※ To ensure proper and safe use, please thoroughly read this anual.
※ I proper use ay cause leakage causing irreparable da age to your digital ca era.
※ Please check, and test the housing according to this anual prior to use.

effect operation of the housing or ca era, and are not subject to warranty or any other
clai s.
WARNING!
※ Do not store or leave housing in reach of infants or s all children. The strap ay cause
chocking and suffocation, or s all parts ay be swallowed causing injury.
※Please re ove digital ca era fro housing when not in use. Battery alfunction or
da age ay cause fire.
※The housing body is ade of corrosion-resistant alu inu . However, saltwater can cause
rusting so be sure to rinse thoroughly using fresh water without fail.
CAUTION!
※ To prevent water leakage and da age, DO NOT disasse ble or odify this housing.
※ Do not store the housing in areas of high hu idity, high or low te peratures, or areas of
extre e te perature fluctuation. Doing so ay cause deterioration of parts.
※ When diving, use a ethod of water entry that protects the housing fro shock, which can
cause water leakage. If at all possible have housing handed to you after entering the
water.
※ This housing is designed to withstand depths of 100 eters (328 feet) depending on Lens
Port. Using the housing at deeper depths ay cause da age and water leakage. Use
caution and onitor depth.
※Re ove O-ring or leave housing slightly open when transporting by plane. Pressurization
of a sealed housing during transport ay cause da age or ake it difficult to open.
※ When opening and closing the housing be indful of dust and other conta inants, which
ay adhere to the O-rings, possibly causing water leakage and da age.
※ Always check O-rings prior to each use. Pay special attention to the grease condition and
that the O-rings are seated unifor ly in the O-ring grooves with no twists or bulges.
Neglecting to check the O-rings prior to each use ay result in water leakage and
da age.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR RDH-PG7 UNDERWATER HOUSING
※. Front Dial - Use to turn ca era front dial.
※.Shutter Trigger - Use to press ca era shutter button.
※. Accessory Shoe - Can be used for installation of a target light or other option.
CAUTION! Please be indful of the weight of the light used. For heavy lights and strobes
please use SEATOOL/RECSEA genuine tray and grip asse blies.
※.Flash Window - To connect external strobes use the Strobe Mask-External Strobe
Connection Mount. Place the Strobe Mask over the Flash Window and attach using screw
provided.
CAUTION! When not using the Strobe Mask and Screw take care to place the in a
secure place so as not to lose the .
※Drive Mode Dial - Use to turn ca era drive ode dial.
IMPORTANT NOTE! The ca era drive ode dial only turns180° left and right. Be indful
of current setting when installing the ca era.
IMPORTANT NOTE! The Drive Mode Dial, Mode Dial, Front Dial and Rear Dial are
designed to turn the ca era dials back and forth via friction fro an O-ring that co es in
contact with the . Should controls begin to slip, use a soft dry cloth to wipe away any oil
and other conta inates that ay cause the loss of friction fro the O-rings and ca era
dials.
※Ball Joint Socket - For use with optional Ball Joint Base SBB-M10.
※ Zoo /Focus Dial - For use with optional zoo and focus gears. Turn slightly to actuate
when installing ca era with lens and zoo or focus gear attached.
※Lens Port Release Button - When pressed unlocks the Lens Port.

※ Lens Release Lever & Button - Once Lens Port is re oved, use lever to ove internal ar
into position then press to activate the ca era lens release button.
※Hand Strap Mount - Use to attached Hand Strap to housing.
※Secure-Latch & Secure-Latch Lever - See OPENING AND CLOSING THE BACK COVER.
※Mode Dial - Use to turn ca era ode dial.
※.Viewfinder - For use with ca era viewfinder. Can easily be replaced with optional INON
INON 45° Viewfinder Unit.
※Flash Close Lever - Use to close ca era flash.
※Optional RAV-S1-PG7 - Optional RECSEA Airlock Vacuu Syste .
※ON/OFF Switch - Use to turn ca era ON and OFF.
※Focus Mode Lever - Use to set ca era focus ode.
REFER TO CAMERA MANUAL FOR EXPLANATION OF VARIOUS BUTTON FUNCTIONS.

OPENING AND CLOSING THE BACK COVER
※Conduct the following operations in a clean area with low hu idity and dust.
To OPEN, press Lock Lever on both sides of the housing while pulling Secure-Latch away
fro housing ain body.
To CLOSE, press Secure-Latch on both sides of the back cover into place aking sure the
latch on the underside is properly placed in the Secure-Latch grooves on either side of the
ain body. Push into the locked position. Double check to ake sure it is fir ly locked into
place.
INSTALLING LENS PORT
※Conduct the following operations in a clean area with low hu idity and dust.
※Perfor proper Lens Port O-ring, Housing Port O-ring and contact surfaces aintenance
prior to installation.
※Your RDH-PG7 can be used with a variety of optional Lens Ports that are co patible with
a variety of lenses.
CAUTION! Only use the proper Lens Port intended for each lens. Failure to do so can result
in i age vignetting and distortion, da age to the lens, and possible water leakage.

