1. SAFETY
WARNING! Ensure all Health and Safety, local authority, and general workshop practice regulations are strictly adhered to when using
tools.
8DO NOT use tools if damaged or worn.
9Maintain the tools in good and clean condition for best and safest performance.
9Ensure all threads are clean and well lubricated.
9Ensure vehicle is adequately supported with axle stands, ramps, etc. as appropriate.
9Wear suitable clothing to avoid snagging. Do not wear jewellery. Tie back long hair.
9Wear approved eye protection. A full range of personal safety equipment is available from your Sealey dealer.
9Account for all tools and parts being used and do not leave them in or on the vehicle.

2. i INTRODUCTION
Suitable for the installation and removal of front hub bearings without the need to dismantle the steering knuckle and strut assembly. Fast and
simple to use. Suitable for most front wheel drive cars. Heavy-duty steel drifts with black phosphate finish for corrosion resistance. May be used with
impact wrench.

BEARING REMOVAL: Fig2.B
Identify the correct sleeve (6) to sit on the outside of the bearing housing and the correct drift (3) to drive the bearing from the housing. Assemble
as shown in g.2B using the correct sleeve cap (7). Keep the hub screw and nut well lubricated whilst driving out the bearing.
BEARING INSTALLATION: Fig2.C
Identify the correct sleeve cap (7) to sit on the outside of the bearing housing and the correct diameter drift (3) to drive the new bearing into the
housing. Assemble as shown in g.2C. Keep the hub screw and nut well lubricated whilst driving the new bearing into the housing.
5. i MAINTENANCE
5.1. Keep screw (g.2 - item 8) well lubricated.
5.2. Clean component parts after use and replace in correct location within storage case.
5.3. Store in a clean, dry environment.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to
a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely
unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids
according to local regulations.
