Safety Precautions
Read carefully this installation manual before
installation and check if the Wired Remote Controller is
installed correctly after installation.
 Do not attempt to install or repair this Wired Remote
Controller by yourself.
This Wired Remote Controller contains no user-serviceable
parts. Always consult authorized service personnel for
repairs.
When moving, consult authorized service personnel
for disconnection and installation of the Wired Remote
Controller.
Ensure that the wall is strong enough to support the weight
of the Wired Remote Controller.
Must install the Wired Remote Controller with rated power
supply.
The Wired Remote Controller must be installed according to
the national electrical rules by an installation specialist.
If you wish to uninstall the Wired Remote Controller, consult
an authorized installation center.
WARNING
CAUTION
 Do not use inflammable gases near the Wired Remote
Controller.
Do not install the Wired Remote Controller in a location
where it will come into contact with combustible gases,
machine oil, sulphide gas, etc.
Avoid locations where acid/alkali solution or special spray
is used.
Choose a location that is dry and sunny, but not exposed to
direct sunlight. Suitable temperature is between
0°C and 39°C.
 Do not spill water into the Wired Remote Controller.
Do not apply tensile strength to the cable to avoid cable
damage.
Do not press the buttons with a sharp object.
Do not connect the power cable to the control terminal.
If the Wired Remote Controller is installed in a hospital or
other special places, it should not affect other electronic
devices.
This installation manual describes how to install the Wired Remote Controller.
For installation of other optional accessories, refer to the appropriate installation manual.

Wired Remote Controller and Accessories
 The wired remote controller should be installed by a
trained installer.
 Make sure the main power is off before installing the
wired remote controller.
 The cables must be installed according to the national
wiring regulations and inside the wall for safety
reasons.
 Always separate the communication cable and the
power cable to avoid malfunction of the unit.
(Connecting the power cable to the communication
terminal of the wired remote controller will cause
serious damage to the wired remote controller.
Make sure the wires are connected to the appropriate
terminals.)

Installing the Wired Remote Controller
Installing the communication and power cables
  If the power cable for the wired remote controller is installed inside the indoor unit,
the power cable supplied with the wired remote controller need not to be installed.
  If the power cable for the wired remote controller is not installed inside the indoor unit,
connect the indoor unit PCB to the terminal block inside the indoor unit using
the power cable supplied with the wired remote controller.

1Open the wired remote controller by pushing up the top cover
of the remote controller while holding the rear cover firmly.
2Install the rear cover of the wired remote controller on the wall
with the screws supplied.
3Connect the red and blue wires from the wired remote
controller to the V1 and V2 terminal of the indoor unit.
(Use a separate wire if needed for distance.)
4 Connect the indoor unit housing with the wired remote controller
housing supplied with the wired remote controller and connect
to the yellow and orange cables from the wired remote controller
or connect the yellow and orange cables from the wired remote
controller to the wires from the F3 and F4 terminal of the indoor
unit depending on the indoor unit type.
5 Reassemble the wired remote controller.

Wired Remote Controller Error Codes
1The error codes of the indoor and outdoor units are displayed
on the wired remote controller. Refer to the indoor and
outdoor unit technical manuals for the error codes reference.

Service Mode
 The wired remote controller supports the following service modes.
Menu Description
1 Monitoring and setting the indoor unit option code
2 Monitoring and setting the indoor unit RMC address
3Monitoring the indoor unit cycle data
4Setting the indoor unit temperature sensor compensation
5Setting the RPM compensation
6Setting the EEV step when the indoor unit is off during
heating mode
7Setting the filter time
8Setting the heating capacity compensation
9Checking the indoor unit centralized control switch setting
10 Checking the indoor unit drain pump switch setting
11 Checking the indoor unit electric heater switch setting
12 Checking the indoor unit hot water heater switch setting
  If the option switch SW8 is set to ‘OFF’, the above service modes
can be only monitored. Set the option switch SW8 to ‘ON’ to set
the above service modes. In order to access the service mode,
hold down the ‘Hr.’ and ‘Min.’ buttons and the temperature down
button at the same time for 5 seconds.

Setting the Indoor Unit Option Code
In order to set the indoor unit option code using the wired
remote controller, hold down the and buttons and
the
button at the same time for 5 seconds.

The menu will display . Press the button to enter
the indoor unit option code mode.
Note ‘ ’ will be displayed if the indoor unit does
not support the function and the setup mode
cannot be entered.
2
Set the first 6 digits of the 12 or 24 digits of the option code
by pressing the
buttons and the button.
3Press the
button to set the second set of 6 digits.
If the option code is 24 digits, continue to set the third and
fourth set of 6 digits by pressing the
button.
4Once the option code is set, press the
button to transmit
the option code to the indoor unit.
5
Press the button to exit.
6Press the button anytime during setup to exit without
setting.

Setting the RMC Address
In order to set the RMC address of the indoor unit using the
wired remote controller, hold down the and buttons
and the
button at the same time for 5 seconds.

The menu will display .
Press the
button and the menu will display .
Press the button.

The main address of the indoor unit will be displayed on the
left and the RMC address of the indoor unit will flicker on the
right as shown.
3Press the buttons to set the RMC address and press
the
button.
4Press the button to exit.
5
Press the button anytime during setup to exit without
setting.
6Hold down the button to delete the RMC address set by
the wired remote controller and to restore the RMC address set
by the switch on the indoor unit PCB.

Monitoring the Indoor Unit Cycle Data
In order to monitor the indoor unit cycle data using the wired
remote controller, hold down the and buttons and
the
button at the same time for 5 seconds.

The menu will display .
Press the button twice and the menu will display .
Press the button.
Note ‘ ’ will be displayed if the indoor unit does
not support the function and the setup mode
cannot be entered.

4 digits will be displayed.
The first digit represents the menu and the remaining three
digits are used for data display. Select the menu using
the
buttons.

Temperature Sensor
In order to compensate for the temperature sensor of the wired
remote controller, hold down the and buttons and
the
button at the same time for 5 seconds.

not support the function and the setup mode
cannot be entered.

and press the button.
Note The compensation value range that can be set
is –9°C~9°C.

In order to compensate for the RPM using the wired remote

 RPM compensation can be set only for FAN
relay control models.

during heating mode using the wired remote controller, hold

In order to check the indoor unit option switch settings using the
wired remote controller, hold down the and buttons
and the button at the same time for 5 seconds.
