Safety and Care Information
IMPORTANT! Self installation instructions and tips are provided for your convenience. It is
your responsibility to determine if you have the knowledge, skills, and physical ability
required to properly perform an installation. SiriusXM shall have no liability for damage or
injury resulting from the installation or use of any SiriusXM or third party products. It is
your responsibility to ensure that all products are installed in adherence with local laws
and regulations. SiriusXM product warranties do not cover the installation, removal or
reinstallation of any product.
• Do not expose to extreme temperatures (above 95°F or below 23°F, or above 35°C or below
-5°C).
• Do not expose to moisture. Do not use device near or in water. Do not touch the device with
wet hands.
• Do not let any foreign matter spill into device.
• Do not store in dusty areas.
• Do not expose to chemicals such as benzene and thinners. Do not use liquid or aerosol
cleaners. Clean with a soft damp cloth only.
• Do not expose to direct sunlight for a prolonged period of time, and do not expose to fire,

Introduction
LED, Connectors, and Button Function
1. LED Indicator:
LED Color Description
White Power on — Not connected to a network
Blue Connected to a network — Not playing
Green Playing
Flashing Green Retrying
Flashing Red Firmware update in progress. (Note that the Radio may be unresponsive
during an update).
2. LAN: Connector for a wired Ethernet connection.
3. Stereo Out L/R: Used to connect the Radio to a stereo audio system.
4. Mono Out: Used to connect the Radio to a phone system.
5. DC IN 5V: Power connector for the supplied Power Adapter. (5 volts)
6. Reboot/Reset Button: Short press to restart Radio — 10 second press to reset the Radio to the
factory defaults.

Installation
Subscribe to the SiriusXM Music for Business Internet Service
To listen to the SiriusXM Music for Business Internet Service, you will need to subscribe to the
service. Call 1-866-345-SIRIUS (7474) to subscribe and obtain your SiriusXM username and password
(credentials).
Download the App
Using an Android or Apple device, go to the Google Play Store or Apple iTunes Store and
install the SiriusXM Music For Business app. Note that the Android or Apple device will need
to be on the same network as the Radio.
Connect the Radio
1. Connect the Power Adapter to the DC IN 5V connector, and plug the Power Adapter into an AC
outlet. The Radio will power on automatically.
2. Connect the Radio to a audio system using the provided Stereo Audio Cable, and turn on the
audio system.
3. Select one of the network connection options that follow. Note that when you initially connect
to a network, the Radio will download and install a firmware update. Don’t unplug the power
during the update. Normally, a solid blue light on front of Radio indicates the update is
completed. During the update the light will flash red and the Radio will be unresponsive until the
update is completed.
a. Wired Network Connection (BREO or BREW) (recommended): To connect the Radio with a
wired connection, connect the Ethernet cable to the LAN connector of the Radio. Connect
the other end to your local network.
b. Wireless Network Connection (BREW only):
There are two possible ways to connect BREW to a wireless network, using Bluetooth in
your Android or Apple device (method 1), or by temporarily connecting an Ethernet cable
(method 2).
Method 1: Use Bluetooth in your Android or Apple device
1. Make sure there is no Ethernet cable connected to the Radio. Turn on Bluetooth® in your
Android or Apple device and have it near the Radio. Start the app and select +at the
lower right for Android app, and upper right for iOS app, to find the Radio. The name of
the Radio will be displayed if found.
2. Tap the BREW Radio that is shown.
3. A list of nearby Wi-Fi networks will be displayed. Select your Wi-Fi network in the list
and enter the Wi-Fi password, if prompted. Select Save or OK to connect to the Wi-Fi
network. If the Radio has successfully connected to the network the light on the front of
the Radio should be blue.
Method 2: Temporarily connect an Ethernet cable
1. Temporarily connect the Ethernet cable to the LAN connector of the Radio. Connect the
other end to your local network. The Android or Apple device running the app will need
to be on the same network as the Radio. Start the app, swipe down the screen to find
the Radio on your network. The name and the IP address of the Radio will be displayed if
found.

