thePASS(PilotAssistStabilitySystem)controlsystemthatallowsthecapabiliesoftheairplane
togrowasyouryingskillsadvance.Thesystemiscontrolledbyaconvenientlylocated3-posi-
onswitchonthetransmierthatcanbemovedduringightbetweenFullAssist,ParalAssist,
andNoAssistmodes.FullAssistlimitsthebankangleduringightandprovidesthenecessary
assistanceformakingcoordinatedturns.ParalAssistallowsgreaterbankanglesandghter
turns.Ineitherswitchlocaon,ifyoufeeltheairplaneisnotincontrol,justreleasethecon-
trolscksanditwillquicklyreturntolevelight.WhenyourskillshaveprogressedtoyinNo

theleadingedgeofthewingwhereitmeetsthefuselage.MaintainingthecorrectCGiscrical
toopmumightperformace.AplanewithtooaaCG(tailheavy)willbeverypitchsensive
anddiculttocontrol.IftheCGistoofarforward(noseheavy)theplanewillbetoopitch
stableandnotresponsiveenough.
WiththesuppliedbaeryinstalledinthebaeryboxtheSuperCub’sCGwillautomacallybe
inthecorrectlocaon.Ifadierentbaeryisusedorrepairshavebeenmadetotheairframe
theCGshouldberecheckedandweightadjustedtoacheivetheproperCG.

transmierisonandtheaircraightbaeryispluggedin,theelectronicswillbeacvebutthe
motorwillnotbearmed.Toarmthemotor,cyclethethrolesckfromtheOFFtotheONposi-
onandthenbacktoOFF.Youwillhearanarmingtoneandthenextmethatthethrolesck
israisedthemotorwillstart.
Note: Perform the following control tests with the motor armed. Be careful not to raise
the throle sck during these tests as the prop will rotate. If you perform the tests with
the motor not armed you run the risk of reversing the direcon of servo operaon. If this
occurs, refer to the servo reversing direcons on page 6 of this manual.

Pilot Assist Stability Software (PASS)
PASS(Pilot Assist StabilitySoware)isincorporatedintoyourSuperCub750.Itallowsthepilot
totailortheresponseoftheairplanetohisabilies.Asyourpilongskillsgrowthecapabilies
oftheSuperCubgrowwithyou.
Inthismode,theamountofroll,rateof
climb,andrateofdivearelimited.
Selflevelingisalsoengaged.
Thereducedroll,climbanddiveanglesare
toaidthenewerpilotinnot

FullAssistandaimtheaircraintothewind.Theidealyingsiteneedstobeaboutthesizeof
aballfieldandwithoutobstacles.Smoothlyadvancethethroleandallowtheaircratotake
oaerashortroll.Gentlypullbackontheelevatorscktoclimbandiniateaturntokeep
theaircrawithineasyvisualdistance.Fullthroleisnotrequiredandforlearningpurposesa
throlesengof1/2to2/3throleisbest.Rememberthattheaircrawillreturntolevelight
ifthecontrolscksarereleased.Whenreadyforlandingmakeyourapproachwiththenoseof
theairplanepointedintothewind.ReducethethroletodescendandallowthePASSsystemto
aidinmaintaingagentleglidetotouchdown.
The PASS system used in the Super Cub 750 is pre-calibrated from the factory. Recalibraon is
only necessary if the aircra does not respond correctly (pitches up or down) when the PASS
switch is acvated. With the aircra sing on a level surface and the tail raised to a "wings
level" atude, follow the steps below to recalibrate the PASS system:
