Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the SHOPRIDER®(GREENRIDER®) High Performance Electric
Moped / Bicycle (hereinafter referred as the Unit, which may be regarded as “e-Moped”, or
classified as “e-Bike”, depending on different country’s regulation.) designed and
manufactured by PIHSIANG MACHINERY MFG. CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred as
“PMMC”).
This user manual contains important information concerning the operation and the safe use
of the unit. Please read this manual carefully and thoroughly before operating this model
and make sure that you fully understand the guidelines and instructions given. For your
personal safety reason, please have certified helmet while in using the unit. If you have any
questions regarding spare parts, maintenance or any other concerns, please contact your
authorized dealer for assistance.

Remark: The pedals are one of useful accessories to assist your riding much easier when
you’re running out of the battery charge or riding on a hill, which will help you keep

Instructions to set up your e-Moped / e-Bike before using
Remove the keys from handle bar by
detaching cable tie.
Note: Reserve one of two keys with the
plate imprinted with the key No. at
a safety place for just in case of
missing or when spare key is needed.
Use the key to unlock the saddle
cushion from the battery pack
housing as shown.
Peel off the protective wrap from the outside of battery box and then connect power
plug onto the power socket of battery pack before using the e-Moped / e-Bike.
Note: The C-LiFePO4Battery Pack must be fully charged daily
after use and before use of your e-Moped / e-Bike at the first time.
The charging method can be referred to page 14.

EMI Warning
ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE (EMI) FROM RADIO WAVE SOURCES
Your unit may be susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI), which is a kind
of interfering electromagnetic energy (EMI) emitted from sources such as radio stations,
TV stations, amateur radio (HAM) transmitters, two-way radio, and cellular phones. The
interference (from radio wave sources) may cause your unit to release its brakes, move by
itself, or move in unintended directions. It may also permanently damage the unit control
system.
The sources of radiated EMI can be broadly classified into three types:
1. Hand-held portable transceivers (transmitters-receivers) with the antenna
mounted directly on the transmitting units, that include: citizens band (CB) radios,
“walkie talkie”, security, fire and police transceivers, cellular telephones, and
other personal communication devices.
NOTE! Some cellular telephones and similar devices transmit signals while they
are ON, even when not being used.
2. Medium-range mobile transceivers, such as those used in police cars, fire trucks,
ambulances, and taxis. These sources usually have the antenna mounted on the
outside of the vehicles.
3. Long-range transmitters and transceivers, such as commercial broadcast
transmitters (radio and TV broadcast antenna towers) and amateur (HAM) radios.
NOTE! Other types of hand-held devices, cordless phones, laptop computers,
AM/FM radios, TV sets, CD players, and cassette players, and small appliances,
such as electric shavers and hair dryers, so far as we know, are not likely to cause
problems to the unit.

EMI Warning
e-Moped / e-Bike Controller INTERFERENCE (EMI)
Because EM rapidly becomes more intense as one move closer to the transmitting
antenna (source), the EM fields from hand-held radio sources (transceivers) are of
special concern. It is possible to unintentionally bring high levels of EM energy very close
to the unit‘s control system while using these devices. This can affect unit movement.
Therefore, the warnings listed below are recommended to prevent possible interference
with the control system of the unit.
WARNINGS
1. Do not operate hand-held transceivers (transmitters-receivers), such as citizens band (CB)
radios, or turn ON personal communication devices, such as cellular phones, while the
unit is turned ON.
2. Be aware of the nearby transmitters, such as radio or TV stations, and try to avoid coming
close to them.
3. If unintended movement or brake release occurs, turn the unit OFF as soon as it is
safe.
4. Be aware that adding accessories or components, or even modifying the unit, may make it
more susceptible to EMI.
NOTE! There is no easy way to evaluate the overall immunity of the unit.
5. Report all incidents of unintended movement to your unit provider, and note whether there
are sources of EMI nearby.

Safety Warnings
1. Do not operate your unit before reading this user manual thoroughly.
2. This unit is designed to carry one rider under any circumstances, should not exceed the
maximum weight capacity limit as described in this manual.
3. Always follow local traffic rules while riding your unit.
4. It is a proven fact: Helmets significantly reduce the number and severity of head injuries.
Always wear helmets, eye protection, sturdy boots, gloves, and other protective gears
when riding your unit.
5. Remove the key when leaving your unit to avoid from burglaring and electric draining
out.
6. Do not ride unit on the road that has water with the depth greater than 1/3 of the tire’s
dimension.
7. Your e-Moped is not recommended for competition, stunt and any aggressive or off-road
riding. Refer to your warranty terms and conditions for details.
8. For safe riding, it is important to inspect your unit before every ride, and perform
recommended maintenance in a timely manner.
9. Check the tire pressure of front and rear wheels to ensure it is around 35~40PSI (or
2.5bar) before riding.
10. Make sure that the battery pack has been fully charged before first use, and remove
the charger after fully charged. Turn the main switch off while charging or not using.
11. Check that all electrical connections and mechanical parts are securely locked and
fastened before using your unit.
12. Do not disassemble the battery pack and do not modify the unit or your warranty will be
void and you will be responsible for the modification.
13. The performance and mileage of the unit will vary with the battery conditions,
temperature, terrain, wind speed, tire pressure, rider weight and the maintenance, etc.

