lessyouuseatargetplate).Toincreasethemeasurementrangeduring
daylightorifthetargethaspoorreectionpropertiesyoucanuseatarget
plate.
Target Surfaces
Measuringerrorscanoccurwhenmeasuringtowardcolorlessliquids
(e.g.water)ordustfreeglass,Styrofoamorsimilarsemi-permeablesur-
faces.Aimingathighglosssurfacesmaydeectthelaserbeamandlead
tomeasurementerrors.Whenmeasuringagainstnon-reectiveanddark
surfacesthemeasuringtimemayincrease.
On and Off
TheOn/Measurebuttonturnstheinstrumentandlaseron.PresstheClear
buttonforafewsecondstoturntheinstrumentandlaseroff.Theinstru-
mentswitchesoffautomaticallyafterthreeminutesofinactivity.
Clear Button
Thisbuttoncancelsthelastactionandclearsthedisplay.
Reference Level Setting

movedtothetarget,wherebythemeasuredvalue
isupdatedapprox.every0.5seconds.
Thecorrespondingmaxandminvaluesare
displayeddynamicallyintherstandsecondline.
Forexample,theusercanmovefroma
walltotherequireddistance,whilethe
actualdistancecanbereadcontinuously.
Forcontinuousmeasurement,presstheMax/Min
buttonuntiltheindicatorforcontinuousmeasurements
appearsonthedisplay.PressitagainorpresstheOn/Measurebutton
tostopthefunction.Thefunctionisterminatedafter100continuous
measurements.