2. Select the Radio that is shown. When
prompted, enter the default admin
password 0000.
3. Select Settings, select Network Wizard,
select Wireless, select Scan to see a list
the of available Wi-Fi networks.
4. Select your Wi-Fi network in the list and
enter the Wi-Fi password, if prompted.
Select Save or OK to connect to the Wi-
Fi network. If the Radio has successfully
connected to the network the light on the
front of the Radio should be blue.
5. Disconnect the Ethernet cable.
Select the Timezone
1. In the app, select the Radio that is shown. When prompted, enter the
default admin password 0000.
2. If Settings is not shown, select the Home button at the upper left.
3. Select Settings and then select Time Settings.
4. Select Timezone and select your time zone. If you are not using Daylight
Savings Time select your timezone that says, no-DST.

1. Select Settings and then select SiriusXM Account.
2. Select Username and enter the SiriusXM username and select OK.
3. Select Password and enter the SiriusXM password and select OK.
4. Select Sign In to sign into your SiriusXM account.

Using the Radio
Accessing the Radio
If you followed the installation instructions you have already downloaded
the SiriusXM Music For Business app. Using this app you can access and
administer all the features of the Radio. (If not refer to “Download the App” on
page 7.)
You can also access the Radio using a web browser on a computer, tablet, or
smartphone. Simply type the IP address of the Radio in the browser address
bar to access to the Radio. The IP address of the Radio is displayed when
using the app, and the app has found the Radio on the network. The app will
display the IP address of the Radio.
When following the instructions in this User Guide either the app or the web
browser may be used. Note that the User Interface (the layout of the screens)
will differ somewhat between the app and the web interface, but both have
the same functionality and either can access all the menus and features.
The Home button returns you to the home page where all the selections
mentioned in this User Guide may be found.
Securing Access to the Radio
We recommend changing the default Administrator password (0000) to a password of your choice.
This will prevent unauthorized changes to the Radio.
It is also recommended that you set a User password. A user will have limited access to the functions
of the Radio such as being able to change the channel but cannot change other settings.
Changing the Administrators Password
1. From the Home screen select Settings, then select Security Settings,
then select Change admin password.
2. Enter the new admin password of your choice and select Change
Password.
Write down the new admin password and keep in a secure location so it will
not be forgotten. If the password is forgotten, the Radio will have to be reset
to the factory defaults, and any changes that have been made to the Radio,
such as Favorites and Settings, will be lost during a factory reset.
Setting a User Password
1. From the Home screen select Settings, then select Security Settings,
then select Change user password.
2. Enter a user password of your choice and select Change Password.
By default the user has permission access to categories and channels, allowing
the user to change channels and add channels as favorites. The user also has permission to access
to favorites allowing the user to tune favorites and delete channels from favorites. To change these
permissions, return to the Security Settings page and change these selections, Allow user to use
Categories and Allow user to use Favorites.

The Home Screen
Each element of the Home screen is described in the following table.
To display the Now Playing screen, select the Now Playing area (number 12, below).

1Home button Select to return to this Home page from any screen or menu.
2Category List Select to open a list of categories to select a channel or on-
demand content to play.
3Favorites List Select to open a list of channels and on-demand shows which
have been saved as favorites.
4Recent List Select to open a list of channels and on-demand shows which
have been recently tuned.
5Settings Select to open a list of Radio settings. Refer to “Settings” on
page 20 for more detail about the various options in Settings.

6Standby Select to put the Radio in standby mode which pauses the
currently playing content, and mutes the audio.
7Local Time Indicates the local time setting of the Radio.
8Remote Scheduling Status Indicates whether the remote scheduling feature is disabled or
enabled.
9Schedule Displays the name of the current schedule (if enabled).
10 Album Art Album art for the currently playing content, if available.
11 Artist Name, Show or Song
Title, and Album Name
The artist’s name, the song or show title, and the album name for
the currently playing content.
12 Now Playing Displays the currently tuned content. Select to open and display
the Now Playing screen.

Each element of the Now Playing screen are described in the following table.

3Option button
The Option button provides several selections:
Go Live: Select to return to the live broadcast if listening behind
live.
Add Channel to Favorites: Select to add the currently tuned
channel to favorites.
Add Show to Favorites: Select to add the currently tuned show
to favorites.
View On-Demand Episodes: Select to display available on-
demand episodes for the currently tuned content.
4Channel Number/Channel
Type and Name
The channel number/channel type and name of the currently
tuned content.

