Mainsoperation
1.Placeyourradioon aflatsurface.
2.Plug the mainslead intothe Socketlocated on the rearofyourradio
ensuring thatthe plug ispushed fullyintothe socket.
3.Plug the otherend ofthe mainslead intoawall socketand switchon
the wall socket.

Operating yourradio-DAB
1.Fullyextend the telescopicaerial.
2.Press the Standbybutton toswitchon yourradio.
3. If thisisthe firsttimethe radioisused aquick scan ofBand III DAB
channelswill be carried out. The displaywill show"Autotune Quick
scan".If the radiohasbeen used beforethe lastused station will be
selected.
4.During Autotune aseachgroup ofstationsisdetected the bottomline
ofthe displaywill showitsnameand the station countwill be
updated.The top line ofthe displayshowsabargraph indicating
progress ofthe Autotune.
5.When the Autotune iscompletethe firststation (innumeric-alpha
order0...9...A....Z)will be selected.
6. If the station listisstill emptyafterthe Autotune yourradiowill display
"NoSignal".
7. If no signalsarefound itmaybe necessarytorelocateyourradioto
aposition giving betterreception.

Selecting astation -DAB
1.The top line ofthe displayshowsthe nameofthe station currently
selected.
2.Rotatethe Tuning controltoscroll through the listofavailable
stations.Stop rotating the Tuning controlwhen you find the station
thatyou wishtohear.
3.Press and releasethe Tuning controltoselectthe station.The
displaymayshow"Tuning"whileyourradiofindsthe newstation.
4.Adjustthe Volume,Toneand Deepbass boostswitchtothe
required settings.
Note:If afterselecting astation the displaycontinuestoshow"Not
Available"itmaybe necessarytorelocateyourradiotoaposition
giving betterreception.

Yourradiohasfivedisplaymodes:-
1.Press the AdvancedINFOtocyclethrough the variousmodes.
Secondaryservices -DAB
1.Certainradiostationshaveone ormoresecondaryservices
associated withthem.If astation hasasecondaryserviceassociated
withitthe displaywill show">"nexttothe station nameon the station
list. The secondaryservicewill then appearimmediatelyafterthe
primaryserviceasyou rotatethe tuning controlclockwise.

Finding newstations-DAB
Astimepassesnewstationsmaybecomeavailable.Tofind newstations
proceed asfollows:-
1.Press and releasethe AutoTunebutton,the displaywill show
"Autotune Quick Scan".Yourradiowill performascan ofthe channel
10A~12Dfrequencies.Asnewstationsarefound the station counter
on the right-hand side ofthe displaywill increaseand stationswill be
added tothe list
2.Tocarryoutafull scan ofthe entireDAB Band III frequenciespress
and holddownthe AutoTunebutton formorethan 2secondsand
then release.The displaywill show"Autotune Full scan".Asnew
stationsarefound the station counteron the right-hand side ofthe
displaywill increaseand stationswill be added tothe list
Autoselect-DAB
Asan alternativetopressing the tuning controltoselectastation your
radiocan be setsoastoautomaticallyselectastation.
1.Rotatethe Tuning controlafewclicks ineitherdirection,immedi-
atelypress and holdinthe tuning controluntil the displayshows
"AutoselectON".
2.Rotatethe Tuning controluntil the station you requireisvisibleon
the display,afterafewsecondsyourradiowill automaticallyselect
the station shownon the display.
3.Toswitchoff Autoselectrotatethe Tuning controlafewclicks in
eitherdirection,immediatelypress and holdinthe Tuning control
until the displayshows"AutoselectOFF".

ManualTuning -DAB
Manualtuning allowsyou totune directlytothe variousDAB Band III
channels.
1.Press and holdinthe Tuning controluntil the displayshows"Manual
tune".
2.Rotatethe Tuning controltoselectthe required DAB channel.
3.Press and releasethe Tuning controltoselectthe channel.
4.Rotatethe Tuning controltoselectthe stationscontainedwithinthe
Multiplexforthe selected DAB channel.
5.Press and releasethe Tuning controltoreturntonormaltuning
mode.
Signalstrengthdisplay -DAB
1.Repeatedlypress and releasethe AdvancedINFOuntil the lower
line ofthe displayshowssignalstrength.
2.Position yourradioand anglethe telescopicaerialforbestreception
using the signalstrengthdisplayasaguide.Moveyourradioaround
and position soastogivemaximumnumberofblack rectangleson
signalstrengthdisplay.
3.The clearunfilled rectangleindicatesminimumsignallevelrequired
forsatisfactoryreception.

