effect operation of t e ousing or camera, and are not subject to warranty or any ot er

WARNING!
※ Do not store or leave ousing in reac of infants or small c ildren. T e strap may cause
c ocking and suffocation, or small parts may be swallowed causing injury.
※Please remove digital camera from ousing w en not in use. Battery malfunction or
damage may cause fire.
※T e ousing body is made of corrosion-resistant aluminum. However, saltwater can cause
rusting so be sure to rinse t oroug ly using fres water wit out fail.
※Some parts of t is product are made of polycarbonate w ic may be damaged by
c emicals or long periods direct sunlig t.
CAUTION!
※ To prevent water leakage and damage, DO NOT disassemble or modify t is ousing.
※ Do not store t e ousing in areas of ig umidity, ig or low temperatures, or areas of
extreme temperature fluctuation. Doing so may cause deterioration of parts.
※ W en diving, use a met od of water entry t at protects t e ousing from s ock, w ic can
cause water leakage. If at all possible ave ousing anded to you after entering t e
water.
※ T is ousing is designed to wit stand dept s of 100 meters (328 feet). Using t e ousing
at deeper dept s may cause damage and water leakage. Use caution and monitor dept .
※Remove O-ring or leave ousing slig tly open w en transporting by plane. Pressurization
of a sealed ousing during transport may cause damage or make it difficult to open.
※ W en opening and closing t e ousing be mindful of dust and ot er contaminants, w ic
may ad ere to t e to t e O-ring, possibly causing water leakage and damage.
※ Always c eck O-rings prior to eac use. Pay special attention to t e grease condition and
t at t e O-rings are seated uniformly in t e O-ring grooves wit no twists or bulges.
Neglecting to c eck t e O-rings prior to eac use may result in water leakage and
damage.
※ T e Port Lens is manufactured using ard coat acrylic. W en cleaning please take care
not to scratc it.

ATTENTION!
※T e ousing Front Dial, Mode Dial, and Exposure Compensation Dial are designed to turn
t ese camera dials back and fort via friction from t e O-ring t at comes in contact wit
t em inside t e ousing. S ould t e dials begin to slip, use a clean soft dry clot to wipe
away any oil and ot er contaminates t at may cause t e loss of friction from t e O-rings
and camera dials.
※Use t e Zoom Lever Lock Screw to lock Zoom Lever after setting wide focus w en using
an optional wide-angle port and lens. Accidentally zooming may cause damage to t e port
and lens.
NOTE: W en not in use, unscrew t e Zoom Lever Lock Screw to t e up position so t e
ead of t e screw rests stationary against t e retainer above it.
※Use Strobe Mask-External Strobe Connection Mount as required for attac ing external
flas cables.
※Open camera flas prior to installing camera.
※Attac Diffuser using t e grooves provided on t e Lens Port as s own above.
※Please refer to camera manual for explanation of all camera functions.
OPENING AND CLOSING THE BACK COVER
※Please do t e following operations in a clean area wit low umidity and dust.

To OPEN, press Lock Lever w ile pulling Secure-Latc away from ousing main body.
To CLOSE, press Secure-Latc into place making sure t e latc on t e underside is properly
placed in t e Secure-Latc Groove attac ed to t e main ousing body. Pus into t e locked
position. Double c eck to make sure it is firmly locked into place.
CAUTION! Due to pressurization after submersion, water on and around t e closure may be
sucked in at time of opening. be sure to wipe all excess water from ousing before opening.
CAUTION! Before using, please be sure to test t e ousing (wit out camera) in a bucket of
fres water. After use in salt water, rinse t oroug ly in a bucket of fres water wit out fail,
pressing all buttons several times to flus out salt deposits and ot er contaminants. Allowing
saltwater and contaminants to dry on ousing can damage functions and O-rings. Clean wit
fres water only, using a soft, dry clot to wipe away water.
INSTALLING CAMERA
※Please perform proper ousing and port O-RING MAINTENANCE prior to installation.
※Please conduct t e following operations in a clean area wit low umidity and dust.
※Camera can be inserted wit lens port attac ed.
1. C eck camera settings, battery is c arged and media storage capacity is sufficient.
2. Open camera flas .
NOTE: T e camera flas cannot be deployed after ousing is closed and t e camera may
not seat properly causing ousing dials, buttons, and levers not to function as intended.
3. Carefully install camera making sure camera does not to it ousing's internal controls. If
t e camera is not inserted correctly buttons, dials, and levers may not function properly.
4. After performing O-RING MAINTENANCE, carefully close back cover making sure
not ing is caug t between t e Secure-Latc and ousing. Pus Secure-Latc into t e
locked position making sure t e Lock Lever is in t e locked position. Double c eck to
make sure t e Secure-Latc is securely locked into place.
REMOVING CAMERA
CAUTION! After use in water, water will remain in gaps between ousing, back cover and
Secure-Latc . Wipe any water off ousing wit a soft dry towel to prevent water from falling
on camera.
1. Press Lock Lever w ile pulling Secure-Latc away from ousing main body. Open back
cover.
2. Carefully tip Housing backwards, gently sliding camera out of ousing into and.

