INTRODUCTION
BLACKMAGIC DESIGN Pocket Cinema Camera Underwater Housing RVH-BMPCC
※Thank you or purchasing the RECSEA RVH-BMPCC Underwater Housing.
※ To ensure proper and sa e use, please thoroughly read this manual.
※ Improper use may cause leakage causing irreparable damage to your digital camera.
※ Please check, and test the housing according to this manual prior to use.
※Neither NTF Corporation, Seatool/Resea nor their agents shall warrant or bear any
responsibility or any incident related to water leakage, damage or loss o data,
unauthorized modi ication, disassembly and repair; or any accident causing physical or
material damage while using this product.
※This product is manu actured by machining methods. As a result, there may be minor
scratching or tool marks. These are a normal part o the manu acturing process, do not
e ect operation o the housing or camera, and are not subject to warranty or any other
claims.
WARNING!
※ Do not store or leave housing in reach o in ants or small children. The strap may cause
chocking and su ocation, or small parts may be swallowed causing injury.
※Please remove digital camera and internal battery power supply rom housing when not in
use. Battery mal unction or damage may cause ire.
※The housing body is made o corrosion-resistant aluminum. However, saltwater can cause
rusting so be sure to rinse thoroughly using resh water without ail.
CAUTION!
※ To prevent water leakage and damage, DO NOT disassemble or modi y this housing.
※ Do not store the housing in areas o high humidity, high or low temperatures, or areas o
extreme temperature luctuation. Doing so may cause deterioration o parts.
※ When diving, use a method o water entry that protects the housing rom shock, which can
cause water leakage. I at all possible have housing handed to you a ter entering the
water.
※ This housing is designed to withstand depths o 100 meters (328 eet) depending on Lens
Port. Using the housing at deeper depths may cause damage and water leakage. Use
caution and monitor depth.
※Remove O-ring or leave housing slightly open when transporting by plane. Pressurization
o a sealed housing during transport may cause damage or make it di icult to open.
※ When opening and closing the housing be mind ul o dust and other contaminants, which
may adhere to the to the O-ring, possibly causing water leakage and damage.
※ Always check O-rings prior to each use. Pay special attention to the grease condition and
that the O-rings are seated uni ormly in the O-ring grooves with no twists or bulges.
Neglecting to check the O-rings prior to each use may result in water leakage and
damage.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR RVH-BMPCC HOUSING
※M10 Ball Joint Socket - For use with M10 Ball Joint Mounts.
※Zoom/Focus Dial - For use with optional zoom and ocus gears. Turn slightly to actuate
when installing camera with lens and zoom or ocus gear attached.
※Lens Port Release Button - When pressed unlocks the Lens Port.
※ Lens Release Button Lever- Once Lens Port is removed, turn upward and the press to
active the camera's lens release button.
※Hood Base Screw Socket - Use to attached optional Hood Base and Hood.
※Please re er to camera instruction manual or explanation o various button unctions.

OPENING AND CLOSING THE BACK COVER
※Please do the ollowing operations in a clean area with low humidity and dust.
To OPEN, press Lock Lever on both sides o the housing while pulling Secure-Latch away
rom housing back cover.
To CLOSE, press Secure-Latch on both sides o the housing into place making sure the latch
on the underside is properly placed in the Secure-Latch groove attached to back cover. Push
into the locked position. Double check to make sure it is irmly locked into place.
INSTALLING LENS PORT
※Please conduct the ollowing operations in a clean area with low humidity and dust.
※Please per orm proper Lens Port O-ring, Housing Port O-ring and contact sur aces
maintenance prior to installation.
※Your RVH-BMPCC can be used with various Lens Ports and Gears that are compatible
with a variety o lenses.
CAUTION! Only use the proper Lens Port and Gear intended or each lens. Failure to do so
can result in image vignetting and distortion, as well as damage to the lens and possible
water leakage.
1. Place Lens Port over Housing Port with Lens Port Lock Tab aligned with housing ront
lower right tab groove just below the Lens Port/Lens Release Button. Make sure Lens
Port is resting horizontally even on the Housing Port with a uni orm gap and push Lens
Port straight down into Housing Port seating it ully.
2. With Lens Port pushed completely onto the Housing Port, rotate Lens Port
counterclockwise until it stops with an audible “click” as the Port Lock engages.
INSTALLING CAMERA AND INTERNAL POWER SUPPLY
CAUTION! Be ore using, please be sure to test housing with Lens Port attached (without
camera) in a bucket o reshwater. A ter use in salt water, rinse thoroughly in a bucket o
resh water without ail, pressing all buttons and turning all dials several times to lush out salt
deposits and other contaminants. Allowing saltwater and contaminants to dry on housing can
damage unctions and O-ring. Clean with resh water only, using a so t, dry cloth to wipe
away water.
※Please per orm proper housing O-ring, O-ring groove and contact sur ace maintenance.
※Please conduct the ollowing operations in a clean area with low humidity and dust.

