1 Login
1.1 Configuration EnvironmentRequirements
GoogleChrome,Internet Explorer 9.0, 10.0, and 11.0, and someChromium/InternetExplorerkernel-based
browsers (such as 360 Extreme Explorer) are supported. Exceptions such as garble or format error may
occur if an unsupported browseris used.
1.2 DefaultConfiguration

1.3 Loginto Ewebon a PC
1.3.1 Connecting to the Device
You can open the management page and complete the bridgeconfiguration onlyafter connecting a PC to the
bridge.You can connect a PC to the bridgein either of the followingways.
Wired Connection
Connecta local areanetwork(LAN) port of the bridge to the networkport of the PC, andset the IP address
of the PC. See Configuring theIP Address of the ManagementComputer.

Note
Only EST350v1 and EST350v2 have two LAN ports.
Wireless Connection
On a mobilephoneor laptop, search for wireless network @Ruijie-bXXXX. (XXXX is the last four digits of
the MAC address of each device, and the MAC address can be found at the rear side ofeach bridge.) In
this mode, you do not need to set the IP address of the management computer, and you can skip the
operationinConfiguringthe IP Address ofthe ManagementComputer.
1.3.2 Configuring the IP Address of the Management Computer
ConfigureanIP address forthemanagementcomputerinthesamenetworksegmentas thedefaultIP address
of the device (The default device IP address is 10.44.77.254, and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.) so that
the management computer can access the device. For example, set the IP address of the management
computerto 10.44.77.10.
Caution
The IP address ofthe managementcomputercannotbesetto 10.44.77.253,becausethis IPaddress is
reservedby the device. If the managementcomputerusesthis IPaddress,itcannot access thedevice.
1.3.3 Logging in to the Web Page
(1) Enter the IP address (10.44.77.254bydefault) of the bridge in the address bar of the browser to open the
loginpage.
Note
If the staticIP address ofthedevice is changed,or the device obtains anew dynamicIP address,the newIP
address canbeusedtoaccess thewebmanagementsystem ofthe device as longas the management
computerand the device are in the same networksegmentofa LAN.
(2) On the web page,enter the password andclick Login to enter the web managementsystem.

Username andpasswordarenotrequiredatyour first loginandyou can configurethe bridgedirectly.
For device security, you are advised to set the management password after your first login to the web
management system. After the password is set, you need to enter the password when you log in to the web
managementsystem again.
If you forget the IP address or password, hold down the Reset button on the device panel for more than 5
seconds whenthedeviceis connectedtothepowersupplyto restorefactory settings.Afterrestoration,you can
usethe defaultIP address and passwordto login.
Caution
Restoringfactorysettings willdeletethe existingconfiguration andyou are requiredtoconfigurethe device
again at your next login.Therefore,exercisecautionwhenperformingthis operation.
2 Wi-Fi Network Settings
2.1 Overview
2.1.1 NVR and Camera
Bridges purchased inpairs inthe same packagecanbe pairedautomaticallywith each other after power-
on. You can also manuallypair the devices by setting up a WDS network. See Setting WDS Wi-Fi for a
Single NVR or Camera. In a paired WDS group, bridges can work in access point (AP) or Customer
PremisesEquipment(CPE)mode.
NVR end (AP): A bridge sending bridgingsignals is generallyconnected to the NVR end in a surveillance
room.AWDS group can contain at mostone AP.
Camera end (CPE): A bridge that enables customers to access ISP’s communication services is generally
connectedto the cameraend.AWDS groupcancontainmultiple CPE.
2.1.2 WDS Wi-Fi and Management Wi-Fi
WDS Wi-Fi: An AP broadcasts theWDSWi-Fi signal.ACPEaccesses theWDSWi-Fi and uploadvideos or
other datato theAP.
Management Wi-Fi: Both anAP anda CPE can broadcastmanagementWi-Fisignal.You can use amobile
phoneor laptopto access themanagementWi-Fiandlogin to the web pageto configurebridges.
2.2 SwitchingNVR andCameraMode
If an NVR fails, replace it and switch the new device to NVR (AP). If multiple cameras (CPE) are required, a
device newlyjoining theWDS group needs tobe switchedtoCamera(CPE).
(1) You can check the current modein the upperrightcornerof the web pageandclick PairAgain to switchthe
mode.

(2) In the displayeddialogbox, click Start.
(3) ClickNext.
(4) Select a mode from the Work Mode drop-downlist.
Caution
Switchingthe modewill rebootthe device. Therefore,exercisecautionwhen performing this operation.

