0. Introduction
Dear customer, thank you very much for the trust
and the purchase of our Royal Exclusiv®LED
lamp RE-Light. During development, our special
focus was on illuminating the surface and evenly
and creating daylight that is as nature-identical
as possible. The animals thus receive a spect-
rum that comes close to their natural habitat. This
allows them to form and grow strong color pig-
ments. We have thought of the night owls among
the animals by means of a moonlight with integ-
rated moon phase calendar.
We wish you a lot of fun and joy with your lamp.
1. Foreword
1.1. Applications
The Royal Exclusiv®LED lamp RE-Light is sui-
table for illumination of freshwater and saltwater
aquariums, as well as for terrariums AquaSca-
ping, hydroponics and botany applications.
The lamp is always to be used for use in a „clean
environment“ indoor.
Ambient temperature : 0 °C bis max. +50 °C

stalled.
When unpacking the lamp, check that all parts
are complete and undamaged. Any damage
found must be reported to your supplier within
24 hours of purchase.
The lamp is tested before it leaves the factory.
Before packaging, the lamp was treated with a
biodegradable disinfectant to kill any bacteria
present.
Before you put the lamp into operation, the lamp
must be checked for damage. If the lamp is da-
maged, it must not be put into operation. Inform
your supplier immediately! In the event of com-
missioning despite external damage, any war-
ranty and liability claims are excluded.
Unplug the power outlet and make sure the lamp
cannot be turned on. During the entire installati-
on work, the lamp must not be connected to the
mains.
These instructions should inform you correctly

under any circumstances!
Our luminaires are equipped with the CE mark.
This can usually be found on the type plate.
2.3. Safety
Please note the following information onPlease note the following information on
operation:operation:
The luminaire must be mounted at a minimum
distance of 10 cm from the water surface.
Use our stand-up feet or our rope system.
The rope system must be checked at regular
intervals for possible corrosion.
The luminaire must not be operated without
a splash screen.
The luminaires are intended exclusively for
operation via aquariums inside the building.
They must not be operated under water.
During maintenance work, the luminaire
must be completely disconnected from the
electrical mains.
When working in the aquarium, it is recom-
mended to disconnect the lighting from the

3. Overview
3.1 Controller
The lamp controller of the Royal Exclusiv®RE-
Light is located on the side of the lamp and
can be operated directly. As soon as the lamp
is energized, an internal battery charges within
seconds. This prevents the date and time as
well as all settings from being lost in the event
of a power failure. The battery has a capacity of
about 2-3 days.
3.2 Saving Settings
Settings are saved and activated as soon as you
get to the start or overview view with the „Start“
button from the menu (see point 4).
3.3 Joystick
On the housing, the entire operation is carried
out via the built-in 5-point joystick
3.4 Display
3.5 Lamp temperature
The lamp temperature indicates the current tem-
perature of the lamp. Overheating of the lamp is
prevented by an automatic light intensity reduc-
tion from a lamp temperature of 60°C.
This prevents increased aging of the LEDs.
As a rule, the automated decrease in light inten-
sity is imperceptible to the human eye.
4. Installation
4.1 Installation of the luminaire
For the two suspensions, drill holes in the load-
bearing structure, e.g. ceiling, according to the
cable system.
Assembly equipment such as dowels, screws,
etc. must be chosen according to local condi-
tions. Let your specialist dealer advise you. Af-
ter successfully attaching the rope suspension,
the luminaire can be hung with the help of the
Y-mount.

