• Pleasechoosetheconnectorthatiscompatiblewiththeairlinesystemyouareusing,andinstall
asoutlinedbelow:
1. ApplysomePTFEtape(notincluded)tothescrewthreadsoftheQuickConnector(5or6).This
willhelptomaintainanairtightseal
Note:ApplyPTFEtapetightlyandinaclockwisedirection,soitdoesnotcomeoffwhenthethread
isscrewedintothetool.
2. Remove the protective plug from the air inlet
3. Usingaspanner(notincluded)screwthequickconnectorintotheairinletlocatedatthebaseof
the handle
4. Connecttoairline,pressurisecarefully,thencarryoutaleakcheck(e.g.bysprayingsmall
amountsofsoapywaterontotheoutsideoftheconnectors)
• Airlinesttedwithmatchingfemalequickconnectorswillnowbeapushttothetool

• Whilstworkingwiththetool,speedadjustmentscanbemadeviatheSpeedControlTrigger(3)
Setting the angle of the blade assembly
• TheBladeAssembly(1)canberotatedtothedesiredangleforbettercontroloftheshears
• UsingthesuppliedHexKey(7),SlackentheBladeRetainingHexBolts(2)slightly,whichwill
enabletheBladeAssemblytoberotated,andretightentheboltswiththeBladeAssemblyat
the required angle

1. GripthetoolanddepresstheSpeedControlTrigger(3)tostartthetool
2. Applylightpressuretomovethebladesthroughthematerial,asshowninFig.I
Note:Ifthedevicestallswhilstcutting,releasepressureonthespeedcontroltriggertoturnOFFthe
tool.Pullbackfromthecuttingedge.Depressthetriggertorestartthecuttingprocessandslowly
engage the cut.
3. ReleasepressureontheSpeedControlTriggertonishcutting
Note: This device is designed for cutting straight lines and gradual curves,not 90° corners.
Note:DONOTallowthesheartorunin‘idlerotation’foranextendedperiodoftime.Thiswill
shorten its life.

Maintenance

Replacing blades
Note:Periodicallyinspectandreplacebladesasnecessary.Allthreebladesareavailabletopurchase
separately(see‘Accessories’),however,itisrecommendedtoalwaysreplacethemasaset.
1. RemovetheBladeRetainingHexBolts(2)usingtheHexKey(7)
2. Removethecentrebladerst,thentheleftandrightbladesandbushing
3. Replacewithnewblades.Placethebushingbetweenthenewleftandrightblades(seeFig.II),
andinsertintotheBladeAssembly(1)
4. InsertthethreepreviouslyremovedBladeRetainingHexBoltsintothebodyoftheblade
assembly,andtightenallthreeboltswiththehexkey
Cleaning
• Keepyourtoolcleanatalltimes.Dirtanddustwillcauseinternalpartstowearquickly,and
shortenthemachine’sservicelife.Cleanthebodyofyourmachinewithasoftbrush,ordrycloth
IMPORTANT: Thereisverylittlethatcangowrongwithyourairtoolanditshouldbenotedthat
whenanairtoolfailstoworkitisgenerallybecausetheinternalworkingshavecorrodeddueto
dirty,wetairandfailuretofollowtheinstructionsgivenbelow.
Daily maintenance procedure: Disconnectfromtheairsupply,pourafewdropsofoilintotheair
intake.Operatethemachineatlowspeedtothoroughlylubricateallinternalworkings.
• Ifthemachineisinconstantuseorusedforlongperiodsatatime,acombinedlter/lubricator
mustbetted.Theremustbeanairlterttedatalltimes
• Useairtooloil.DONOTUNDERANYCIRCUMSTANCESUSENORMALENGINEOIL
• Failuretocomplywiththeoperatingandmaintenanceinstructionsmayinvalidatetheguarantee
