Introduction
Thank you for choosing Senal.
Senal’s MX-series Professional Boundary Microphones are sleek, low-profile microphones
that are designed with optimized frequency response and sensitivity for capturing voices.
Both omnidirectional and cardioid models are perfect for video conferences, lectures,
and meetings.
The MX-series microphones integrate into most AV conferencing systems or sound
systems. Balanced output minimizes unwanted RF interference and noise, even over
long cable runs, and a high-pass filter minimizes room noise and low-end rumble.
The microphones’ low-profile design offers an inconspicuous appearance and an
unobstructed view. Rugged metal housing protects the mic capsule, and the nonskid
padding keeps the microphone stable on a tabletop or lectern.

Setting Up
To set up your room with omnidirectional or cardioid MX
microphones, refer to the illustrations below.
Cardioid Polar Pattern
The MXBM-621/C rejects off-axis noise. Use it in rooms with
inadequate acoustic treatment or in spaces where background
noise is problematic. The MXBM-621/C will capture the voice of the
person sitting directly in front of it while it minimizes room noise
and reverberation.
Omnidirectional Polar Pattern
The MXBM-621/O microphone picks up sound in a 360-degree
pattern. Use it in quiet rooms with adequate acoustic treatment.
Microphones set in the center of the table will pick up all
participants seated around it.

Ideal in an auditorium or house of
worship where a voice needs to be
amplified for an audience.
Note: MX-series microphones
need phantom power in order to
operate.

Powering the MX Microphone
The MX-series microphones operate on phantom power. Once connected to the power
source, the MX Boundary Mic is ready to work.
Important! When integrating the MX Moundary Mic into a video or audio conferencing
system, or using it with a mixing board, make sure that phantom power is enabled.
High-Pass Filter
Activate the high-pass filter when using the microphone in rooms with inadequate
acoustic treatment or constant noise from air conditioning, fans, or lights.
To filter out low frequencies, use the tip of a pen or a similar pointed object to switch the
high-pass filter to the on position.
Muting
MX-series microphones are equipped with CapSense® mute buttons. To mute the
microphone while in use, gently tap the mute button. The indicator LED will turn off to
show that the microphone has been muted.
Touch the mute button again to resume operation.

Problem Solution
The microphone
is connected, but
there’s no sound.
• Make sure that both XLR connectors on the cable are fully inserted into the
plugs on the microphone and input device (conferencing system or
mixing board).
• Make sure you are connected to an XLR port with phantom power, and that
the phantom power is turned on.
• If the indicator LED is off, touch the mute button to unmute
the microphone.
• Refer to the user manual of your AV conferencing system to ensure that the
input settings are correct.
