2 Zu Ihrer Sicherheit
WARNUNG
Falscher Referenzwert der optischen Eigenschaften
Wenn der Optikhaubenabgleich nicht korrekt durchgeführt wird, werden zu schützende
Personen und Körperteile möglicherweise nicht erkannt.
bNach jedem Austausch der Optikhaube einen Optikhaubenabgleich mit dem
Safety Designer durchführen.
bOptikhaubenabgleich bei Raumtemperatur (10 °C bis 30 °C) durchführen.
bOptikhaubenabgleich nur mit einer neuen Optikhaube durchführen.
bSicherstellen, dass die neue Optikhaube zum Zeitpunkt des Abgleichs frei von Ver‐
unreinigungen ist.
WICHTIG
bDie Optikhaube des Sicherheits-Laserscanners ist ein optisches Bauteil. Darauf
achten, dass die Optikhaube beim Auspacken und Montieren nicht verunreinigt
oder zerkratzt wird. Fingerabdrücke auf der Optikhaube vermeiden. Beim Tausch
die Handschuhe tragen, die mit der neuen Optikhaube geliefert werden.
bOptikhaube in trockener, staub- und schmutzfreier Umgebung austauschen.
bOptikhaube nie im laufenden Betrieb tauschen, da Staubpartikel in den Sicher‐
heits-Laserscanner eindringen könnten.
bVerunreinigungen auf der Innenseite der Optikhaube unbedingt vermeiden, z. B.
Fingerabdrücke.
bZum Abdichten der Optikhaube kein zusätzliches Dichtungsmittel wie z. B. Silikon
verwenden. Entstehende Dämpfe können die optischen Bauteile beschädigen.
bOptikhaube entsprechend der folgenden Anleitung montieren, um die Gehäuse‐
dichtigkeit IP65 zu gewährleisten.
bAls Ersatz ausschließlich neue Optikhauben verwenden.
bWährend des Tauschs der Optikhaube für ESD-Schutz sorgen.
WICHTIG
Die Schutzart IP65 gilt nur, wenn die Optikhaube und der Systemstecker montiert sind
und der USB-Anschluss mit der Schutzabdeckung verschlossen ist.
3 Optikhaube tauschen

Vorgehensweise
Optikhaube tauschen
1. Sicherheits-Laserscanner zunächst von außen reinigen, damit keine Fremdkörper
in das geöffnete Gerät gelangen.
2. Befestigungsschrauben der Optikhaube lösen.
3. Optikhaube langsam und vorsichtig vom Sicherheits-Laserscanner lösen. Falls die
Dichtung der Optikhaube am Sicherheits-Laserscanner festklebt, die Optikhaube
vorsichtig mit einem Schraubendreher lösen.
4. Verschmutzungen der Dichtnut und der Anlagefläche des Sicherheits-Laserscan‐
ners ggf. entfernen. Rückstandsfreien Kunststoffreiniger verwenden.
5. Bei den folgenden Schritten die Handschuhe tragen, die mit der neuen Optik‐
haube geliefert werden.
6. Neue Optikhaube aus der Verpackung nehmen und Verpackungsrückstände ggf.
entfernen.
7. Falls die Dichtung sich gelöst hat, die Dichtung in die vorgesehene Nut der Optik‐
haube legen.
8. Optikhaube vorsichtig über den Spiegel schieben. Darauf achten, dass die Optik‐
haube den Spiegel nicht berührt.
9. Optikhaube auf den Sicherheits-Laserscanner setzen. Darauf achten, dass die
Optikhaube flächig aufliegt.
10. Optikhaube mit den neuen Befestigungsschrauben anschrauben. Anzugsdrehmo‐
ment: 1,0 Nm … 1,2 Nm.
11. Darauf achten, dass die Optikhaube frei von Verunreinigungen und Beschädigun‐
gen ist.
Sicherheits-Laserscanner wieder in Betrieb nehmen
1. Sicherheits-Laserscanner wieder ordnungsgemäß montieren.
2. Alle elektrischen Verbindungen des Sicherheits-Laserscanners wiederherstellen.
3. Optikhaubenabgleich durchführen.
4. Sicherheitsfunktion mit dem Safety Designer starten.
5. Wirksamkeit der Schutzeinrichtung prüfen.
°In der Regel wird die Schutzeinrichtung genauso geprüft wie bei der Inbetrieb‐
nahme.
°Wenn bei der Projektierung die möglichen Toleranzen der Geräte berücksich‐
tigt wurden und wenn sichergestellt ist, dass weder die Konfiguration noch
die Verdrahtung noch die Ausrichtung des Sicherheits-Laserscanners verän‐
dert wurde, ist eine Funktionsprüfung ausreichend.

2 Safety information
WARNING
Incorrect reference value of optical properties
If optics cover calibration is not done correctly, persons and parts of the body to be pro‐
tected may not be detected.
bCarry out an optics cover calibration with the Safety Designer every time the optics
cover is replaced.
bCarry out the optics cover calibration at room temperature (10 °C to 30 °C).
bOnly carry out the optics cover calibration using a new optics cover.
bMake sure that the entire system is clear of contamination when the adjustment is
carried out.
NOTICE
bThe optics cover of the safety laser scanner is an optical component. Make sure
that the optics cover does not become dirty or scratched during unpacking and
mounting. Prevent fingerprints on the optics cover. Wear the gloves supplied with
the new optics cover during replacement.
bReplace the optics cover in a dry environment free of dust and dirt.
bNever replace the optics cover during continuous operation, as dust particles
could penetrate into the safety laser scanner.
bAvoid soiling the inside of the optics cover, e.g, by fingerprints.
bDo not use any additional sealant, such as silicone, for sealing the optics cover.
Any vapors that are created may damage the optical components.
bMount the optics cover according to the following instructions to ensure IP65 leak
tightness of the housing.
bOnly use a new optics cover as a replacement.
bProvide ESD protection when replacing the optics cover.
NOTICE
Enclosure rating IP65 only applies if the optics cover and the system plug are mounted
and the USB connection is closed with the protective cover.
3 Replacing the optics cover

Approach
Replacing the optical cover
1. First, clean the safety laser scanner from the outside, so that no foreign bodies
penetrate into the open device.
2. Unscrew the fixing screws for the optical cover.
3. Slowly and carefully detach the optical cover from the safety laser scanner. If the
optical cover seal sticks to the safety laser scanner, carefully detach the optical
cover using a screwdriver.
4. If necessary, remove contamination from the sealing groove and the bearing sur‐
face of the safety laser scanner. Use residue-free plastic cleaners.
5. During the following steps, wear the gloves supplied with the new optical cover.
6. Take the new optics cover out of the packaging and remove the residual packag‐
ing.
7. If the seal has come loose, place the seal in the slot provided in the optics cover.
8. Carefully push the optical cover over the mirror. Make sure that the optical cover
does not touch the mirror.
9. Place the optics cover onto the safety laser scanner. Make sure that the optics
cover rests over the whole area.
10. Screw on the optics cover with the new fixing screws. Tightening torque: 1.0 Nm …
1.2 Nm.
11. Make sure that the optical cover is clear of dirt and damage.
Put the safety laser scanner back into operation
1. Properly remount the safety laser scanner.
2. Reconnect all of the electrical connections to the safety laser scanner.
3. Carry out optics cover calibration.
4. Start the safety function using the Safety Designer.
5. Check the effectiveness of the protective device.
°Generally, the protective device is checked exactly as during commissioning.
°If during the project planning the possible tolerances of the devices have
been considered and it is ensured that the configuration, wiring, or alignment
of the safety laser scanner have not been changed, a function test is suffi‐
cient.
