Installation and Operating
Instructions

Safety Information:
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
When using any electrical appliance, safety precautions should always
be observed. Read these instructions carefully, and retain for future
reference.
When used by, or near, young children or infirm persons, supervision is necessary -
young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Use this appliance only with the voltage specified on rating label.
Do NOT use this appliance other than for its intended use.
Do NOT touch hot surfaces or moving parts.
Do NOT cover the grilles or place any object or material up against
the unit, as this may block entry or exhaust of air.
Do NOT probe any opening.
To ensure trouble free performance it is recommended that on a regular basis the unit be
isolated from the power supply and a vacuum cleaner used to remove dust from the inlet
and outlet grilles.
Caution:
When the heater is operated ensure the heater is not obstructed in
any way. Ensure the heater can operate safely, should the heater switch on
when the ambient temperature drops, or a timer activates the heater.
Do NOT allow the supply cord to come into contact with heated
surfaces during operation.
Regulations require that electrical work be carried out by authorised
persons. For your own safety and that of others, ensure this is done.
If the supply cord becomes damaged, it must be replaced by a
qualified person, in order to avoid a hazard

Installation
This appliance MUST be installed in accordance with
relevant wiring rules and regulations which cover
installation of appliances and accessories in damp
situations, such as bathrooms, showers, laundries
and other areas with fixed water containers (in
Australia and New Zealand - AS/NZS 3000:2000
Wiring Rules).
Distances
The heater must be mounted a minimum distance of:
•1800mm from floor level
•200mm below the ceiling
•250mm from adjacent walls
•500MM from any object fitted on the wall below
the heater
Important: The heater must NOT be located immediately
below a socket outlet or within reach of a bath or shower.
To attach the heater to the wall:
1. Remove the wall mounting base from the heater by using a screwdriver (large flat blade) to release both
of the side clips from inside the base.
2. Secure the mounting base to the wall using the four fixing screw holes provided. The base supplied with
the heater must be used when attaching the heater to the wall.
3. Put the heater onto the mounting base and snap it into position.
4. Connect the flexible cord to the mains power supply. A suitable disconnect device is required to be
incorporated in the fixed supply wiring.

Operation
The operation of the heater is controlled by use of the pull-cord switch or directly wired to a wall switch.
To operate with the pull cord, pull the cord to switch the heater ON. Pull the pull-cord again to switch the
heater OFF.
The heater can also be directly wired to a wall switch and the pull cord discarded.
The blue LED indicator lights when the heater is operating.
To minimize power usage the heat output is regulated by an internal step-down thermostat, which will
automatically reduce the output from 2200-2400 Watts to 1100-1200 Watts, when a comfortable room
temperature is reached.
If the room temperature drops the full power will automatically cut back in.
United Kingdom and European Union only:
This model S2069 is fitted with a 30 minute count-back timer to minimise energy usage
by automatically turning off the heater OFF after 30 minutes use. Just pulling the cord or
flicking the wall switch twice reactivates the heater and it can be turned OFF or ON at
any time as needed.
Care
The heater requires regular cleaning to ensure trouble free operation.
•Isolate the heater from the mains power supply.
•Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior of the heater. Do not use any abrasive cleaners.
•The S2069 is fitted with our “Airslip” metal fan blade that alleviates any dust build up inside the
heater.
•Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and fluff visible on the heater inlet and outlet grilles.
•Ensure the heater is dry before turning heater back on.
