Remington BB1000 User manual

Be patient when first using your REVEAL Body Brush as with any new
product it may take a little while to familiarize yourself with the product.
Take the time to acquaint yourself with your Body Brush as we are confident
you will receive years of enjoyable use and complete satisfaction.
Instructions for Charging
1. Always ensure that your hands, cleansing brush and power adapter are
dry before charging.
NOTE: Before using for the first time, fully charge the Body Brush.
One full charge will take 2 hours.
2. Ensure the appliance is switched off.
3. Insert the charging adaptor into the
power inlet of the appliance. (Fig. 1)
4. Plug the adaptor into the wall outlet.
• The charging indicator lights will glow
in a rotating sequence while the Body
Brush is charging.
• When the Body Brush is fully charged,
all charging indicator lights will remain
illuminated for 5 minutes, then turn off.
• One full charge will take 2 hours.
• One full charge allows up to 40 minutes of cordless usage time.
NOTE: If the battery charge is low, all three LED lights will pulse on and
off whilein use.
Quick Charge Function
• The Body Brush is also equipped with a quick charge function.
• To utilize this function, charge the Body Brush for 30 minutes.
• This will provide approximately 5 minutes use.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not
use attachments not recommended by Spectrum Brands, Inc.
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
• Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it has been dropped into water.
• Never drop or insert any object into any of the appliance’s openings.
• Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used,
or where oxygen is being administered.
• Do not use an extension cord or a voltage converter with this appliance.
• Do not wrap the cord around the appliance.
• For additional protection the installation of a residual current device (RDC) with
a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable. Ask an
electrician for advice necessary.
• After use the appliance should be cleaned to avoid the accumulations of grease
and other residues.
• Always store this appliance and cord in a moisture-free area. Do not store it in
temperatures exceeding 140°F (60°C).
• Avoid using on the delicate skin around the eyes.
• DO NOT use the body brush on the same area more than twice a day.
• DO NOT use the body brush on areas with open wounds, sunburnt skin, chapped
or irritated skin.
• DO NOT use if you suffer from skin diseases or skin irritations such as severe/
active acne or skin infection.
• DO NOT use if you are taking steroid-based medication.
• DO NOT use the body brush with cleansers containing harsh
chemicals or rough particles.
• If you wish to share this product with other users, for hygiene reasons, ensure you
changed the brush head. DO NOT share brush heads between multiple users.
• If you experience any pain or discomfort stop using this product and contact
your doctor.
Getting Acquainted With The Rotating Body Brush
• The rotating bristles gently exfoliate the skin for smooth, radiant results.
• UNIVERSAL BRUSH: Ideal for use in the shower,
with your favorite shower gel or body wash for
gentle exfoliation and a deep cleanse.

NOTE: This product is suitable for wet use and may be used in the shower.
• DO NOT submerge in water.
• The charging adaptor cannot be used in a bath or shower.
• The Body Brush has 2 speed settings. Always choose the speed setting most
comfortable for you.
NOTE: We recommend applying gentle pressure and selecting speed setting 1 for
the first few uses while you become familiar with the sensation.
HOW TO USE
TO REMOVE THE BRUSH HEAD
• Gently pull the brush head from the Body Brush (Fig. 2)
TO ATTACH THE BRUSH HEAD
• Gently push the brush head onto the Body Brush (Fig. 3).
TO SWITCH THE BODY BRUSH ON
• Ensure the brush head is attached securely:
• Press the On/Off button once.
• The Body Brush will start to rotate on speed setting 1.