4.2 Commissioning of the luminaire
Connect the power connector of the Royal Ex-
clusiv®LED lamp RE-Light to the power supply
(-without power-) and connect the controller to
the supplied cable with network connection.
Then check all connections again carefully!
You can now connect the power supply to the
mains via safety plug.
ATTENTION: When switching on or operating
the luminaire, do not look at the light/beam
surface!!!
There is a risk of delusion
Es besteht Gefahr der Verblendung
The controller will take about 2-10 seconds to
start and starts once with the appearance of the
Royal Exclusiv logo.
The LEDs will run at full power for a short time
during this initialization. Then they automatically
switch to factory settings or the previously saved
settings.
The power supply and the light get warm during
operation. Therefore, make sure that sufcient
heat dissipation is ensured.
5. Preview and Quick View (demo mode)
In order to obtain a rough setting of the desired
target spectrum or for demonstration purposes,
the lamp controller has a quick view of the 7 lamp
channels that can be mixed individually. Here,
the light intensity of the individual channels is ad-
justable between 0-100%.
Procedure
a.On the running controller (whether in display
standby or screensaver mode) where the cont-
roller is in the overview view, the joystick is initi-
ally moved in one direction.
b. Then a submenu opens where you can se-
lect a color channel by moving the joystick up or
down. By pressing the joystick you can now get
to the intensity setting.
c. In the respective selected channel, the inten-
sity can then be changed by the four directions
of movement of the joystick.
The intensity can now be changed live in this
program mode.

pective intensity by pressing the joystick, you get
back to the color channel selection list. Note: All
channels except the initially selected one in this
so-called demo mode now switch to the intensity
level 0%. Each channel can be adjusted, mixed
and conrmed, stored in the described way.
e. It is now possible to get from the color
channel selection list to the start screen to get
the intensities of the individual set channels as
an overall overview. To do this, navigate down
or up with the joystick until the navigation com-
mand „back“ appears. Enter then takes you to
the start screen:
f. You can now see on the start screen by
the exclamation marks (!) instead of the percent
sign (%) next to the color channels that you are
still in the so-called demo mode.
If there is now a desire to continue mixing the
color channels in this demo mode, the joystick
must be pressed back in one of the respective
directions as described under a. You can then
proceed as described under b. and c.
g. If you now wish to return to automatic
mode, this is done by pressing the joystic key
„Enter“. This takes you back to the basic settings
menu.
From there you navigate down to the menu item
„Start“ and conrm by pressing the joystick „En-
ter“ that you want to switch from demo mode
back to automatic mode.

If the screensaver has appeared or the display
has become dark depending on the setting, you
can get to the overview by pressing the joystick.
6.6 Menu scheme level lamp setting
The Royal Exclusiv®RE-Light already has a
factory preset and three additional „presets“.
The presets are stored for pure PLC, LPS lling
and a mixed setting of PLC-LPS so that you can
start directly.
If you want to change individual channels, ne-
tune the „presets“ (e.g. because you have a
higher cymbal and want to increase the intensi-
ty or times.), there is the possibility in the lamp
setting menu. 7 channels are adjustable: White,
Blue, Red, Violet, Dark Blue 1, Dark Blue 2 and
Turquoise, as well as a feature that simulates
the moon phase at night when the main light has
been dimmed down.
Therefore, the „presets“ can be adapted to
personal feeling and taste. This so-called ne
tuning is maintained as long as the LED is con-
nected to the mains, unless the lamp remains
disconnected from the power for a longer time
(2-3 days) so that the internally installed back-
up battery discharges. If the period is exceeded,
the initial „presets“ are preset again. You can
ne-tune again.
*graphical overview see next page
After all settings have been made, there is ano-
ther possibility. You can quickly view the adjus-
ted lamp setting with „simulation“. Fast forward
is a 24-hour day in fast motion.
For each of the 7 lamp channels and the moon
channel, it is possible to set the intensity, start,
end time, the duration start of the dimming pro-
cess and the duration end of the dimming pro-
cess.
6.7 Intensity
The „Intensity“ is given as a percentage between
0-100%. It indicates how bright or how strong the
lamp lights up after the dimming process starts.
If you move the joystick to the right or left, the
intensity level changes in steps of 10
If you move the joystick up or down, the intensity
level changes in steps of 1.
6.8 Start Time
The „Start Time“ indicates at what time the lamp
should start with the start of the dimming pro-
cess, i.e. from dark to light.
With the joystick, the respective number is incre-
ased or decreased upwards or downwards, by
moving the joystick to the left and to the right you
move the cursor to the next eld to be set.

