※ Improper use may cause eakage causing irreparab e damage to your digita camera.
※ P ease check, and test the housing according to this manua prior to use.

※This product is manufactured by machining methods. As a resu t, there may be minor
scratching or too marks. These are a norma part of the manufacturing process, do not
effect operation of the housing or camera, and are not subject to warranty or any other
c aims.
WARNING!
※ Do not store or eave housing in reach of infants or sma chi dren. The strap may cause
chocking and suffocation, or sma parts may be swa owed causing injury.
※P ease remove digita camera from housing when not in use. Battery ma function or
damage may cause fire.
※The housing body is made of corrosion-resistant a uminum. However, sa twater can cause
rusting to some parts so be sure to rinse thorough y using fresh water without fai .
CAUTION!
※ To prevent water eakage and damage, DO NOT disassemb e or modify this housing.
※ Do not store the housing in areas of high humidity, high or ow temperatures, or areas of
extreme temperature f uctuation. Doing so may cause deterioration of parts.
※ When diving, use a method of water entry that protects the housing from shock, which can
cause water eakage. If at a possib e have housing handed to you after entering the
water.
※ This housing is designed to withstand depths of 130 meters (426 feet). Using the housing
at deeper depths may cause damage and water eakage. Use caution and monitor depth.
※Remove O-ring or eave housing s ight y open when transporting by p ane. Pressurization
of a sea ed housing during transport may cause damage or make it difficu t to open.
※ When opening and c osing the housing be mindfu of dust and other contaminants, which
may adhere to the to the O-ring, possib y causing water eakage and damage.
※ A ways check O-ring prior to each use. Pay specia attention to the grease condition and
that the O-ring is seated uniform y in the O-ring groove with no twists or bu ges. Neg ecting
to check the O-ring prior to each use may resu t in water eakage and damage.

OPENING AND CLOSING THE BACK COVER
※P ease do the fo owing operations in a c ean area with ow humidity and dust.
Open & C ose Dia Locks in two p aces, in the open position and in the c osed position.
1. To open, whi e pressing the Open & C ose Lock Button, turn the Open & C ose Dia Lever
to the right (c ockwise).
2. The back cover wi open once the dia is turn comp ete y and ever is upward position.
3. Carefu y remove Back Cover by pu ing it free from the Lip-hinge Groove on main body.
4. To c ose, p ace the Back Cover Lip-hinge into the Lip-hinge Groove on the main body, seat
Back Cover into p ace and press firm y (Note: Dia wi turn to the eft (counterc ockwise).
Whi e pressing the Open & C ose Lock Button, Using the Open & C ose Dia Lever turn
the dia comp ete y to the eft making sure the Open & C ose Lock Button is engaged with
an audib e “c ick”.
※NOTE: Firm y press Lock Button whi e turning dia . Fai ing to do so may cause damage to
ocking mechanisms.
INSTALLING CAMERA
CAUTION! Before using, p ease be sure the test the housing (without camera) in a bucket of
freshwater. After use in sa t water, rinse thorough y in a bucket of fresh water without fai ,
pressing a buttons severa times to f ush out sa t deposits and other contaminants. A owing
sa twater and contaminants to dry on housing can damage functions and O-ring. C ean with
fresh water on y, using a soft, dry c oth to wipe away water.

※P ease perform proper housing O-RING MAINTENANCE prior to insta ation.
※P ease conduct the fo owing operations in a c ean area with ow humidity and dust.
1. Check camera settings, battery is charged and media storage capacity is sufficient.
2. S ow y and carefu y insta camera making sure camera does not hit housing's interna
contro s. Gent y push camera forward into housing to make sure it is proper y seated. If
the camera is not seated correct y, buttons, dia s, and evers may not work proper y.
3. After performing O-ring Maintenance, carefu y c ose back cover making sure nothing is
caught between the Back Cover O-ring and housing body Contact Surface.
REMOVING CAMERA
CAUTION! After use in water, water wi remain in seams between housing, back cover and
Lip-hinge Groove. Wipe any water off housing with a soft dry towe to prevent water from
fa ing on camera.
1. Open and remove Back Cover as instructed in OPENING AND CLOSING THE BACK
COVER.
2. Tip Housing backwards, gent y s iding camera out of housing.
HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
The Lens Port ens is manufactured using hard coat acry ic. When c eaning use a c ean soft
c oth taking care not to scratch it.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STROBE
※For heavy strobes and ights p ease use optiona Grip & Tray Assemb y and compatib e
connector.
※Use the Strobe Mask-Externa Strobe Connection Mount to connect externa strobe fiber
-optic cab e or p ug.
Connecting fiber optic cab e for externa strobe use:
CAUTION! Store Strobe Mask-Externa Strobe Connection Mount and Screw in a secure
p ace so as not to ose them.
1. Using the Strobe Mask-Externa Strobe Connection Mount Screw, attach the Strobe Mask
-Externa Strobe Connection Mount by screwing it into the Screw Socket provided.
2. Insert bear fiber-optic cab e (INON) or p ug (SEA&SEA) into sockets provided.
※Two (2) Tripod Sockets are provided at the bottom of the housing for use in attaching
Seatoo /Recsea genuine tray and grip assemb ies.