User Guidance
Function of Main Switch
Steps to lock the handlebar and steering
1. Turn the handlebar fully to the left.
2. Keep depressing the key to switch from “Off” to “Lock” position and swift the handle bar
a bit to feel and check if the lock has engaged and the handle bar has been locked when
the key is released without depressing.
3. Remove the key to be kept in place where is manageable in safe.
Note: It is highly recommended to separate the 2 identical keys in the different safe place to
avoid from missing both. The key number imprinted on the key has to be reported for
a replacement if the 2 keys are all missing.
”On” Position: Insert the key to switch on the power from “Lock”
or “Off” to “On” position. The key can not be
removed when the key stays at “On” position.
Note: Do not need to depress the key while in switching on.
”Off” Position: You may switch off the power from “On” to “Off”
position or keep depressing the key to switch from
“Lock” to “Off” position to release the handlebar
and steering lock. The key can be removed at
“Off” position.
“Lock” Position: The handlebar and steering can be locked after kept
depressing the key to switch from “Off” to “Lock”
position. The key can be removed at the “Lock”
position.

NOTE:
1. Always switch off the power or lock the steering and then remove the key when you get
off the unit as the batteries may be drained out itself and the motor may be activated by
the throttle handle twisted unexpectedly by surrounding people such as children.
2. Lock the steering and remove the key after parking would help avoid theft.

Handlebar Switches
1. Throttle Handle
Twist the throttle handle to accelerate the riding to the
desired speed and release it to slow down.
2. Lights Switch
The Lights Switch can be pushed leftward or rightward at the
positions to perform the function as below.
: All lights off.
: LCD Panel’s Backlight and Taillight on.
: Headlight on.
3. Horn Lever The horn will beep when the Red Horn Lever is pressing.
4. Turning Light Switch and
Off-Button
To use the turning light before making a turn or change
traffic lane by pushing the switch to signal a right turn
or pushing the switch to signal a left turn. When you
push the center release button, the turning light will go off
automatically.
5. High / Low Beam Switch
When lights switch (item No. 2) is pushed to be at the “ON”
position, the headlight high beam or low beam will be on.
Press the High / Low Beam button to switch the high or low
beam that is required while riding.

Dismount the Battery Pack
1. Switch off the main switch.
2. Unlock the saddle pad by the main switch key at the key switch of saddle.
3. Unplug the power cable and then pull up and hold the handle of battery pack to pull out
the battery pack from the mount/rail of the battery pack.
Mount the Battery Pack
1. Unlock the saddle pad.
2. Hold the handle of battery pack to slide into the mount/rail of battery pack.
3. Fold the handle of battery pack in place and then plug in the power cable onto the power
socket of battery pack.
Caution
1. All charging will be completed within 4 hours depending on the remaining charge of the
battery to be charged with the specified standard charger (3A). Do not charge the
batteries for longer than 24 hours.
2. Do not disassemble the battery pack or the warranty will be void.
3. Do not connect the terminals inside the power socket of battery pack with any foreign
objects that may cause a damage to the battery pack in short circuit or an injury to
people.
4. Use the specified standard charger (3A) only for PHET World Pat. C-LiFePO4
(C-Coated Lithium Iron Phosphate Based) Battery (48V) supplied by PMMC.
5. Do not expose the battery pack to the fire, rain, water or humidity. Do not use the battery
pack in other applications than the ES-16 unit or the warranty will be void.

Note: The input voltage of the charger has to be set to the voltage rating met with your
power source inlet.
Operating Instruction
Must charge battery when the battery voltage reading on the LCD is below than 49V. The
battery charge indication will be shown with the battery charge level when the charger is
connected to the battery pack or the charging port. When the 100% battery charge
indication LED is ON, it shows the battery pack is fully charged.
1. Ensure the input voltage to the charger from the power source inlet is between
100V~240V and ensure input voltage rating of the charger is switched at the setting met
with your power source inlet.
2. Ensure the battery pack to be charged is a PHET World Pat. C-LiFePO4(C-Coated
Lithium Iron Phosphate Based) Battery (48V 9.6Ah) supplied by PMMC.
3. Make sure the power cord, battery cable, and battery terminals are in good condition.
4. Make sure the specified standard charger (3A) to charge the battery pack are all
supplied by PMMC.
5. Ensure the battery pack is charged under the environmental condition within the
temperature (0~40℃) and the humidity (20%~85%).

