Taking
batteries
out
of

Charger
prior

light's
going
out
will
result
in
shorter
battery
life
or
could
lead
to
malfunction.
It
is
not
necessary
to
wait
until
you
have

batteries
to
charge.
The
Charger
is
designed
to
allow
you
to
charge
any
range,
from
1
Rechargeable
Alkaline
battery
up
to
4
batteries
(any
combination
of
AA
and
AAA
sizes).
You
should
never
mix
Rayovac
Rechargeable
Alkaline
Batteries
in
a
device
with
any
other
type
of
battery
(regular
alkaline,
zinc
chloride,
zinc
carbon
or
nickel
cadmium
rechargeable).
This
may
cause
leakage.
You
should
also
never
mix
new
and
used
Rayovac
Rechargeable
Alkaline
Batteries
in
the
same
device.
After
many
charges,
the
length
of
service
you
receive
after
fully
charging
could
become

unsatisfactorily
short.
This
will
vary
depending
on
your
use,
the
device
and
charging
routine.
You
should
replace
your
Rechargeable
Alkaline
Batteries
when:
All
charging
procedures
are
followed
correctly,
but the
green
charging
light
doesn't
go
on,
or

After
many
reuses,
you
feel
the
length
of
service
you
receive
after
fully
charging
is
unsatisfactorily
short.
It
is
a
good
idea
to
have
a
spare
set
of
Rechargeable
Alkaline
Batteries,
keeping
one
set

use

another
set
charged

ready
to
go.
This
will
give
you
maximum
battery
power
whenever
you
need

Charging
1.
Open
the
cover
to
load
batteries
into
the
Rechargeable
Alkaline
Battery
Charger
(fig.
1
).
2.
Toload,
Rechargeable
Alkaline
Batteries
must
be
inserted
first
at
the
positive
(+)
or
nubbin
end
and
then
snap
the
negative
(-)
or
flat
end
into
place
(fig.
2).
Make
certain
batteries
are
securely
placed.
AAA
size
Rechargeable
Alkaline
Batteries
fit
into
the
bottom
portion
of
each
battery
compartment
(fig.
3),
and
AAs
(due
to
their
larger
size)
fit
into
the
upper
portion
of
the
compartment
(fig.
4).
Your
Rechargeable
Alkaline
Battery
Charger
will
charge
up
to
four
(4)
AA
or
AAAs
ata
time.
Each
of
the
four
battery
compartments
only
hold
one
(1)
Rechargeable
Alkaline
Battery
at
a
time.
Never
stack
batteries
on
top
of
each
other
ina
compartment.

forthe
green
LED
lights
to
go
on
(fig.
5).
The
light
indicates
the
battery
in
that
compartment
is
inserted
correctly
and
taking
a
charge.
If
the
light
does
not
go
on,
check
to
ensure:

Positive
(+)
sign
on
battery
matches
(+)
sign
on
the
Charger.
¥
Battery
is
properly
seated
in
compartment
(only
one
battery
per
compartment).

Charger
is
fully
plugged
into
the
electrical
wall
outlet
(fig.
5).

Battery
needs
charging.
It
may
already
be
fully
charged.
Occasionally,
a
Rechargeable
Alkaline
Battery
inserted
correctly
may
not
cause
the
charging
light
to
go
on.
Leave
it
in
the
Charger,
and
check
it
in
1
hour.
If
the
light
still
does
not
go
on,
discard
the
battery.

Unplug
charger
before
removing