Cleaning and Maintenance
• To ensure long lasting performance of your Body Brush, clean regularly.
• Ensure the Body Brush is switched off before cleaning.
• DO NOT attempt to clean any part of this product in a dishwasher.
• Do not submerge the brush handle in water.
• Universal brush head: after each use, detach the brush head, rinse under water
and allow to dry on a flat surface with the bristles facing upwards.
• Brush Handle: To clean the handle, wipe with a damp cloth.
CAUTION: Ensure all parts are dry before connecting the charging adaptor into a
power outlet.
Product Disposal
• The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is discarded.
• The appliance must be disconnected from the wall socket when removing
the battery.
• Run the Body Brush until the motor stops.
• Remove brush head
• Remove the 5 screw caps from the bottom of the body brush handle and
expose the screws.
• Use a screwdriver to remove the 5 screws.
• Take out the bottom housing and expose the printed circuit diagram board and
battery assembly.
• Take the battery out and cut the connection strap from the printed circuit
diagram board.
• Dispose of the battery safely.
Limited Two-Year Warranty
Spectrum Brands, Inc. warrants this product against any defects that are due to faulty
material or workmanship for a two-year period from the original date of consumer
purchase. This warranty does not include damage to the product resulting from
accident or misuse. If the product should become defective within the warranty

TO CHANGE THE SPEED SETTING:
• The Body Brush will automatically start on speed 1.
• Press the button again for speed 2.
TO SWITCH THE BODY BRUSH OFF:
• When using speed 1, press the On/Off button twice.
• When using speed 2, press the On/Off button once.
TO ATTACH THE EXTENSION HANDLE TO THE BRUSH
• Remove the brush head and press the rounded
side of the body brush into the larger side of the
extension handle until it snaps into place. (Fig. 4)
• Then attach the brush head.
TO LENGTHEN THE EXTENSION HANDLE
• Twist handle counter-clockwise to loosen. (Fig. 5)
• Pull to desired length. (Fig. 6)
• Twist handle clockwise to tighten and secure in
place. (Fig. 7)
TO DETACH THE EXTENSION HANDLE FROM THE BRUSH
• Remove the brush head. While supporting the
extension handle and the far side of the body brush,
press firmly on the rounded side of the body brush
until the brush comes free from the handle. (Fig. 8)
UNIVERSAL BRUSH HEAD
• The universal brush head is perfect for use in the
shower for gentle exfoliation and a deep cleanse.
• It is not recommended for dry use.
• For best results, use the universal brush head with
your favorite shower gel or body wash.
NOTE: Avoid any products containing harsh chemicals or rough particles.
• Ensure the brush is switched off.
• Moisten the bristles of the brush.
• Dampen your skin with water and apply shower gel or body wash directly onto
the brush.
• Switch on using the On/Off button.
• Select the speed:
• The Body Brush will automatically start on speed 1.
• Press the button again for speed 2
• Gently glide the brush over the skin in circular motions to create a rich lather
then rinse off under the shower.
NOTE: Try to avoid applying too much pressure with the brush when directly on the
skin. If this happens the brush will automatically stop its cycle and switch off. This
is perfectly normal and helps to ensure a comfortable treatment. The body brush
can be restarted by pressing the On/Off button.

REPLACING THE BRUSH HEAD
• For best results, we recommend replacing the brush head approximately every
3 months.
• Replacement Brush Heads are available:
• Universal Brush: SP-BB1
• Natural Brush: SP-BB2

DRY BODY BRUSHING WITH THE NATURAL BRUSH
(AVAILABLE BY SPECIAL ORDER)
TIP: When changing brush heads, test each head on different speeds to identify
which is most comfortable for you.
• Dry body brushing is ideal for exfoliating and energizing the skin.
• For best results, use the dry body brush every day.
• Dry body brushing should be carried out in the morning, before you shower
or bathe.
• Start from your feet and work upwards, move the brush from the soles of the
feet and up the legs with long sweeping motions.
• When you reach the top of the legs, start to use circular motions and continue
over the buttocks and around the abdomen.
• When brushing the upper back and the chest, use small strokes and stroke in
the direction towards the heart.
• Lastly, finish with the hands and arms. Start at the palm of the hand and work up
the arms with light strokes finishing at the shoulder.
TIP: the elbows and knees can be drier than other areas so you may wish to spend
a little more time on those areas.
NOTE: for sensitive areas, apply less pressure.
• After dry body brushing, take a shower and finish by applying a body oil or lotion
for soft, radiant skin.