Selecting a Channel or On-Demand Episode
The first time the Radio successfully connects to the SiriusXM Music for Business Internet Service, no
content will have been selected to play. Either channels or on-demand content may be selected to
play.
Selecting a Channel
1. Select Categories from the Home screen.
2. Select All Channels for a list of all SiriusXM channels, or select a category (Pop, Rock, etc.) to
see all channels within a genre.
3. Select a channel from the list to play.

Selecting an On Demand Episode
On demand is content that has previously aired on SiriusXM. When you select a channel, and the on
demand content for the channel, you will see a list of show episodes.
1. Select Categories from the Home screen.
2. Select All Channels for a list of all SiriusXM channels, or select a category (Pop, Rock, etc.) to
see all channels within a genre.
3. To the right of the channel name, select ⋮ (the vertical ellipsis) and select On Demand.
4. Select an episode from the list to play.

Favorites
Channels and shows can be saved as favorites so you can easily access them.
Saving a Favorite
There are two ways to save a channel or a show as a favorite, from the list for channels and from the
Now Playing screen.
Saving a favorite from the Channel List
1. Select Categories from the Home screen.
2. Select a category.
3. To the right of the channel name, select ⋮ (the vertical ellipsis) and select
Add Channel to Favorites.
Saving a favorite from the Now Playing screen
1. If not at the Now Playing screen select the Now Playing area to open the
Now Playing screen.
2. From the Now Playing screen select ⋮ (the vertical ellipsis) and select
Add Channel to Favorites or Add Show to Favorites.

Removing a Favorite
1. Select Favorites from the Home screen.
2. To the right of the favorite name, select ⋮ (the vertical ellipsis) and select
Remove Favorite.
Tuning a Favorite
1. Select Favorites from the Home screen.
2. Select a favorite channel or show from the list of favorites.

TuneStart
TuneStart plays the currently playing song from the beginning when you tune
to a music channel. This can be useful when using remote scheduling and the
schedule changes the channel. Rather than beg mid-song, TuneStart will play
the song from the beginning.
TuneStart is on by default.
1. Select Settings from the Home screen.
2. Select SiriusXM Account,
3. Select TuneStart to toggle TuneStart on or off.
Remote Scheduling
Remote scheduling enables creating the perfect music experience for any time of the day by
scheduling the Radio to automatically change channels and volume at different times.
The Radio will check with the scheduling portal at SiriusXM at the interval that
is set in the Portal Refresh Rate setting. The rate is measured in minutes and
can be set from 1 minute to 60 minutes. The default rate is 5 minutes.
Remote scheduling is off by default.
1. Select Settings from the Home screen.
2. Select Remote Scheduling.
3. Select Enable schedule to toggle scheduling on or off.
4. Select Portal Refresh Rate if you want to change the rate.
5. Move the Portal Refresh Rate slider left or right to decrease or increase
the refresh rate time and select OK to save the new rate.

Standby
Standby pauses the content that is currently playing and mutes the audio.
1. Select Standby to enter standby mode.
2. Select Standby again to exit standby mode.

Settings
Settings is where you the Radio’s settings are configured. The following table describes each
selection in Settings.
SiriusXM Account SiriusXM Account is where you enter the username and password that was
received when you subscribed to the SiriusXM Music for Business Internet
Service, and also select the TuneStart feature. Refer to “Enter Your SiriusXM
Account Credentials” on page 9, and “TuneStart” on page 19 for
details.
To remove/clear the credentials you had previously entered select Sign in.
Security Settings Security Settings is where you can change the administrators password, and
also set a user password and select the users permissions. Refer to “Securing
Access to the Radio” on page 10 for details.
Remote
Scheduling
Remote scheduling enables creating the perfect music experience for any
time of the day by scheduling the Radio to automatically change channels and
volume at different times. Refer to “Remote Scheduling” on page 19 for
details.
Time Settings Timezone: Timezone is where you select the timezone that the Radio is in.
There are two options for each timezone according to whether Daylight
Savings Time is observed or not. Refer to “Select the Timezone” on page 8
for details.
ReTune Time: ReTune Time is the required daily streaming server check. A
retune may cause a brief 1 to 2 second pause in the audio, so set the time
should be set to coincide with a time when the business is closed or the Radio
isn’t in use. The default setting is 4:00 AM.
1. Select ReTune Time.
2. Select the hour and enter the hour, 0-23.
3. Select the minutes and enter the minutes.
4. Select OK to save the selected time.
