Function selection
1) Turn on the meter by pressing the Power Button. To turn the meter
off, hold the Power Button for over 2 seconds.
2) The meter has 3 measuring functions to choose from:
Conductivity, TDS, and Salt.
When the meter is on, press and hold the Function Button. The display
will ash “Cd”, for Conductivity measurements, “tdS” for TDS measure-
ments, and “SALt” for Salt measurements. Release the Function Button to
choose the displayed function. The meter’s defaults are following:
Display Unit: Conductivity
Temperature Unit: °C
Temp. Compensation Factor: 2.0% per °C
Auto range: ON
Auto power off: ON
Datalogger Sampling Time: 2 seconds
Conductivity Measurement
1) When the meter is off, plug the Probe Plug into the Probe Socket,
then power on the meter by pressing the Power Button.
2) Select the “Cd” function (see Function Select).
3) Hold the Probe Handle and fully immerse the Probe Sensor into the
measuring solution. Shake the Probe to let the Probe’s internal air
bubble drift out from under the sensing head. The top part of the
Display will show the conductivity mS (µS) values, and the lower
part of the Display will show the temperature value of the solution.
Manual Range
The meter is defaulted to Auto Range mode. Push the Range Button to
change the range from 200µS, 2mS, 20mS, 200mS and Auto Range.

Zero Adjustment
If the probe is not immersed in the measuring solution and the display will
not show a Zero Value. Press and hold the Up Button for about 10 sec-
onds and the display will then show zero. The Zero function is only valid
for the 200µS range and not when the Zero Value is < 2.0µS.
TDS Measurement
1) When the meter is off, plug the Probe Plug into the Probe Socket,
then power on the meter by pressing the Power Button.
2) Select the “tdS” function (see Function Select)
3) Hold the Probe Handle and fully immerse the Probe Sensor into the
measuring solution. Shake the Probe to let the Probe’s internal air
bubble drift out from under the sensing head. The Display will show
the Total Dissolved Solids value.
Salt Measurement
1) When the meter is off, plug the Probe Plug into the Probe Socket,
then power on the meter by pressing the Power Button.
2) Select the “SALt” function (see Function Select)
3) Hold the Probe Handle and fully immerse the Probe Sensor into the
measuring solution. Shake the Probe to let the Probe’s internal air
bubble drift out from under the sensing head. The Display will show
the Salt value (% of weight).
Calibration
1) Prepare the optional standard conductivity solution
2) Install the Probe Plug into the Probe Socket
3) Power on the meter by pressing Power Button
4) Hold the Probe Handle and let the Sensing head get fully immersed
the calibration solution. Shake the probe to let the probe’s internal

tions.
4) Now you need to set the decimal format. The numerical data struc-
ture downloaded to the SD card is defaulted used the “.” as the
decimal, for example “20.6” “1000.53”. But in certain countries the
“,” is used as the decimal point, for example “20,6” “1000,53”. See
Advanced Settings section of this manual for instructions on how
to change the Decimal Character.

1) Start Datalogging; press the REC Button, and the “REC” symbol
will appear on the LCD screen, then press the Logger Button, the
“REC” symbol will ash while the measuring data and time informa-
tion is being saved in memory. To set the sampling time, and to
toggle the beeper sound on or off, refer to the Advanced Settings
section of this manual.
2) Pause the Datalogging; while Datalogging, if press the Logger But-

SD Card Data Structure
1) The rst time the SD card is used in the meter, the SD card will
generate a folder: CDA01
2) The rst time you use the Datalogger, in the folder CDA01, a new
le name CDA01001.XLS will be created. The Datalogger will use
this le until the Data has reached to 30,000 rows. The meter will
then will generate a new le with a subsequent number, for ex-
ample CDA01002.XLS.
3) The folder CDA01 can hold 99.XLS les. When that number has
been reached, the meter will then will generate a new folder with
a subsequent number, for example CDA02. Max number of CDA--
folders is 10.
Data Transfer from SD card to Computer (EXCEL Software)
1) After Datalogging, remove the SD card from the SD card slot.
2) Plug in the SD card into the Computer’s SD card slot or insert the
SD card into the optional SD card adapter and connect to your
Computer. Turn your computer on and a folder will appear on your
desktop representing you SD card.
3) Open “Microsoft EXCEL”. Download the EXCEL les from the SD
Card to the computer by opening up the SD folder and selecting
the desired EXCEL les, and drag-and-drop them onto your Com-
puter. Open the les with EXCEL (File – Open).
4) The EXCEL le will have the following column headers in this order:
Place (Position Number), Date (Year/Month/Day), Time (in 24h
clock), Value & Unit.
