SL-15 1–2NM+ Solar Marine Lantern

Quickstart!
1. Remove the SL-15 Lantern from the packaging.
2. Check if Lantern is switched ON (Using steps below)
3. The SL-15 is set to a Flash Code of
Code Table)
4. If the SL-15 lantern is preset to the ON position it is currently in Sleep Mode.To activate, expose the
lantern to 30 seconds of sunlight.
5. To check lantern is working, cover the lantern in darkness for at least 30 seconds.
6. If you wish to alter the Flash Code please follow the steps below (Adjusting the Flash Code),
otherwise proceed to install your lantern.
7. Position the lantern in your desired location and secure, utilising the 4 x holes in the ange. Ensure
the lantern is bolted to an even, at surface.
Turning Lantern ON and Adjusting the Flash Code
1. Remove the 4 x battery cover screws and lift the cover and battery out of the compartment to
expose the adjustment plug.
2. Unscrew the adjustment plug.
3. Ensure internal lantern switch is set in the ON position.
4. Using a small at bladed screwdriver adjust the Flash Code to the desired setting. (Refer to Flash
Code Table)
5. Cover the lantern, in darkness, for at least 30 seconds to activate the lantern sensor. Make sure the
lantern is ashing correctly.
6. Uncover the lantern and wait at least 30 seconds to make sure the lantern turns off in daylight.
7. Insert the adjustment plug and replace the battery.
8. Replace the cover and secure using the 4 x screws. Do Not over tighten screws.
Charging the Battery
New lanterns should be left in the sun for 1-2 days to ensure battery is charged before placing in
service. Please note, lantern will re-charge even when switch is turned to ‘OFF’ position.
Preferred Installation Location
For best lantern performance, ensure solar modules are not covered and are in clear view of the
sky with no shadows.
