1. Introduction
The KE-30 is a wireless keypad for use with Rosslare wireless
panels. The KE-30 features include:
•Fully featured keypad, including: LED indicators, function
buttons (arm-away, arm-home, disarm), numeric pad,
buzzer, and emergency triggering.
•RFID proximity reader for arming and disarming; The range
varies according to the type of card used, and is up to a
maximum of 2.5 cm.
•LED indications of the system status, including: Alarm In
Memory, Trouble and Bypass, and system status (armed
away / armed home / disarmed).
•Wall keypad tamper-protection mechanism.
•Low-power consumption; its internal batteries are
designed to last for years, under normal operation.

3. Install the KE-30
: G-Band (433.92 MHz), H-Band (868.35 MHz)
3.1 Mounting the KE-30
Open the KE-30 and mount the back cover of the KE-30 flush
to the wall.
To mount the keypad on the wall:
1. Locate and release the screws at the bottom of the
keypad, and open the cover.
2. Place the back plate at the desired location. (The keypad
should be installed at eye level.)
3. Use the dimensions given in the figure to the right, or use
the back cover as a template.
4. Drill four holes in the wall and insert the anchors provided.
5. Mount and fasten the back plate with the screws
provided, and assure that the back plate is level.
6. Secure the back plate with the screws referred to in
Step 1.

3.2 Replacing the Batteries
To replace the CR123A batteries:
1. Remove the used batteries and replace them .
2. Close the cover and the system is up and running.
3.3 Enrolling the Keypad
Please refer to the Keypad Enrolling section of the HomeLogiX
wireless panel manual or refer to any Rosslare wireless panel
manual that supports the relevant keypad.
3.4 Enrolling Proximity Cards
Please refer to the Proximity Card Enrolling section of the
HomeLogiX wireless panel manual or refer to any Rosslare
wireless panel manual that supports the relevant proximity
cards.

4. Tamper
The KE-30 is secured to the wall with a screw (see Mounting
the KE-30). Tamper control is implemented via a knock-out
hole as soon as the KE-30 has been installed. Any attempt to
tamper with the system will set off an alarm.

5. Utilizing the KE-30 Wireless keypad
The KE-30 functions as both an Arming/Disarming unit and as
a Status Viewing unit.
5.1 Arm/Disarm and Basic Operations
Below are instructions on how to arm the system using the
various options.
Basic Arming Using the keypad
•Press the ARM AWAY key, and enter the user code. The
system will beep, and the ARM AWAY LED indicator will
flash.
•Press the ARM HOME key, and enter the user code. The
system will beep, and the ARM HOME LED indicator will
flash.
•Press the DISARM key, and enter the user code. The
DISARM LED indicator will flash.
The QUICK AWAY and QUICK HOME functions:
•Press the AWAY button for 2 seconds. The system will
beep, and will be Armed AWAY.
•Press the HOME button for 2 seconds. The system will
beep, and will be Armed HOME.
Emergency Alarm Activation:
•Press on 1 and 3 simultaneously for 3 seconds to activate
the emergency alarm.
5.2 Status Viewing
Note
The KE-30 indicates a panel's status by flashing the relevant
LED indicator, and displays one of the following statuses:
: The ARM HOME LED indicator, the ARM AWAY LED
indicator, and the DISARM LED indicator flash, but they do
not remain on continuously.
•Armed Away
•Armed Home
•Disarmed
•In Memory and Trouble
•By-pass
When a new KE-30 unit is turned on, a flashing TROUBLE LED
indicator indicates that the unit must be enrolled. Once it
has been enrolled, the Disarm LED indicator will flash.
If the system is experiencing trouble, the TROUBLE LED
indicator (!) will flash.
If there is an Alarm in Memory in the System, the ALARM LED
indicator (M) will flash.
If the System is by-passed, the BYPASS LED indicator (Z) will
flash.
5.3 RFID Function
Note:
The RFID function is deactivated by default, since if it is
activated, battery life will be significantly shortened.
Enabling the RFID Function:
Press both on the * key and the # key for 3 seconds until the
system beeps twice.
After the system beeps twice, press 1, and then press #.
When the RFID is activated, the system will beep once.
Cancelling the RFID function:
Press both on the * key and the # key for 3 seconds until the
system beeps twice.
After the system beeps twice, press 0, and then press #.
The RFID is now deactivated.
Enrolling proximity cards:
Please refer to the Proximity Card Enrolling section of the
HomeLogiX wireless panel manual or refer to any Rosslare
wireless panel manual that supports the relevant proximity
cards.
Using a Proximity Card to ARM or DISARM the System:
Note
Press on the Away, Home, or Disarm button. then place the
card directly above the keypad. The system will activate the
desired function (Arm Away/Home or Disarm).
: First activate the RFID function.
Caution:
Changes or modifications to this equipment
not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance (Rosslare Ltd.) could void the user’s
authority to operate the equipment.