Operating yourradio-FM
1.Fullyextend the telescopicaerial.

show"DAB digitalradio"forafewseconds.
3.Press the Band button toselectthe FMband.
4.Press and immediatelyreleasethe AutoTunebutton,yourradio
will scan inan upwardsdirection (lowfrequency tohigh frequency)
and stop automaticallywhen itfindsastation ofsufficientstrength.
5.Afterafewsecondsthe displaywill updateand showstation name.
6.Tofind otherstationspress and releasethe AutoTunebutton as
before.
7.Toscanthe FMband inadownwardsdirection(high frequencytolow
frequency)press and holddownthe AutoTunebutton for0.5
secondsand then release.
8.When the waveband end isreached yourradiowill recommence
tuning fromthe oppositewaveband end.
9.Adjustthe Volume,Toneand Deepbass boostswitchtothe
required settings.
10.Toswitchoff yourradiopress the Standbybutton.

Telescopicaerial.

change instepsof50kHz.
4.When the waveband end isreached the radiowill recommence
tuning fromthe oppositewaveband end.
5.Setthe Volume,Toneand Deepbass boostswitchtothe desired
settings.
6.Toswitchoff yourradiopress the Standbybutton.

Display modes -FM
OnFMthe bottomline ofthe displaycan be settoanyofthe following
modes:-
1.Press the AdvancedINFOtocyclethrough the variousmodes.
a.Scrolling textDisplays scrolling textmessagessuch
asartist/track name,phone innumber
etc.
b.ProgramType Displays type ofstation being listened to
e.g.Pop,Classic,News,etc.
c.SignalstrengthDisplayssignalstrengthforstation being
listened to.
d.Timeand dateDisplays currenttimeand date.
e.Frequency Displays frequency ofthe station being
listened to.
f. Audiomode DisplayshowsAuto(stereo)ormono.
FMStereo/Mono
1. If astation being received isweaksomehiss maybe audible.To
reducethe hisspress and holdinthe Tuning controluntil the display
shows"Audiomode :mono"yourradiowill switchtomono mode.
2.Toreturntostereo mode press and holdinthe Tuning controluntil
the displayshows"Audiomode :Auto",yourradiowill switchto
stereo mode.
Note:FMstereo isonlyavailablewhen using earphone/headphones

Presetting stations-DAB and FM
Thereare5memorypresetsforeachofthe 2wavebands.
1.Press the Standbybutton switchon the radio.
2.Tune tothe required station aspreviouslydescribed.
3.Press and holddownthe required Presetbutton until the display
showse.g."Preset1stored".The station will be stored underthe
chosen presetbutton.Repeatthisprocedureforthe remaining
presets.
4.Stationsstored inpresetmemoriesmaybe overwritten byfollowing
the aboveprocedure.
Recalling apresetstation -DAB and FM
1.Press the Standbybutton toswitchon the radio.
2.Selectthe required waveband bypressing the Band button.
3.Momentarilypress the required Presetbutton,yourradiowill tune
tothe station stored inpresetmemory.

Setting thealarm
When the radioison/standby,repeatedlypress and releasethe
Advanced INFObutton until the lowerline ofhe displayshowsalarm
status.Press Tuning Controlbutton toselectAlarmStatuson/off.
During AlarmStatusinONstatus,displaywill autoswitchtoalarm
timesetting.The minutewill starttoflash,rotarythe tuning control
knob toselectrequired minutethen press and releasethe tuning
button again,the hourwill starttoflash,rotarythe tuning controlknob
toselectrequired hour,then press and releasethe tuning button
againtofinalizealarmtimesetting.Displaywill showAlarmStatus
ONaftercompleting the alarmsettings.
Selectalarmbyradioorbeep
During AlarmStatusON,rotarythe tuning controlbutton toselect
Alarmtype (RadioorBeep)pressing and releasing the tuning control
button tochange alarmtype.
Stop thealarm
When alarmisactive,press the Standbybutton tostop the alarm
(radioand buzzer).
Snooze
Tointerruptthe alarmsignal(radioorbeep),press Tuning Control
button.The alarmstopsand beginsagainwithintervalof5minutes.
The alarmwill continue foran hour(radio,30 minutesforBeep)ifnot
being interrupted.Displaywill showduring Snoozestatus.
Canceling thealarm
Sameproceduresofsetting the alarm,press and releaseTuning
Controlbutton toswitchthe alarmoff.
Systemreset
If yourradiofailstooperatecorrectly,orsomedigitson the display
aremissing orincomplete,carryoutthe following procedures.
1.Switchon yourradio.
2.Continuouslypress Advanced INFObutton until displaylower
partshows“Customer.....“,press and releaseAdvanced INFO
button until displaylowerpartshowsSystemReset.
Press and releaseTuning Controlknob,the radiowill be reset
and quick scan 10A-12Dforservicesand stop atthe first
servicefound.The RESETwill clearall the previousmemory
presetsand settings.

1.A3.5mm HeadphoneSocketlocated on the rearofyourradiois
provided forusewitheitherheadphonesoran earpiece.Inserting a
plug automaticallymutesthe internalloudspeaker.
2.Adigitalopticaloutputsocketisprovided on the rearofyou radiofor
connection toaan amplifier,mini-disc orotherequipmentwitha
digitalopticalinput.
Display backlight
The displaycan be switched on and off withbrightness controlin8
stepsbyrepeatedlypressing the LIGHTbutton .
