvers.
The Micro Vintage Sck features a factory-applied vintage WWI-style trim scheme with
everything required to y in the box; including a 2.4GHz 4-channel capable transmier that also
doubles as a charger for the 3.7V 150mAh LiPo ight baery and integral control board with
ESC and servos. The only addional items required are four AA baeries for the transmier and
you can enjoy ying a classic aircra from a bygone era at your local park or gymnasium within
minutes of opening the box!

alkaline, NiCd or NiMH baeries also used in RC applicaons. All instrucons and
warnings must be followed exactly to prevent property damage and/or personal injury
as mishandling of LiPo baeries can result in re. By handling, charging or using the
included LiPo baery you assume all risks associated with LiPo baeries. If you do
not agree with these condions please return the complete product in new, unused

Failure to use this product in the intended manner as described in the following instrucon can
result in damage and/or personal injury. A Radio Controlled (RC) airplane/helicopter/quadcopter
is not a toy! If misused, it can cause serious bodily harm and damage to property.
Keep items that could become entangled away from the propeller, including loose clothing,
tools, etc. Be especially sure to keep your hands, face and other parts of your body away from
the propeller.
As the user of this product, you are solely and wholly responsible for operang it in a manner
that does not endanger yourself and others or result in damage to the product or the property
of others.
This model is controlled by a radio signal that is subject to possible interference from a variety
of sources outside your control. This interference can cause momentary loss of control so it is
advisable to always keep a safe distance from objects and people in all direcons around your
model as this will help to avoid collisions and/or injury.
• Never operate your model if the transmier baery voltage is too low.
• Always operate your model in an open area away from obstacles, people, vehicles,
buildings, etc.
• Carefully follow the direcons and warnings for this and any oponal support
equipment. (chargers, rechargeable baeries, etc.).
• Keep all chemicals, small parts and all electronic components out of the reach of
children.
• Moisture causes damage to electronic components. Avoid water exposure to all
electronic components, parts, etc. not specically designed and protected for use
in water.

This product contains a radio transmier with wireless technology which has been tested
and found to be compliant with the applicable regulaons governing a radio transmier in
the 2.400GHz to 2.4835GHz frequency range.

Battery Install
Insert the baery into the baery holder with the
plug end facing the rear of the aircra. Plug the
control board connecon into the baery. Be
careful to maintain the correct polarity. The red dot
on the baery should be on the same side as the
red dot on the plug.
Move charge plug out and close door
maintain correct polarity by aligning the red dots lights during charging. When the light goes out,
charging is complete.

With the supplied baery installed in the baery holder, the CG of the Vintage Sck will
automacally be in the correct locaon. If a dierent baery is used or repairs have been made
to the airframe, the CG should be rechecked and weight adjusted to acheive the proper CG.
The Vintage Sck is very tolerant to changes in the CG locaon.

Please Note: This is a step that should not be required. It is included in the event that
a servo has become reversed and needs to be changed. Always check the direcon of
travel of the control surfaces as part of your preight safety check before every ight.
Servo Reversing
PLEASE NOTE: Install 4 AA baeries ( not supplied ) into the baery compartment
located on the back of the transmier, under the baery hatch cover. Make sure
that the baeries are installed with correct polarity per the diagram inside the
baery compartment.

Transmitter Details
The Micro Vintage Sck transmier features servo reversing on the rudder and elevator
channels. The servo direcon was set correctly at the factory for the model. However, in case
any of the controls are operang in the wrong direcon or you use the electronics in other
models later on, please follow these steps to change the servo direcons as needed. Complete
all steps with the transmier and aircra powered on.
Rudder Channel Servo Reversing
Press and hold the right trim buon under the le sck, then
press the right trim buon under the right sck. Release both
buons and the servo direcon will be reversed. Repeat to
change back.
Elevator Channel Servo Reversing
Press and hold the right trim buon under the le sck, then
press the down elevator (top) trim buon. Release both
buons and the servo direcon will be reversed. Repeat to
change back.

First Flight
The Micro Vintage Sck can be own indoors in a gymnasium or basketball court. Its light weight
and generous wing area allow the aircra to y very slowly at reduced throle sengs. Place
the airplane on the oor and slowly advance the throle, the model will take o within several
feet. Full throle is not required or desired for most indoor ying. The airplane is very nimble,
best results are achieved with small and smooth sck movement.
The Micro Vintage Sck is also fully capable of outdoor ight in light wind condions. These
usually are present early in the day or near sunset. The model has enough power for spirited
ying and loops and rudder rolls are easily achieved. If there isn't a suitable place for ROG
(Rise o Ground) take o, hand launching is very easy to do. Landing is as easy as reducing the
throle and leng the model descend to land. A lile added throle just before touch down
will aid is making the landing smooth.

transmier. Should you need to re-bind,
follow these steps.
• Turn on both transmier and aircra
• Press both throle trim buons
simultaneously
• The transmier will beep unl binding
is completed automacally
• Rudder and elevator will move briey
• Beeping will stop, binding complete
Arming
When the transmier and airplane are
powered on, the aircra binds automacally
and the tail surfaces move briey. Aer that
all funcons are acve including throle.
Prop Replacement
OFF
Grasp the large gear just behind the
prop. Holding it with your ngers works
well for this. Rotate the prop in the
direcon of normal rotaon to remove.
Reverse the process to install the new
prop.

Warranty Period: Rage R/C warrants that the Micro Vintage Stick (“Product”) will be free from
original factory defects in materials and workmanship upon purchase (“Warranty Period”).
What is Not Covered - This warranty is not transferable and does not cover (a) cosmetic
damage, (b) damage due to acts of God, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial
use, or due to improper use, installation, operation or maintenance, (c) modication to any
part of the Product, (d) attempted service by anyone other than a Rage R/C authorized
service center, or (e) Product not purchased from an authorized Rage R/C dealer.
OTHER THAN THE EXPRESS WARRANTY ABOVE, RAGE R/C MAKES NO OTHER
WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION, AND THREFORE DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED
WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY AND SUITABILITY FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE. THE PURCHASER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THEY ALONE HAVE
DETERMINED THAT THE PRODUCT WILL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THEIR
INTENDED USE.
Purchaser’s Remedy - Rage R/C’s sole obligation and purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedy
shall be that Rage R/C will, at its option, either (a) service, or (b) replace, any Product
determined by Rage R/C to be defective. Rage R/C reserves the right to inspect any and all
Product(s) involved in a warranty claim. Service or replacement decisions are at the sole
discretion of Rage R/C. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
SERVICE OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS THE
PURCHASER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY.
Limitation of Liability - RAGE R/C SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT,
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS OR PRODUCTION
OR COMMERCIAL LOSS IN ANY WAY, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH CLAIM IS
BASED IN CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY OR ANY
OTHER THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF RAGE R/C HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE
POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Further, in no event shall the liability of Rage R/C exceed the individual price of the Product
on which liability is asserted. As Rage R/C has no control over use, setup, nal assembly,
modication or misuse, no liability shall be assumed nor accepted for any resulting damage or
injury. By the act of use, setup or assembly, the user accepts all resulting liability. If you as the
purchaser or user are not prepared to accept the liability associated with the use of the
Product, purchaser is advised to return the Product immediately in new and unused condition
to the place of purchase.
Law - These terms are governed by Utah law (without regard to conict of law principals).
This warranty gives you specic legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary
from state to state. Rage R/C reserves the right to change or modify this warranty at any time
without notice.