1. Remove all accessories rom camera.
2. Attach lens to camera. I using a zoom or ocus gear attach it to lens in the proper
position.
3. Check camera settings, battery is charged and media storage capacity is su icient.
4. Be ore placing camera in the main body o the housing set Lens Release Button Lever to
the down position as shown in the below image. Failing to do so will create an obstruction
and camera will not seat properly.
5. Care ully place camera into the Camera Carriage inside the housing main body while
turning the Zoom/Focus Dial slightly to actuate the gear.
6. I using the included 12 volt Battery Case, place into the battery case carriage below
camera and attached 12 volt cable to camera as shown below.
Recommended Power Supply: Four (4) 18650 3000 mAh 3.7v with digital protection
circuit built-in. Rechargeable batteries may be used but are not recommended in low
temperatures.
※Prior to attaching housing back cover please per orm proper housing O-ring and back
cover contact sur ace maintenance.

7. Care ully place back cover onto housing main body and close as instructed on page 3.,
making sure 12 volt cable is neatly placed in the space provided.
8. Once housing is properly closed per orm Pre-Dive Check. Immerse Housing (with Port
attached) several times, starting with short intervals, gradually lengthening time, checking
or water leakage a ter each intervals while testing camera and housing unctions.
※When entering water use a method o water entry that protects the housing rom shock,
which can cause water leakage. I at all possible have Housing handed to you a ter
entering the water.
REMOVING CAMERA
CAUTION! A ter use in water, water will remain in gaps between housing, back cover and
Secure-Latch. Wipe any water o housing with a so t dry towel to prevent water rom alling
on camera.
1. Open housing as instructed on page 3.
2. I using the included 12 volt Battery Case, detach 12 volt cable rom camera.
3. Remove camera and battery case.
HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
※Housing Monitor Window and the lenses o some optional Lens Ports are manu actured
using hard coat acrylic. When cleaning use a clean so t cloth taking care not to scratch
them.
※CAUTION! When internal battery power supply is connected and camera is turned ON it is
in a constant state o charging which may generate heat, both rom the camera and
batteries. It is most important to turn camera OFF and keep housing out o direct sunlight
and in a cool place when not submerged.
EXTERNAL LIGHTS
※The Accessory Shoe on top o the housing can be used or installation o a target light.
Please be mind ul o the weight o the light(s) you intend to use. For heavy lights and
strobes please use Seatool/Recsea genuine tray and grip assemblies.
CAUTION! Damage is irreparable.
※Please re rain rom using lights attached to the Accessory Shoe as a carrying handle.
※For heavy lights please use the included M10 Ball Joint Mounts or attaching arms or an
optional Grip & Tray Assembly.
※Five (5) tripod sockets are provided at the bottom o the housing or use in attaching grip
assemblies.
CAUTION! Seatool/Recsea STRONGLY recommends the use o Seatool/Recsea genuine
tray and grip assemblies listed below under OPTIONS. Leakage or damages due to the use
o non-genuine options are NOT covered under warranty.