CAUTION! Seatoo /Recsea STRONGLY recommends the use of Seatoo /Recsea genuine
tray and grip assemb ies isted be ow under OPTIONS. Leakage or damages due to the use
of non-genuine options are NOT covered under warranty.
※The Accessory Shoe on top of the housing can be used for insta ation of a target ight.
P ease be mindfu of the weight of the ight(s) you intend to use. For heavy ights and
strobes p ease use Seatoo /Recsea genuine tray and grip assemb ies.
※P ease refrain from using ights attached to the Accessory Shoe as a carrying hand e.
CAUTION! Damage is irreparab e.
MAINTENANCE
CAUTION! A owing sa twater and contaminants to dry on housing can damage functions and
O-rings possib y causing water eakage. C ean with fresh water on y, using a soft, dry c oth to
wipe away water.
※We recommend a comp ete housing overhau once every year.
1. After use in sa t water, wash off sa t and other contaminants by soaking empty housing
thorough y in a bucket of fresh water ( ukewarm) for 10 to 20 minutes.
2. Manipu ate a buttons and dia s severa times to f ush out sa t deposits and other
contaminants.
3. Wipe any water off housing with a soft dry c oth.
4. Open Back Cover.
5. Using the O-ring Remova Pick, remove O-ring.
6. C ean O-ring groove and contact surfaces using a c ean cotton swab. DO NOT c ean
housing, Back Cover or Lens Port with vo ati e organic so vents or chemica c eaning
agents such as thinner, gaso ine, and benzine, etc.
7. Perform O-RING GREASING & MAINTENANCE as instructed be ow before re-insta ing.
O-RING GREASING & MAINTENANCE ( 1)※
CAUTION! DO NOT use si icone grease other than that provided by Seatoo /Recsea.
1. Using the O-ring Remova Pick, remove O-ring.
2. C ean sand, sa t, other contaminants and o d grease from O-ring.
3. C ean O-ring groove and O-ring Contact Surface using a c ean cotton swab.
4. Visua y and physica y check O-ring by running it through finger tips, fee ing for cuts,
cracks or any other defects that may cause eakage. Such defects wi cause water
eakage, so be sure to rep ace the O-ring. Be carefu not to stretch or pu the O-ring too
much.
5. Squeeze a rice grain sized bead of si icone grease on your thumb and forefinger. Taking
care not to pu or stretch the O-ring too much, uniform y spread grease on O-ring. Too
itt e grease may cause the O-ring to twist in the groove, possib y causing water eakage.
6. P ace O-ring in the appropriate O-ring groove, making sure that it is uniform, not twisted
or bu ging out, possib y causing water eakage. When c osing back cover, visua y check
O-ring surface, tracing a finger over the to making sure no hair, int or other contaminants
are attached.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
※When housing is not used for ong periods, remove O-ring and p ace in a p astic bags to
keep it free of dust and other contaminants and store in a p ace out of direct sun ight.
P ease a so be carefu of pro onged exposure to direct sun ight during use. The O-ring and
housing may become deformed, causing water eakage.
※After extended periods of non-use, soak c osed empty housing in ukewarm for ha f a day.
Manipu ate a buttons and dia s severa times. Using a soft, dry c oth wipe away water.

CAUTION!
※The O-ring is an essentia part of waterproofing for this housing. Not proper y greasing the
O-ring as directed may cause the O-ring to twist in the O-ring groove, possib y causing
water eakage.
※A ways perform the above O-ring, O-ring groove and O-ring Contact Surface maintenance
and greasing every time you open/c ose the housing.
※P ease pay c ose attention and make sure the O-rings are not twisted or bu ging, free of
any contaminants (dirt, hair, etc.), and that foreign objects do not obstruct proper c osing
of the housing Back Cover.
※ DO NOT c ean the housing with vo ati e organic so vents or chemica c eaning agents such
as thinner, gaso ine, and benzine, etc.
※Housing Back Cover is manufactured using hard coat acry ic. When c eaning use a c ean
soft c oth taking care not to scratch it.

AFTER-SALE SERVICE
Warranty period is two (2) years from purchase for genera users, six (6) months for
commercia or industria users. Seatoo /Recsea wi repair manufacturing defects free of
charge during the warranty period when product is used in accordance with this manua . This
warranty is on y va id for housings purchased from authorized Seatoo /Recsea internationa
dea ers. Damage due to customer use, and for any consumab e parts, the repairs wi be
charged at norma rates. Shipping costs to and from dea er, or Japan if necessary, sha be
born by the customer for warranty and a other cases. This warranty does not cover any
damage to digita camera for any reason, inc uding damage caused by water intrusion.
P ease obtain insurance for a your equipment. Any repairs due to the fo owing wi be
charged at norma rates:
1) Repaired, modified or dissemb ed by person or company other than Seato /Recsea;
2) If damaged in fire, natura disaster such as earthquake, f ood, ightning, etc.;
3) Damage caused by dropping, impact, vibration;
4) When returned for warranty service not accompanied with Warranty Information copy, or if
Warranty Information is a tered.
※Warranty does not cover any osses resu ting from any ma function of this product,
inc uding those re ated to ost profits or any re ated expenses.
※ Seatoo /Recsea wi stock parts necessary for repair for five (5) years from stop of
production.
※This product uses some degradab e parts, such as buttons and O-rings. Seato /Recsea
recommends overhau ing the housing once per year, more frequent y if used often.
Overhau service is charged at norma rates.