Steps to Charge the Battery Pack
Option 1: Standard Battery-On-Board
Charging
1. Must switch off the main power switch
before charging.
2. Ensure the battery pack placed onto the
mount/rail inside the saddle housing box
and plugged with battery power cable.
3. The charging port located underneath
the saddle housing must be plugged with
the DC power cable connected with the
charger at the DC side and then plug the
AC power cord connected with the
charger at the AC side to a power source
inlet, as shown.
Option 2: Standard Battery-Off-Board

1. Refer to the preceding instruction for
Dismounting the Battery Pack.
2. The power socket of battery box must be
plugged with the DC power cable
connected with the charger at the DC
side and then plug the AC power cord

Caution
1. Do not expose the charger to the rain, water or heavy humidity. Do not use the battery
charger near flammable articles or in unventilated places.
2. For your safety, do not short circuits on the output plug of the charger when powered on,
or it may cause unexpected danger or damage.
3. Always use the standard specified battery charger and power cord supplied by PMMC.
4. Before plugging the power cord of the charger into power source, please ensure that the
input voltage setting of the charger is switched to the rating met with your power source
inlet.
5. Must charge the battery pack daily after use.
6. If your unit will not be used or will be stored for a period of time, unplug the battery
power cable to eliminate the battery charge from a nature current drain.
7. To remain the battery charge with 50% of full capacity of battery pack if not be used for a
long time, will last for the life expectancy of the battery pack.
The manufacturer will not be responsible for any damage or injury due to improper or
unsafe use of the battery charger.
Trouble Shooting
1. If the battery charging indication LED keeps staying at the “30%” level all the time while
charging:
•Check if the power connections are in good condition. If the LED indication is still
observed at 30% all the time while charging, the battery charger may be
malfunctioned.
•Consult your local authorized dealer for assistance.
2. The charging continues for a long duration (over 8 hours, irregularly) and the LED
indication still fails reaching to the 100% full charge:
Stop charging immediately and check if the battery pack is faulty or aged, then consult
your local authorized dealer for assistance.
3. The battery overheats:
Check if your battery pack and its standard specified charger are connected with all the
cables properly. Stop charging immediately and then consult your authorized dealer for
assistance if the battery pack still remains overheating.

High Performance Brushless Motor Characteristics
•Your unit is equipped with a rear drive wheel installed with a tubeless tire and aluminum
rim hub embedded with a high performance brushless motor (48V 500W) that offers you
a comfortable ride with a high efficiency, low noise and long riding range, etc.
•It is highly recommended that the periodic maintenance for your unit has to be carried out
at the site of your authorized dealer every 6 months.
•If a riding remained on a steep hill with a heavy load, the motor and controller of your unit
may suffer from a state of a faster worn out. Please avoid from this overload riding being
applied that will shorten the lifespan of your unit.
•Do not ride your unit in the flooding area if one third (1/3) of the wheels is dipped in the
water, which may cause an unrecoverable malfunction to the motor.
Control System Characteristics
The control system consists of the main controller, LCD panel, throttle handle and brake
lever with the power-off feature. The major functions are for the riding speed adjustment,
electric power off when braked, the activation of the lamps and the horn, low and over
voltage protection, etc.

Front and Rear Brake Adjustment
To use your fingers to twist the adjusting nut for
a proper adjustment of the brake performance
and check if it’s suitable for the safe braking.
The braking shoes are consumable items and
have to be checked if the worn out area is
greater than one third (1/3) of its original new
one, then the braking shoes must be replaced
immediately by your authorized dealer.

than with a lighter rider.

Maintenance
Periodic Maintenance
Please contact your authorized dealer to maintain your unit periodically：
˙Make sure the front and rear wheels are in good condition.
˙Maintain the battery pack and charger in good condition.
˙Maintain the motor and controller in good condition.
˙Check and maintain the brake system to keep it in good condition.
˙Use lubricant to maintain metal parts of the unit, however do not lubricate the brake
shoes.
˙Check all electrical connections and mechanical parts are securely locked
and fastened.
Do not keep riding your unit if a problem occurs. Refer to the content of trouble shooting in
this manual or contact your authorized dealer for further inspection and maintenance.
Ensure to use the spare parts supplied by PMMC for replacement.
Routine Maintenance
˙Check to see if the tire tread and tire pressure are in good condition.
˙Check to see if the battery capacity remaining charge and charger are in good condition.
˙Clean up the surface of your unit without spraying over all electrical connections.
If you have any questions after checking, please refer to the content of trouble shooting in
this manual or contact your authorized dealer for inspection and maintenance.
e-Moped / e-Bike Care
The lifetime of your unit will be adversely affected by severe and/or aggressive road
conditions, such as dirt, rain, water or salt spray, etc. Ensure your unit, including the battery
pack and the charger, are used as instructed in this manual and are protected for
transportation. Always store your unit indoors when not in use. This will prolong the lifespan
of your unit.