6.9 End Time
The „End Time“ indicates the time at which the
dimming process from light to dark should be -
nished.
With the joystick, the respective number is incre-
ased or decreased upwards or downwards, by
moving the joystick to the left and to the right you
move the cursor to the next eld to be set.
6.10 Duration Start
„Duration Start“ indicates how long the dimming
process should take from dark to reaching the
maximum specied percentage value (light). The
duration is counted in minutes and runs a preset
prole for the respective channel. No further set-
ting is required.
If you move the joystick to the right or left, the
intensity level changes in steps of 10
If you move the joystick up or down, the intensity
level changes in steps of 1.

6.11 Duration End
Duration End indicates how long the dimming
process should take from light to reach the mini-
mum percentage value (dark).
The duration is counted in minutes and runs
a preset prole for the respective channel. No
further setting is required.
If you move the joystick to the right or left, the
intensity level changes in steps of 10
If you move the joystick up or down, the intensity
level changes in steps of 1.
6.12 Automatic moon
With the moonlight setting, it is also possible
to choose between a
moon phase automa-
tic or a manual moon-
light setting.
In contrast to the
„moon automatic“,
you set the maximum
intensity yourself with
the inactive setting.
This means that the maximum intensity does not
change from day to day according to the respec-
tive moon phase, but remains constant every
day between the selected start-up and time-out.
With active moon automatic, the maximum inten-
sity in percent (%) is reached at full moon. In the
days between new and full moon (completely off
or full on), certain maxima automatically set after
the dimming process.
6.13 Disable moonlight
If the moonlight is to be switched off throughout
the night, only the intensity of 0% must be set in
both active and inactive mode.
6.14 Simulation
By pressing the „Simulation“ version, the se-
lected lamp setting is carried out for 24 hours in
fast forward (about 30 seconds). The respecti-
ve mixed prole (all 7
channels together) is
displayed live graphi-
cally.
6.15 Presets
The „Presets“ contain preset optimal lighting si-
tuations for PLC, PLC/LPS and LPS.

9. claims for defects and compensation,
Disclaimer
9.1 Claims for defects and compensation
We are liable for ensuring that our delivered goods are
free of defects at the time of transfer of risk. However, insi-
gnicant deviations from the agreed quality or insignicant
impairments of usability are irrelevant. The owed quality,
durability and use of our delivered goods is based exclusi-
vely on the specication, product description and/or ope-
rating instructions agreed in writing.
Further information, in particular in preliminary discus-
sions, advertising and/or industrial standards referred to,
shall only become part of the contract if expressly agreed
in writing. Our warranted characteristics expressly ap-
ply. We cannot accept warranted or promised characteris-
tics expressed by third parties. The properties guaranteed
in this operating manual shall apply explicitly.
If the customer wishes to use the delivered goods for pur-
poses other than those agreed, he must carefully exami-
ne the suitability for this and/or the admissibility himself
at his own responsibility. We exclude liability for usability
not expressly conrmed by us in writing. In the event of
manipulation of the lamp itself, the controller, the individu-
al LED modules or the electronics, as well as the attempt
to change or inuence the electronics, the manufacturer‘s
warranty expires immediately.
Each user is responsible for the proper operation of his
Royal Exclusiv®LED lamp RE-Light. The operating in-
structions do not relieve you of the obligation to handle
safely during use, installation, operation and maintenance.
By using this manual, you acknowledge that under no cir-
cumstances can the manufacturer be held liable for any
damage to property and/or personal injury that may occur
as a result of use. This applies in particular to damage
that is to be expected from improper operation. Missing
or completely missing maintenance and cleaning intervals
and the resulting possible damage are not covered by
warranty claims.