6. Limited Warranty
ROSSLARE ENTERPRISES LIMITED S (Rosslare) TWO YEAR LIMITED
WARRANTY is applicable worldwide. This warranty supersedes any other warranty.
Rosslare's TWO YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY is subject to the following conditions:
Warranty of Rosslare's products extends to the original purchaser (Customer) of the
Rosslare product and is not transferable.
Warranty
ROSSLARE ENTERPRISES LTD. AND / ORSUBSIDIARIES (ROSSLARE) warrants
that the KE-30 Keyboard Voice Module, to be free from defects in materials and
assembly in the course of normal use and service. The warranty period commences
with the date of shipment to the original purchaser and extends for a period of 2
years (24 Months).
Products Covered By This Warranty and Duration
In the event of a breach of warranty, ROSSLARE will credit Customer with the price
of the Product paid by Customer, provided that the warranty claim is delivered to
ROSSLARE by the Customer during the warranty period in accordance with the
terms of this warranty. Unless otherwise requested by ROSSLARE ENTERPRISES
LTD. AND / OR SUBSIDIARIES representative, return of the failed product(s) is not
immediately required.
Warranty Remedy Coverage
If ROSSLARE has not contacted the Customer within a sixty (60) day holding period
following the delivery of the warranty claim, Customer will not be required to return
the failed product(s). All returned Product(s), as may be requested at ROSSLARE
ENTERPRISES LTD. AND /OR SUBSIDIARY’S sole discretion, shall become the
property of ROSSLARE ENTERPRISES LTD. AND /OR SUBSIDIARIES.
To exercise the warranty, the user must contact Rosslare Enterprises Ltd. to obtain
an RMA number after which, the product must be returned to the Manufacturer
freight prepaid and insured
In the event ROSSLARE chooses to perform a product evaluation within the sixty
(60) day holding period and no defect is found, a minimum US$ 50.00 or equivalent
charge will be applied to each Product for labor required in the evaluation.
Rosslare will repair or replace, at its discretion, any product that under normal
conditions of use and service proves to be defective in material or workmanship. No
charge will be applied for labor or parts with respect to defects covered by this
warranty, provided that the work is done by Rosslare or a Rosslare authorized
service center.
ROSSLARE shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss resulting from
the operation or performance of any Product or any systems in which a Product is
incorporated. This warranty shall not extend to any ancillary equipment not furnished
by ROSSLARE, which is attached to or used in conjunction with a Product, nor to
any Product that is used with any ancillary equipment, which is not furnished by
ROSSLARE.
Exclusions and Limitations
This warranty does not cover expenses incurred in the transportation, freight cost to
the repair center, removal or reinstallation of the product, whether or not proven
defective.
Specifically excluded from this warranty are any failures resulting from Customer's
improper testing, operation, installation, or damage resulting from use of the Product
in other than its normal and customary manner, or any maintenance, modification,
alteration, or adjustment or any type of abuse, neglect, accident, misuse, improper
operation, normal wear, defects or damage due to lightning or other electrical
discharge. This warranty does not cover repair or replacement where normal use
has exhausted the life of a part or instrument, or any modification or abuse of, or
tampering with, the Product if Product disassembled or repaired in such a manner as
to adversely affect performance or prevent adequate inspection and testing to verify
any warranty claim.
ROSSLARE does not warrant the installation, maintenance, or service of the
Product. Service life of the product is dependent upon the care it receives and the
conditions under which it has to operate.
In no event shall Rosslare be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
THIS WARRANTY SETS FORTH THE FULL EXTENT OF ROSSLARE ENTERPRISES LTD.AND
ITS SUBSIDIARIES WARRANTY.
Limited Warranty Terms
115BTHE TERMS OF THISWARRANTY MAY NOT BE VARIED BY ANY PERSON,WHETHER OR
NOT PURPORTING TO REPRESENT OR ACT ON BEHALF OF ROSSLARE.
116BTHIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS PROVIDED IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES.ALL OTHER
WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED,INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION,IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,ARE
SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDED.
117BIN NO EVENT SHALL ROSSLARE BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES IN EXCESS OF THE PURCHASE
PRICE OF THE PRODUCT,OR FOR ANY OTHER INCIDENTAL,CONSEQUENTIAL OR
SPECIAL DAMAGES,INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE,LOSS OF TIME,
COMMERCIAL LOSS,INCONVENIENCE,AND LOSS OF PROFITS,ARISING OUT OF THE
INSTALLATION,USE,OR INABILITY TO USE SUCH PRODUCT,TO THE FULLEST EXTENT
THAT ANY SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGE MAY BE DISCLAIMED BY LAW.
118BTHIS WARRANTY SHALL BECOME NULL AND VOID IN THE EVENT OF A VIOLATION OF THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
7. 62BDeclaration of Conformity
135BThis equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to
provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential
installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy
and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause
harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by
turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
