1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1. General description
The SCANCLIMBER Snake platform is a versatile
addition to the SCANCLIMBER product range. It
is a hinged platform system which can be used
with Scanclimber SC5000 PG111640, SC5000
PG127033, SC6000 and SC8000 mast climbing
work platforms.
The Snake platform consists of platform sec-
tions and a root adapter. The sections are avail-

able in two lengths: 1,5 m and 0,6 m. The Snake
platform sections can be adjusted in dierent
angles (+-45 deg) steplessly and safely at any
height to follow the structures and shapes of
the building. The adjustment can be made easily
with a simple ratchet or a screw gun. The Snake
is suitable for working on round, curved, cone-
shaped and other varying wall surfaces.

Advantages:

prole steplessly whilst in the air and in com-
plete safety
• Platform sections can be rotated within +-45
degrees in relation to its neighbouring sec-
tion
• L and T adapters allow internal and external
circular facades to be accessed from a single
mast

tural features with ease and provide access
to all areas
• Minimal ground area required for set up al-
lows access in the most congested industri-
al environments
• Low-weight components do not require
special transport or craneage
• Robust design, materials and manufacture
allows freedom of use in hostile environ-
ments
• Rapid erection and dismantling reduce over-
all production downtime massively

1.3 Warranty terms
The seller warrants that a new SCANCLIMBER mast climbing work platform is supplied free
from defects in material and workmanship.
The warranty is valid for six (6) months from the date of delivery.
The warranty of the equipment and parts manufactured by subcontractors is limited to the
warranty of their respective manufactures.
The warranty does not cover:
1. damage or loss caused by transportation
2. damage or loss caused by misconduct, misapplication or accident
3. damage or loss caused by negligence of instructions, service, maintenance or storage
4. normal deterioration of the equipment and damage resulting from wearing parts: and,
material like rubber tyres, electrical equipment etc.
5. damage or loss caused by maintenance or repairs performed by a non-authorized
service personnel
6. damage or loss caused by purchaser´s acts or omissions causing alternations to the
quality or structure of mast climber
7. any such indirect damage or loss as loss of prot and downtime cost etc.
No claim will be accepted if non-original parts, not approved by the seller, have been used.
Warranty claims should be done in writing describing the damage as completely as possible
and sent to the address below within fourteen (14) days from the date of disclosure of the
damage.

The warranty liability is limited, at the sellers discretion to
1. replacing the damaged part or
2. repairing the damaged part by the seller or by a subcontractor or
3. granting a price reduction
The warranty of replaced or repaired part expires at the expiration time of the warranty of the
mast climber.
The purchaser is obliged to send the damaged part to the seller for inspection by a request.
Replaced or refunded parts become the property of the seller.

2. Safety regulations and loading tables
1. Safety rules must be strictly observed.
2. Dangerous places around the platform must
be marked with well visible warning signs.
The access of unauthorized persons to these
premises should be prevented by means of
proper enclosures, railings or fences.
3. Inspections and maintenance must be car-
ried out according to the instructions.
4. Any modications or applications done to
the machine without a written approval
from the manufacturer are not allowed.
1. All persons employed at supervision, op-
eration, assembly and disassembly, main-
tenance and repairs of the platform and all
persons using the platform are obliged to
strict observance of local work and safety
rules, laws and regulations.
2. Only the authorized persons like the op-
erators and maintenance technicians are al-
lowed to use the machine.
3. It is forbidden to overload the platform dur-
ing operation. Unprofessional use of the ma-
chine is also forbidden.
4. It is forbidden to carry out assembly or dis-
assembly works in strong wind. (Wind speed
exceeding 12,7 m/s.)
5. The railings must be tted around the plat-
form when working with the platform.
6. If a storm arises, stop working immediately
drive the platform down, switch o the elec-
tricity and disconnect the power supply ca-
ble.
7. It is forbidden to let the persons who are not
in good physical or mental condition to op-
erate or work with a platform.
8. It is forbidden to let any unauthorized per-
sons to come to the premises of the machine
during its assembly or operation.
9. There must not be any obstacles in the oper-
ation area of the platform.
10. Check that there is no material sticking out
from the platform. The movements of rolling
and moving equipment or machinery must
be prevented.
11. The platform must be stationed at the lowest
position when entering, loading or leaving it.
12. It is forbidden to carry out any other works
on the platform while assembling, disassem-
bling or adjusting the Snake platform.
13. It is forbidden to adjust the Snake platform
section when they are loaded.

assembly, operation and maintenance of

the platform must be in good health and
must full the requirements for working at
heights.
15. All persons using the platform and the other
persons being within the reach of the plat-
form area must obey the safety instructions.
16. The use of the platform out of its normal
technical performance is not allowed.
17. It is strictly prohibited to use damaged ele-
ments and parts while assembling the plat-
form. Do not use damaged lifting mecha-
nism.
18. All the elements and parts must be handled
correctly and carefully during assembly- or
disassembly works of the platform.
19. It is forbidden to walk and stand under the
raised platform.
20. Access under the raised platform is permit-
ted for service or repair personnel only. Dur-
ing those actions the platform has to be sup-
ported and the main power disconnected.
21. When working near the high voltage lines,
the authorities of the local electricity works
have to be contacted.
22. The minimum distance to power lines must
be maintained
23. The minimum safety distance will be meas-
ured from:
a) the part of the machine, which is nearest the
voltage conducting part.
b) a person holding a tool, which is nearest to
the voltage conducting part.
24. When leaving the worksite, unplug the pow-
er cable.
☞NOTE! Always before opening the
electric box of the chassis, plat-
form or twin platform, the main
power has to be switched o with
the main switch Q1 or it has to be
otherwise carefully secured that
the energized parts will not be
touched.
25. The keys for electric boxes should be in the
possession of the operator only.