9.2. Our liability for defects is generally limited to subse-
quent performance. Supplementary performance is, at
our discretion, remedy of defects or delivery of defect-free
goods. In the event of rejection, impossibility or failure of
supplementary performance, the customer has the right
to reduce or withdraw from the contract at his discretion.
Increased expenses for subsequent performance arising
from the fact that the customer has taken the purchased
item to a location other than the customer‘s branch after
delivery shall be borne by the customer.
The manufacturer expressly limits the warranty to the lamp
itself. Further damages, e.g. a loss of sh caused by lamp
failure or other consequential damages, are generally not
accepted. Each user is responsible for ensuring that re-
serve units are available in the event of a possible lamp
failure.
9.3. The customer must carefully inspect the delivered
goods immediately upon receipt – also for product safety –
and report obvious defects immediately in writing, hidden
defects immediately after discovery. The customer must
immediately report transport damage to the carrier within
24 hours. In the event of non-compliance with the obligati-
on to inspect and give notice of defects, claims for defects
are excluded.
9.4. Furthermore, we are not liable for consequences of
improper handling, use, maintenance and operation of the
delivered goods by the customer or his agents as well as
normal wear and tear. This applies in particular with regard
to consequences of thermal, chemical, electrochemical or
electrical inuences, as well as violations of our operating
instructions. The same applies if the defects are due to in-
terventions or orders of the customer not conrmed by us.
9.5. Our liability for gross negligence is limited to claims
for injury to life, limb and health, to claims under the Pro-
duct Liability Act as well as to claims arising from culpable
breach of essential contractual obligations which endan-
ger the purpose of the contract. In all other respects, our li-
ability for grossly negligent breach of essential contractual
obligations for the typically occurring damage foreseeable
by us at the time of conclusion of the contract is excluded.
Beschädigungen, die eindeutig auf unsachgemäße Be-
dieDamage that is clearly attributable to improper opera-
tion of the goods is the responsibility of the customer. In
the case of returns, the customer must ensure that the
goods are packed in a shatterproof manner. In the event of
damage caused by improper packaging, he shall be fully
liable.
9.6. Claims for defects against us shall become statute-
barred within one year after delivery of the goods to the
customer. The same applies to claims for damages re-
gardless of the legal grounds.
The limitation of the limitation period does not apply to
claims due to fraudulent concealment of a defect, to claims
under the Product Liability Act as well as to damages re-
sulting from injury to life, limb or health and to other dama-
ges based on intent or gross negligence.
9.7. If it turns out during our examination of a defect no-
tied by the customer or in the course of our rectication
work that the notice of defect was raised through gross
negligence without justication, we may demand approp-
riate remuneration for the inspection and/or repair work.
The customer has the right to refuse a necessary repair
and request the return of the lamp. In principle, the inspec-
tion of the defect is associated with a lump sum for costs if
it turns out that the customer himself is responsible for the
notied defect.
9.8. Spare parts
Our obligation to stock/supply spare parts is limited to a
period of 5 years after delivery. For spare parts, our res-
pective list prices apply.
9.9. Disposal
We offer our customers the opportunity to take back our
old appliances covered by the Electrical and Electronic
Equipment Act, which were placed on the market after 13
August 2005, free of charge within Germany and to take
over the recycling/disposal. If the customer does not have
the disposal carried out by us, he assumes at his own ex-
pense the obligation of disposal in accordance with the
statutory provisions and indemnies us from the obligation
according to § 10 Abs. 2 ElektroG (take-back obligation of
the manufacturer) and related claims of third parties.
9.10. Subject to change
The manufacturer has the right at any time to make hard-
ware and software changes to the products without prior
notice, provided that this improves the operational safety
and quality of the lamp. No claims can be made if, for ex-
ample, the design, functions or performance of the lamp
have changed fundamentally. It is guaranteed that the as-
sured properties of the lamp are always guaranteed.
