Instructions for disassembly - DOMEO 210 FL 3V EU
1. General notes
Instructions manual for disassembly and ecologically disposal of components of ventilation units according to
EU 1253/2014.
This manual includes the disassembly of the ventilation unit into material fractions and larger components.
2. Safety instructions
Attention!
• Observe the assembly instructions of the product and ensure compliance with all safety specifications.
• Cut off the electrical supply before any work begins.
3. Parts to be disassembled
The following parts should be disassembled:
• Counter-flow heat exchanger
• Unit body (large plastic part)
• Panels/covers
• Control equipment (wiring and electronic components)
• Supply fan
• Extract fan
• Supply motor
• Extract motor
• Air connections
• Filters
• By-pass motor
• Small metal pieces (supports and screws)
4. Procedure and tools needed for disassembly
The following tools are required for disassembly of the ventilation unit: Scissors, Nippers, Pliers, Phillips
screwdriver, allen screwdriver.
1. Remove filter cover (plastic) and filters by
hand. Filters should be put on general waste
bin.
2. Remove the 4 air connections by hand.

3. Remove the two bottom screws by a phillips
screw driver and remove the front cover
(plastic) by hand.
4. Pull from the heat exchanger and separate
it from the main body.
5. Remove the two fan covers. Disconnect the
motors from the main PCB and remove the
two fans by hand, pulling firmly from the main
body. The disassembly of motor-fans will be
detailed in next steps. Cut the wiring.
6. Disconnect the by-pass from the main PCB.

7. Disconnect the main supply wire and the
controller wire as well as the 2 temperature
sensors.
8. The main PCB (electronics) is fixed to the
main body by means of 4 screws. Use a
phillips screwdriver to remove the PCB.

9. Unscrew the two back screws by an allen
screw driven to be able to remove the wall
support.
10. The main PCB (electronics) is fixed to the
main body by means of 4 screws. Use a
phillips screwdriver to remove the PCB.

4.1. Disassembly of heat exchanger
Cut the heat exchanger’s grip using scissors and remove the metal supports by hand.
4.2. Disassembly of fan-motor
Use a phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two screws that join the scroll of the fan. Then, unscrew the three
screws that unite the scroll to the motor.
4.3. Disassembly of main body
Unscrew the last two screws remainint in the down face in order to remove the lasts metal pieces from the
main body. The main body is made entirely in plastic.
5. Disposal / recycling
Disposal must be carried out professionally and in an environmentally friendly way in accordance with the
respective national legal stipulations. Separate materials by type and, if necessary, commission a specialist
company with the waste disposal.