INSTALLING LENS PORT
※Please perform proper Housing Port and Lens Port O-RING MAINTENANCE prior to
installation.
※Please conduct t e following operations in a clean area wit low umidity and dust.
CAUTION! Only use t e Lens Ports intended for t is ousing. Failure to use t e proper Lens
Port could result in image vignetting and distortion, as well as possible water leakage and/or
damage to t e camera.
1. Prepare t e Lens Port to be used.
2. Lig tly grease-up Housing Port O-ring Contact Surfaces.
3. Place Lens Port over Housing Port wit Lens Port Lock Tabs aligned wit Lens Port Tab
Grooves making sure t e Lens Port Lock Tab is at t e bottom.
4. Wit Lens Port is resting evenly on t e Housing Port pus down onto Housing Port.
5. Wit Lens Port evenly pus ed down onto Housing Port, rotate Lens Port
counterclockwise until t e Lens Port Release Lever engages wit an audible click.
REMOVING LENS PORT
CAUTION! After use in water, before removing Lens Port wipe any water off ousing and
Lens Port wit a soft dry towel to prevent water from falling into t e ousing and onto
camera.
1. Unlock t e Lens Port by pulling Lens Port Release Lever as s own above.
2. Rotate Lens Port clockwise until Lens Port Lock Tab is visible and position at t e bottom
of t e ousing.
3. Carefully pull Lens Port from Housing Port.
HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
※T e Lens Port is made of Polyoxymet ylene (POM). Excessive vibration or impact from
dropping or striking can damage t e port . Suc damage is NOT covered by warranty.

※T e Lens is manufactured using ard coat acrylic. W en cleaning please take care not to
scratc it. S ould t e Lens become scratc ed please send port to Seatool/Recsea for
replacement. (Repair fee and return s ipping will be c arged at normal rates)
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STROBE
※For eavy strobes and lig ts please use optional Grip & Tray Assembly and compatible
connector.
※W ile in t e ousing, t e Canon G5 X on-board flas CANNOT be opened. Open flas
prior to installing camera in ousing. Likewise t e flas does NOT close w en t e camera
is turned OFF. Be sure to manually close t e flas after camera is removed from ousing.
※Use t e Strobe Mask-External Strobe Connection Mount to connect external strobe fiber
optic cable.
Connecting fiber optic cable for external strobe use:
CAUTION! Store Strobe Mask-External Strobe Connection Mount and Screw in a secure
place so as not to lose t em.
1. Place t e Strobe Mask -External Strobe Connection Mount over t e Flas Window and
secure by screwing t e Strobe Mask Screw it into t e Strobe Mask Screw Socket.
2. Insert bear fiber-optic cable (INON) or plug (SEA&SEA) into sockets provided.
※Two (2) Tripod Screw Sockets are provided at t e bottom of t e ousing for use in
attac ing Seatool/Recsea genuine tray and grip assemblies.
CAUTION! Seatool/Recsea STRONGLY recommends t e use of Seatool/Recsea genuine
tray and grip assemblies listed below under OPTIONS. Leakage or damages due to t e use
of non-genuine options are NOT covered under warranty.
※T e Accessory S oe can be used for installation of a target lig t. Be mindful of weig t of
t e lig t intended to use. For eavy lig ts use Seatool/Recsea tray and grip assembly.