1. Place Lens Port over Housing Port with Lens Port Lock Tab aligned with housing Lens
Port Lock Tab Groove just below the Lens Port Release Button. Make sure Lens Port is
resting horizontally even on the Housing Port with a unifor gap and push Lens Port
straight down into Housing Port seating it fully.
2. With Lens Port pushed co pletely onto the Housing Port, rotate Lens Port
counterclockwise until it stops with an audible “click” as the Lens Port Release Button
engages.
INSTALLING CAMERA
CAUTION! Before using, please be sure to test the housing (without ca era) in a bucket of
freshwater. After use in salt water, rinse thoroughly in a bucket of fresh water without fail,
pressing all buttons, turning all levers and dials several ti es to flush out salt deposits and
other conta inants. Allowing saltwater and conta inants to dry on housing can da age
functions and O-ring. Clean with fresh water only, using a soft, dry cloth to wipe away water.
※Perfor proper housing O-ring and O-ring Contact Surface aintenance.
※Conduct the following operations in a clean area with low hu idity and dust.
1. Re ove all accessories fro ca era including ca era strap and strap eyelets.
2. Attach lens to ca era. If using a zoo or focus gear, attach it to lens in the proper
position.
3. Check ca era settings, battery is charged and edia storage capacity is sufficient.
4. Using the ca era tripod socket, fir ly attach Ca era Tray to ca era as shown below.
5. Before placing ca era with tray attached into the ain body of the housing, pull (or push)
Drive Mode Dial, Mode Dial, and ON/OFF Switch up away fro housing.
CAUTION! Failing to do so will create an obstruction and ca era will NOT seat properly.

6. Carefully place ca era into housing ain body (Ca era Tray attached) lining up the
Ca era Tray Posts with the grooves on the Ca era Tray and slowly push forward into
the housing until it stops.
IMPORTANT NOTE! If installing with lens and zoo or focus gear attached, turn
Zoo /Focus Dial slightly to actuate the gear.
7. With ca era properly seated, push Drive Mode Dial, Mode Dial, and ON/OFF Switch
down into place as shown below.
8. Set housing Focus Mode Lever on back cover and ca era lever to the sa e position as
shown below.
※Prior to attaching housing Back Cover perfor O-ring and contact surface aintenance.
9. Carefully place Back Cover onto housing ain body and close as instructed on page 4.,

10. Once housing is properly closed perfor Pre-Dive Check. I erse housing (Lens Port
attached) several ti es, starting with short intervals, gradually lengthening ti e, checking
for water leakage after each interval while testing ca era and housing functions.
※When entering water use a ethod of water entry that protects the housing fro shock,
which can cause water leakage. If at all possible have housing handed to you after
entering the water.
REMOVING CAMERA
CAUTION! After use in water, water will re ain in gaps between housing, back cover and
Secure-Latch. Wipe any water off housing with a soft dry towel to prevent water fro falling
on ca era.
1. Using the Flash Close Lever close ca era flash unit.
2. Pull Drive Mode Dial, Mode Dial, and ON/OFF Switch up away fro housing.
3. Open housing as instructed on page 4., OPENING AND CLOSING THE BACK COVER.
4. Carefully re ove ca era.
HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
CAUTION! Housing LCD Window, Flash Window, and the lenses of so e optional Lens
Ports are anufactured using hard coat acrylic. When cleaning use a clean soft cloth taking
care not to scratch the .
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STROBE
※Accessory Shoe can be used for installation of target lights. Be indful of the weight of
the light. For heavy lights and strobes use SEATOOL/RECSEA optional Grip & Tray
Asse bly and co patible connector.
CAUTION! Da age is irreparable.
※Please refrain fro using lights attached to the Accessory Shoe as a carrying handle.
※While in the housing, the ca era flash can be deployed using the housing Flash Open
Button and Flash Close Lever. Be sure to anually close the flash prior to re oving back
cover fro housing.
※Use the Strobe Mask-External Strobe Connection Mount to connect external strobe plugs
or fiber-optic cables.
Connecting fiber optic cable for external strobe use:
1. Using the white screw provided attach the Strobe Mask-External Strobe Connection
Mount to the housing covering the Flash Window.

