1 Product Overview
RG-N18000-E series switches are next-generation core switches developed by Ruijie Networks
independently. The switch adopts the Clos architecture and supports dual supervisor modules
and power supply redundancy.
The RG-N18010-E: supporting dual supervisor modules and providing eight service module
slots, four switch fabric module slots, four power supply module slots, and two fan module
slots;
The RG-N18014-E: supporting dual supervisor modules and providing 12 service module
slots, four switch fabric module slots, four power supply module slots, and two fan module
slots;

Note
The weight only includes that of the empty chassis and fans. The weight of the whole
device is subject to that of the modules selected.
In a domestic environment, this product may cause radio interference in which case the
user may be required to take adequate measures.
This device is not suitable for use in locations where children are likely to be present.
Risk of electric shock. The fuse is on the midline of the grid power supply. Cut off
the grid power supply to disconnect each phase of the conductor.
Product Appearance
The hardware system of the RG-N18010-E switch is composed of the chassis, the power system,
modules and the cooling system.
The power system provides four power supply slots and supports N+N power supply
redundancy. Users are recommended to configure redundancy for the power supplies.
The RG-N18010-E switch provides two supervisor module slots, eight service module slots
and four switch fabric module slots. The supervisor modules support 1+1 redundancy. You
are advised to configure redundancy for the supervisor modules. You may choose different
service modules as needed.
The heat dissipation system is composed of fan trays, which are at the back of the chassis.