CAUTION! Damage is irreparable.
MAINTENANCE
CAUTION! Allowing saltwater and contaminants to dry on ousing can damage functions and
O-rings possibly causing water leakage. Clean wit fres water only, using a soft, dry clot to
wipe away water.
※A complete ousing over aul is recommend once every year.
1. After use in salt water, was off salt and ot er contaminants by soaking empty Housing,
wit Lens Port attac ed, t oroug ly in a bucket of fres water (lukewarm) for 10 to 20
minutes.
2. Manipulate all buttons and dials several times to flus out salt deposits and ot er
contaminants.
3. Wipe any water off ousing wit a soft dry clot .
4. Remove Lens Port and open Back Cover.
5. Using t e O-ring Removal Pick, remove O-rings.
6. Clean O-ring grooves and contact surfaces using a clean cotton swab. DO NOT clean
ousing or Lens Ports wit volatile organic solvents or c emical cleaning agents suc as
t inner, gasoline, and benzine, etc.
7. Perform O-RING GREASING & MAINTENANCE as instructed below.
O-RING GREASING & MAINTENANCE ( 1)※
CAUTION! DO NOT use silicone grease ot er t an t at provided by Seatool/Recsea.
※ Before conducting grease-up of t e ousing Back Cover and Lens Port O-rings, t oroug ly
clean O-ring grooves (Back Cover and Lens Port), and O-ring contact surfaces (Housing).
Be sure to also apply a t in layer of grease to contact surfaces.
CAUTION! T is ousing uses t ree (3) O-rings, one (1) Back Cover O-ring and two (2) Lens
Port O-ring as s own below and on page 5. Please be sure to install t e correct O-ring in t e
proper place. Failure to do so will result in water leakage.
1. Using t e O-ring Removal Pick, remove O-rings.
2. Clean sand, salt, ot er contaminants and old grease from O-rings.
3. Clean O-ring Grooves and O-ring Contact Surfaces using a clean cotton swab.
4. Visually and p ysically c eck O-rings by passing t roug finger tips, feeling for cuts,
cracks or any ot er defects. Suc defects will cause water leakage, so be sure to
replace t e O-ring. Be careful not to stretc or pull t e O-rings too muc .

5. Squeeze a rice grain sized bead of silicone grease on your t umb and forefinger. Taking
care not to pull or stretc t e O-ring too muc , uniformly spread grease on O-ring. Too
little grease may cause t e O-ring to twist in t e groove, possibly causing water leakage.
6. Place O-ring in t e appropriate O-ring Groove, making sure t at it is uniform, not twisted
or bulging out, possibly causing water leakage. W en closing back cover, visually c eck
O-ring surface, tracing a finger over t e to making sure no air, lint or ot er contaminants
are attac ed.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
※W en ousing is not used for long periods, remove O-rings and place in a plastic bags to
keep t em free of dust and ot er contaminants and store in a place out of direct sunlig t.
Please also be careful of prolonged exposure to direct sunlig t during use. T e O-rings
and ousing may become deformed, causing water leakage.
※After extended periods of non-use, soak empty Housing, wit Lens Port attac ed, in
lukewarm water for alf a day. Manipulate all buttons and dials several times. Using a soft,
dry clot wipe away water.
CAUTION!
※O-ring are an essential part of waterproofing for t is ousing. Not properly greasing t e O-
rings as directed may cause t e O-ring to twist in t e O-ring groove, possibly causing
water leakage.
※Always perform t e above O-ring, O-ring groove and O-ring Contact Surface maintenance
and greasing every time you open/close t e ousing.
※ Please pay close attention and make sure t e O-rings are not twisted or bulging, free of
any contaminants (dirt, air, etc.), and t at foreign objects do not obstruct proper closing
of t e ousing Back Cover or attac ment of t e Lens Port.
※ DO NOT clean t e ousing wit volatile organic solvents or c emical cleaning agents suc
as t inner, gasoline, and benzine, etc.
※Housing LCD window is manufactured using ard coat acrylic. W en cleaning use a clean
soft clot taking care not to scratc it.

AFTER-SALE SERVICE
Warranty period is two (2) years from purc ase for general users, six (6) mont s for
commercial or industrial users. Seatool/Recsea will repair manufacturing defects free of
c arge during t e warranty period w en product is used in accordance wit t is manual.
T is warranty is only valid for ousings purc ased from aut orized Seatool/Recsea
international dealers. Damage due to customer use, and for any consumable parts, t e
repairs will be c arged at normal rates. S ipping costs to and from dealer, or Japan if
necessary, s all be born by t e customer for warranty and all ot er cases. T is warranty
does not cover any damage to digital camera for any reason, including damage caused by
water intrusion. Please obtain insurance for all your equipment. Any repairs due to t e
following will be c arged at normal rates:
1) Repaired, modified or dissembled by person or company ot er t an Seatoll/Recsea;
2) If damaged in fire, natural disaster suc as eart quake, flood, lig tning, etc.;
3) Damage caused by dropping, impact, vibration;
4) W en returned for warranty service not accompanied wit Warranty Information copy, or if
Warranty Information is altered.

※Warranty does not cover any losses resulting from any malfunction of t is product,
including t ose related to lost profits or any related expenses.
※ Seatool/Recsea will stock parts necessary for repair for five (5) years from stop of
production.
※T is product uses some degradable parts, suc as buttons and O-rings. Seatol/Recsea
recommends over auling t e ousing once per year, more frequently if used often.
Over aul service is c arged at normal rates.