CAUTION! When not in use store Strobe Mask-External Strobe Connection Mount and Screw
in a secure place so as not to lose the .
2. The Strobe Mask-External Strobe Connection Mount is equipped with a two (2) plug
socket adapter. Re ove adapter to access the fiber-optic sockets as shown below.
3. Insert plugs (SEA&SEA) or fiber-optic cable (INON) into sockets provided.
※Two (2) tripod sockets are provided at the botto of the housing for use in attaching
optional grip and tray asse blies.
CAUTION! Seatool/Recsea STRONGLY reco ends the use of Seatool/Recsea genuine
grip and tray asse blies listed under OPTIONS. Leakage or da ages due to the use of non-
genuine options are NOT covered under warranty.
MAINTENANCE
CAUTION! Allowing saltwater and conta inants to dry on housing can da age functions and
O-rings possibly causing water leakage. Clean with fresh water only, using a soft, dry cloth to
wipe away water.
※A co plete housing overhaul is reco ended once every year.
1. After use in salt water, wash off salt and other conta inants by soaking e pty housing
(with Lens Port Attached) thoroughly in a bucket of fresh water (lukewar ) for 10 to 20
inutes.
2. Manipulate all buttons, dials, and levers several ti es to flush out salt deposits and other
conta inants.
3. Wipe any water off housing using a clean, soft, dry cloth.
4. Perfor O-RING GREASING & MAINTENANCE as instructed.

O-RING GREASING & MAINTENANCE ( 1)※
CAUTION! This housing uses three (3) O-rings, one (1) Back Cover O-ring, one (1) Housing
Port O-ring, and one (1) Lens Port O-ring as shown below. Please be sure to install the
correct O-ring in the proper place. Failure to do so will result in water leakage.
1. Using the O-ring Re oval Pick, re ove O-rings.
2. Clean sand, salt, other conta inants and old grease fro O-rings.
3. Clean O-ring grooves and O-ring Contact Surfaces using a clean cotton swab.
4. Visually and physically check each O-rings by running it through finger tips, feeling for
cuts, cracks or any other defects that ay cause leakage. Such defects will cause water
leakage, if found be sure to replace the O-ring. Be careful not to stretch or pull the O-ring
too uch.
5. Squeeze a rice grain sized bead of silicone grease between your thu b and forefinger.
Taking care not to pull or stretch the O-rings too uch, unifor ly spread grease on O-
rings. Too little grease ay cause the O-rings to twist in the groove, possibly causing
water leakage.
6. Place O-rings in the O-ring grooves, aking sure they are unifor , not twisted or bulging
out, possibly causing water leakage. When closing back cover, visually check O-ring
Contact Surfaces, tracing a finger over it to aking sure no hair, lint or other
conta inants are attached.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
※When housing is not used for long periods, re ove O-rings and place in separate plastic
bags to keep the free of dust and other conta inants and store in a place out of direct
sunlight. Also be careful of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during use.

※After extended periods of non-use, soak closed e pty housing with Lens Port attached in
lukewar for half a day. Manipulate all buttons and dials several ti es. Using a soft, dry
cloth wipe away water.
CAUTION!
※O-rings are an essential part of waterproofing for this housing. Not properly greasing the
O-rings as directed ay cause the O-rings to twist in the O-ring grooves, possibly causing
water leakage.
※Always perfor the above O-ring, O-ring Groove and O-ring Contact Surface aintenance
and greasing every ti e you open/close the housing.
※Please pay close attention to be sure the O-rings are not twisted or bulging, free of any
conta inants (dirt, hair, etc.), and that foreign objects do not obstruct proper closing of the
housing Back Cover or Lens Port.
※DO NOT clean the housing with volatile organic solvents or che ical cleaning agents such
as thinner, gasoline, and benzine, etc.
※ Flash Window, LCD windows, and optional Lens Port Lens are anufactured using hard
coat acrylic. When cleaning use a clean soft cloth taking care not to scratch the .

AFTER-SALE SERVICE
Warranty period is two (2) years fro purchase for general users, 6 (six) onths for
co ercial or industrial users. Seatool/Recsea will repair anufacturing defects free of
charge during the warranty period when product is used in accordance with this anual. This
warranty is only valid for housings purchased fro authorized Seatool/Recsea international
dealers. Da age due to custo er use, and for any consu able parts, the repairs will be
charged at nor al rates. Shipping costs to and fro dealer, or Japan if necessary, shall be
born by the custo er for warranty and all other cases. This warranty does not cover any
da age to digital ca era for any reason, including da age caused by water intrusion.
Please obtain insurance for all your equip ent. Any repairs due to the following will be
charged at nor al rates:
1. Repaired, odified or disse bled by person or co pany other than Seatool/Recsea;
2. If da aged in fire, natural disaster such as earthquake, flood, lightning, etc.;
3. Da age caused by dropping, i pact, vibration;
4. When returned for warranty service not acco panied with Warranty Infor ation copy, or if
Warranty Infor ation is altered.
※Warranty does not cover any losses resulting fro any alfunction of this product,
including those related to lost profits or any related expenses.
※Seatool/Recsea will stock parts necessary for repair for five (5) years fro stop of
production.
※This product uses so e degradable parts, such as buttons and O-rings. Seatool/Recsea
reco ends overhauling the housing once per year, ore frequently if used often.
Overhaul service is charged at nor al rates.
