Hicom 150 E Office
Hicom 150 E Office is a state-of-the-art communi-
cation system that is designed for maximum user-
friendliness. It is connected to the public network
via ISDN and/or conventional analog trunks.
Operation is greatly simplified by a new system of
self-explanatory user prompts on a display. The
new motto is display and select.
This user manual shows you, the system adminis-
tration specialist, how to adapt your Hicom 150 E
Office system with your system telephone to suit
the relevant operational requirements (= system
administration using Assistant TC).
Your Hicom 150 E Office system can also be ad-
ministered via a PC (= system administration via
Assistant C).
System administration can be carried out
from the two system telephones with the
lowest station numbers (such as 11 and 12
or 100 and 101).
The following system telephones can be
used for system administration:
optiset E standard,
optiset E advance plus/comfort,
optiset E advance conference/conference,
and optiset E memory.
Texts can be entered on the optiset E
memory model.

Because of the menu-driven user prompts, it is not
necessary to provide a complete description of the
detailed operating procedures for system adminis-
tration. Therefore, this manual contains only an ex-
planation of the main menus and submenus and
how they can be activated. The user prompting on
the display takes over from there.
One copy of this user manual is enclosed with
each system and is intended for system adminis-
tration only.
In addition, one user manual to be used by system
administration for reference purposes is enclosed
with each system for the optiset E system tele-
phones.
At least one set of operating instructions for tone
dialing, pulse dialing, and ISDN telephones is also
provided with each system.
Operating instructions are provided for the individ-
ual users of the system telephones.

Before you Start ...
Purpose
You can perform the available system administra-
tion functions for your Hicom 150 E Office from a
system telephone with the appropriate class of
service using the menu-driven user prompting.

This user manual is intended for the person (sys-
tem administration specialist) responsible for over-
seeing and administering the Hicom 150 E Office
system and the telephones connected to it.
Prerequisite
You are familiar with the system telephone user
manual so that you are well prepared to carry out
system administration.