2.3 Configuringthe WDS Passwordfor All Bridges in the LAN
Choose Overview > WDS Password.
ClickWDS Password,enter the passwordinthe displayeddialog box,and click Save.
Hover the cursorover to view the helpinformation.
Caution
When configuringthe WDS passwordforthe entire network,ensure thatalldevices in the networkare online.
Otherwise,the WDS passwords ofthedevices willbe inconsistent.
Configuringthe WDS password forthe entire networkwillreconnectalldevices in the network. Therefore,
exercisecaution whenperforming this operation.
If there is anunbridgeddevice in the network, the WDS passwordcannotbe configured.
2.4 ConfiguringtheManagementSSIDand PasswordforAll Bridgesin
the LAN
Choose Overview > SSID.

Note
The managementWi-Finetworkis used onlyfor loginto the web pageanddevice management,and cannot
be usedforInternet access.It is isolatedfrom the service network.
The defaultdevice managementservicesetidentifier (SSID) is @Ruijie-bXXXX.(XXXX is the lastfour digits of
theMAC address ofeachdevice,andthedefaultmanagementSSID varies withdevice.) ClickSSIDonthe page
to setthe samemanagementSSIDand passwordforallbridges intheLAN.
Enable WiFi: Choose whethertoenablethe managementWi-Fifor all devices inthe network.
SSID: The SSID is the name of the managementWi-Finetwork.
Security: The following encryption types are available: Open, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, and WPA_WPA2-PSK.
You areadvisedto choose WPA_WPA2-PSK andset the passwordtoimprovethe security.
Hide SSID: When this function is enabled,mobile phonesorcomputers cannotfind the Wi-Fi name,and users
need to manually enter the correct name and password.This can prevent Wi-Fi from being accessed by
unauthorized users andcanenhancesecurity.

Caution
After the configurationis saved,NVRs and cameras inthenetworkwillbe reconnected.Therefore,exercise
cautionwhenperformingthis operation.
2.5 ConfiguringtheWDS PasswordforAll Bridges inthe WDS Group
Choose Overview > Change WDS Password.
The default WDS password of devices is the same. Changing the WDS password can prevent others from
illegallyaccessingtheusernetworkby usingadevice ofthe samemodel.
When configuringthe WDS passwordforbridges inthe entirenetwork is unavailableor unnecessary, you can
click Change WDS Password to configure the WDS password for bridges in the WDS group. If there is an
unbridgeddevice in the group, the Change WDS Passwordfunction willbe unavailable.

Caution
When configuringthe WDS password foraWDS group,ensurethatall devices inthe groupare online.
Otherwise,WDS passwords ofthedevices willbe inconsistent.
Configuring theWDS password fora WDS groupwillreconnectdevices inthe group. Therefore,exercise
cautionwhenperformingthis operation.
If there is anunbridged devicein the WDS group, this function willbe unavailable.
2.6 SettingWDS Wi-Fi for a SingleNVR or Camera
2.6.1 Setting the WDS SSID
To prevent network exceptions,you are advisedto keep the defaultWDS SSID unless otherwisespecified.
If a new WDS SSID is set for a device in a WDS group, other bridges inthe group needto change to the new
SSID as wellto connectwith this device.
When a new device is connected, you can either configure a new WDS SSID or click Scan to select a target
WDS SSID.
To check the WDS SSIDs of WDS groups, choose Overview > WDS Group Info. For details, see Displaying
WDS Group Information.
Caution
●Configuring aWDS SSID willdisconnecttheWDS link.Incorrect WDS SSID willcauseaWDS
connectionfailure.Therefore,exercisecautionwhenperforming this operation.

2.6.2 Configuring the WDS Password
AcorrectWDS passwordisrequiredfor asuccessful WDSlink.To preventunauthorizeddevicesfrom connecting
to the WDS Wi-Fi network, high-security passwords are used for devices by default, and the passwordfor
devices of the same model is the same. You are advised to change the passwordfor devices in the entire
networkor in a WDS groupto prevent others from accessingthenetworkusingadevice of the samemodel.
Caution
●WDS passwordscanbeconfiguredonlyfor cameras,andnotfor NVRs.
●Configuringa WDS passwordwilldisconnectthe WDS link.An incorrectWDS passwordwillcausea
WDS connectionfailure.Therefore, exercise caution when performing this operation.
2.6.3 Saving the Settings
After changingthe WDS SSID or password,click Save to activate settings atonce.

2.7 OptimizingWireless Network
2.7.1 Overview
The device detects thesurroundingwirelessenvironmentandselects the appropriateconfigurationuponpower-
on. However, network stalling caused by wireless environmentchanges cannot be avoided. You can also
analyze the wirelessenvironmentaround thebridgeandmanuallyselectappropriate parameters.
2.7.2 Getting Started
Before configuration,you can check the interferencein the currentenvironmentin the following wayto find the
optimalchannel.
Choose Wireless >WDS > Channel & Transmit Power.
Click Interference to check the interferenceof current channels.The channelwiththe smallestinterferenceis
the optimum.
2.7.3 Configuration Steps
1. Optimizingthe Radio Channel
(1) Channelsettings
Choose Wireless >WDS > Channel & Transmit Power > 5G Channel.
The defaultchannelis Auto, indicatingautomaticchanneladaptionbasedonthesurroundingenvironment
upon power-on. Choosethe optimal channel identified throughthe above analysis. Click Save to activate
settings immediately.Excess STAs connectedto a channelcan bringstronger wireless interference.