MAINTENANCE
CAUTION! Allowing saltwater and contaminants to dry on housing can damage unctions and
O-rings possibly causing water leakage. Clean with resh water only, using a so t, dry cloth to
wipe away water.
※A complete housing overhaul is recommended once every year.
1. A ter use in salt water, wash o salt and other contaminants by soaking empty housing
thoroughly in a bucket o resh water (lukewarm) or 10 to 20 minutes.
2. Manipulate all buttons and dials several times to lush out salt deposits and other
contaminants.
3. Wipe any water o housing with a so t dry cloth.
4. Per orm O-RING GREASING & MAINTENANCE as instructed below be ore re-installing.
O-RING GREASING & MAINTENANCE ( 1)※
CAUTION! This housing uses two (2) O-rings, one (1) housing main body O-ring which
comes in contact with the back cover contact sur ace shown below, and one (1) Housing Port
O-ring. Please be sure to install the correct O-ring in the proper place. Failure to do so will
result in water leakage.
1. Using the O-ring Removal Pick, remove O-rings.
2. Clean sand, salt, other contaminants and old grease rom O-rings.
3. Clean O-ring grooves and O-ring Contact Sur aces using a clean cotton swab.
4. Visually and physically check each O-rings by running it through inger tips, eeling or
cuts, cracks or any other de ects that may cause leakage. Such de ects will cause water
leakage, i ound be sure to replace the O-ring. Be care ul not to stretch or pull the O-ring
too much.
5. Squeeze a rice grain sized bead o silicone grease between your thumb and ore inger.
Taking care not to pull or stretch the O-rings too much, uni ormly spread grease on O-
rings. Too little grease may cause the O-rings to twist in the groove, possibly causing
water leakage.

6. Place O-rings in the O-ring grooves, making sure they are uni orm, not twisted or bulging
out, possibly causing water leakage. When closing back cover, visually check O-ring
Contact Sur aces, tracing a inger over it to making sure no hair, lint or other
contaminants are attached.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
※When housing is not used or long periods, remove O-rings and place in separate plastic
bags to keep them ree o dust and other contaminants and store in a place out o direct
sunlight. Please also be care ul o prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during use. The
O-rings and housing may become de ormed, causing water leakage.
※A ter extended periods o non-use, soak closed empty housing with Lens Port attached in
lukewarm or hal a day. Manipulate all buttons and dials several times. Using a so t, dry
cloth wipe away water.
CAUTION!
※The O-ring is an essential part o waterproo ing or this housing. Not properly greasing the
O-ring as directed may cause the O-ring to twist in the O-ring groove, possibly causing
water leakage.
※Always per orm the above O-ring, O-ring Groove and O-ring Contact Sur ace maintenance
and greasing every time you open/close the housing.
※Please pay close attention and make sure the O-ring is not twisted or bulging, ree o any
contaminants (dirt, hair, etc.), and that oreign objects do not obstruct proper closing o the
housing Back Cover.
※DO NOT clean the housing with volatile organic solvents or chemical cleaning agents such
as thinner, gasoline, and benzine, etc.
※Flash and Monitor windows are manu actured using hard coat acrylic. When cleaning use
a clean so t cloth taking care not to scratch them.

AFTER-SALE SERVICE
Warranty period is two (2) years rom purchase or general users, six (6) months or
commercial or industrial users. Seatool/Recsea will repair manu acturing de ects ree o
charge during the warranty period when product is used in accordance with this manual. This
warranty is only valid or Housings purchased rom authorized Seatool/Recsea international
dealers. Damage due to customer use, and or any consumable parts, the repairs will be
charged at
normal rates. Shipping costs to and rom dealer, or Japan i necessary, shall be born by the
customer or warranty and all other cases. This warranty does not cover any damage to
digital camera or any reason, including damage caused by water intrusion. Please obtain
insurance or all your equipment. Any repairs due to the ollowing will be charged at normal
rates:
1. Repaired, modi ied or disassembled by person or company other than Seatool/Recsea;
2. I damaged in ire, natural disaster such as earthquake, lood, lightning, etc.;
3. Damage caused by dropping, impact, vibration;
4. When returned or warranty service not accompanied with Warranty In ormation copy, or i
Warranty In ormation is altered.
※Warranty does not cover any losses resulting rom the mal unction o this product,
including those related to lost pro its or any related expenses.
※Seatool/Recsea will stock parts necessary or repair or ive (5) years rom stop o
production.
※This product uses some degradable parts, such as buttons and O-rings. Seatool/Recsea
recommends overhauling the housing once per year, more requently i used o ten.
Overhaul service is charged at normal rates.