Thecameramode doesnotsupportindependentchannelsettings.After the channelattheNVR endis adjusted,
the cameraend automaticallychanges its channel to bethe sameas theNVR end.
Note
The availablechannelis relatedto the country/regioncode. Selectthe localcountry or region.
The above figureprovides guidanceon 5 GHz channel configuration.Takethe samestepsfor2.4 GHz
channelconfiguration.The single-radio (2.4GHz) device does not support5 GHz configuration.
Caution
After the channelis changed,theNVR will bereconnectedto the camera.Therefore,exercisecautionwhen
performingthis operation.

(2) One-clickoptimization
Choose Wireless >WDS > Optimize WDS.
Click Optimize WDS sothat the device automaticallyselects thechannelagainbasedonthe interference
in the current environment, ensuring that the device works in the optimal channel. You are advised to
optimizeWDS whenthe originalchannelis notthe optimum.
Caution
After you click Optimize WDS, the NVR willbe reconnectedto the camera.Therefore,exercise cautionwhen
performingthis operation.
2. Optimizingthe Channel Width
Choose Wireless >WDS > Channel & Transmit Power > Channel Width.
If the interference is severe, choose a lower channel width to avoid network stalling.A5 GHz bridge supports
channel widths of20 MHz, 40 MHz, and 80 MHz, while a 2.4 GHz bridge supports channel widths of 20 MHz
and40MHz. The networkis stable whenthe channelwidth is smaller.Alargerchannelwidthismoresusceptible
to interference.The default channel width of a 2.4 GHz bridge is 20 MHz (recommended configuration). The
default channel width of a 5 GHz bridge is 40 MHz (recommended configuration).After changing the channel
width, clickSave to activate settings immediately.
Caution
After the channel widthis changed,the NVR will be reconnectedtothe camera.Therefore, exercise caution
whenperformingthis operation.

3. Optimizingthe Transmit Power
Choose Wireless >WDS > Channel & Transmit Power > Transmit Power.
Greater transmit power indicates larger coverage and brings stronger interference to surrounding wireless
devices.The defaultvalueis Auto, indicatingautomaticadjustmentofthetransmitpower.Inascenarioin which
wireless devices areinstalleddensely,a lowerpoweris recommended. Low, Medium, and High indicate50%,
75%, and100%power, respectively.
4. Configuring the Distance
Choose Wireless >WDS > Channel & Transmit Power > Distance.
It is recommended that the configured distance between the NVR and camera be greater than their actual
distance. If the configured distance is much smaller than the actual distance, the wireless performance will
deteriorate,andWDS connection mayfail.

Note
EST310v1 and EST310v2 supports adistanceof1-3 km,whileEST350v1 and EST350v2 supporta distance
of 1-8 km.The defaultdistanceofEST310v1 andEST310v2 is 1 km, while thatof EST350v1 andEST350v2 is
6 km.
2.8 ChangingtheCountry/RegionCode
2.8.1 Getting Started
Country/regioncodechange takes effectonall devices inthe entirenetwork,thatis,allbridges onthe Overview
page.Therefore,beforechangingthe country/regioncode,confirmthatthetargetdevice is inthecurrentnetwork
andthe WDS linkworks well.
2.8.2 Configuration Steps
Choose Wireless >Country/Region > Country/Region.
Choose the target country/region from the drop-downlist,andclickSave.

Caution
After the country/regioncode is changed,the Wi-Fi networkwillrestart,andthe NVR andthe camerawill be
reconnectedafter the Wi-Fi network is restarted.
The current channelmaybe switchedto Auto becauseitis not supportedbythe country/region.Therefore,
exercisecaution whenperforming this operation.
2.9 Displaying WDSGroup Information
ChooseOverview > WDS GroupInfo.
DisplayedWDSgroupinformationincludesthenumberofAPs andCPEs inthe group,current workingchannel,
SSID, latency, interference, wireless bandwidth and quality, RSSI and quality, data rate, real-time traffic, and
uptime.Hover the cursorover to view the detailedinformation ofevery item.
Note
AP is at the NVR end, whileCPE is atthe cameraend.

2.10 Displaying theInformationAbouta SingleDevice
Choose Overview > WDS Group Info > NVR (AP)/Camera (CPE).
Clickthe iconof a device to displaythe basicinformationaboutthedevice inthe right panel ofthe page,
including the hostname, uptime, online status, model, SN, MAC address, software and hardware versions, IP
address,subnetmask,LAN port status,noise floor/utilization,distance,channel,transmitpower,channel width,
RSSI, andband.
