1.0 TURNING YOUR SKYCADDIE®AIRE ON AND OFF
Turn on your AIRE On or Off by holding down the POWER/BACKLIGHT
button.
1.2 To change the default language:
Scroll through the Main Menu by pressing the UP/DOWN buttons and
highlight “More.” Press the MENU/ENTER button to select. In the “More”
menu, scroll by pressing the UP/DOWN buttons to highlight “Language,”
then press the MENU/ENTER button to select. Press the UP/DOWN
Buttons to display the language options, then press and hold the MENU/
ENTER button to select your preferred language. Press the MENU/
ENTER button to return to the “More” Menu. Press the MENU/ENTER
button again to return to the Main Menu.

IMPORTANT: Before you connect the enclosed USB cable to your
computer, please install the latest version of CaddieSync® Express to
your computer first, so that the latest drivers are installed.
To install CaddieSync Express:
1. Make sure the AIRE USB cable is NOT attached to your computer.
2. Go to www.skycaddie.com and click “Sync” in the upper right corner.
3. CaddieSync Express will state that it needs to be installed. Follow the
onscreen directions.

2.0 CHARGING YOUR SKYCADDIE AIRE
Please fully charge your AIRE before first use. The length of time
required to fully charge the battery varies and depends on actual usage.
2.1 CHARGING YOUR AIRE USING YOUR COMPUTER
1. Gently pull back the rubber cover located on the back of the AIRE
to gain access to the Mini-USB Port. Use the cable that is included
in the box and insert the Mini-USB connector into the open port.
2. Insert the other end of the cable into an open USB port on your
computer.
3. The AIRE display will turn on and you will see the Battery Gauge.
The gauge will tell you when the device is fully charged. Your AIRE
will recharge when it is connected to a computer that is powered
on. An optional Universal Wall Plug is available at www.skygolf.
com if you wish to charge your AIRE using a wall outlet.
4. When complete, you can connect the USB cable to the computer.
You may choose to exit CaddieSync Express if you would like to
simply charge your SkyCaddie AIRE, or you may click Sync to
register it.
NOTE: It is recommended that the battery is recharged after every
round of golf or odometer session. A full charge should provide up
to 8 hours of golf or odometer usage. When the battery is low, the
Aire will turn off automatically.
3.0 AIRE MENU
• PLAY GOLF: View how far you’ve walked, track your score, and
measure shot distances (Only available at the golf course with a
clear view of the sky).
• ODOMETER: (Available Soon) Track and save info about your walk/
run/ride (Only available outdoors with a clear view of the sky).
• STOPWATCH: Measure elapsed time.
• DEMO: Demonstrates the GOLF features without being on a
course.
• MORE: Adjust various settings for your AIRE.
3.1 AIRE “MORE” MENU
• SCORES: View and manage saved Scorecards.
• WORKOUTS: Manage sessions (available with the Odometer
function).
• ACCESS CODE: Display your activation Access Code.
• UNITS: Select Standard (Yards/Miles) or Metric (Meters/kilometers).
• AUTO HOLE: Turn the Auto Hole Advance feature On or Off.
• AUTOLAP: Adjust when the ODOMETER laps automatically.
• BACKLIGHT: Adjust when the backlight turns off.
• AUTO OFF: Adjust when the AIRE turns off.

• ADJUST TIME: Adjust time zone and date/time formats.
• WEIGHT: Adjust the weight setting for your workouts.
• SOUND: Turn the Sound On or Off.
• DISPLAY: Adjust the Display style.
• MEMBERSHIP: View Membership information on your AIRE.
• DEVICE INFO: Display information about your AIRE.
• LANGUAGE: Set the Language displayed on your AIRE.

4.0 CHANGING MODES AND MENU SELECTIONS
To change Modes, you will need to use the Main Menu:
1. Press and hold the MENU/ENTER button until the menu appears.
2. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to scroll through menu items.
3. Press the MENU/ENTER button to select the highlighted menu item.
5.0 ACQUIRING SATELLITE SIGNALS
In order to accurately navigate or measure distances with GPS,
you need to have a good line of sight to an open sky. Be sure to go
outside to an open area away from tall buildings and trees to start this
process, which may take a few minutes.
6.0 ADJUSTING THE TIME AND DATE
Your AIRE sets the date and time automatically using the GPS
satellites.
1. Press and hold the MENU/ENTER button until the menu appears.
2. Highlight MORE and press the MENU/ENTER button.
3. Select SET TIME.
4. Pressing the MENU/ENTER button to confirm and move forward,
use the UP or DOWN keys to select:

6. When the search is completed, a list of nearby courses will display.
7. Highlight the correct course using the UP/DOWN buttons.
8. Press the MENU/ENTER button to open the highlighted course.
7.2 Playing Golf
Your AIRE provides three views during PLAY GOLF mode. To change
between views, press the MENU/ENTER button:
• The default GREEN View automatically updates the distances to
the Front, Center and Back of the green as you progress from Tee
to Green.
Note: Your AIRE will automatically advance to the next hole if Auto
Hole Advance is selected as “On” in the “MORE” menu (see 6.4 Hole
Advance).
• The SCORE View allows you to enter your score. Par will be
entered automatically. To adjust your score, press the UP/DOWN
buttons. To save your scorecard, hold MENU/ENTER and select
SAVE SCORE. Your score will be automatically reset when you
start a new round.
5. Press and hold the MENU/ENTER button to return to the Main
Menu when finished.
7.0 PLAY GOLF MODE
In PLAY GOLF Mode, you can access several golf features:
• View real-time distances to the front, center, and back of the
green.
• Enter and Track your score as you play your round.
• Measure how far you hit each of your clubs.
• View how far you’ve walked and track the elapsed time since
beginning your round.
7.1 Starting a New Round
Make sure you are outside and near the course you are going to play.
1. Press and hold the POWER button to turn On your AIRE.
2. Highlight PLAY GOLF using the UP/DOWN buttons.
3. Press the MENU/ENTER button to confirm.
4. If prompted, highlight NEW GAME and the MENU/ENTER button.
5. The AIRE will activate the GPS and auto-search for nearby courses.
It may take a few minutes for the AIRE to acquire a GPS signal.

• The MARK View allows you to mark your ball to display the
distance of your shot (see 5.3 Measure Any Shot Distance).
• The STATS view displays how far you’ve walked as well as the
elapsed time since starting your round.
After changing to other views, your AIRE will automatically return to
the GREEN view, if no button is pressed for 20 seconds.
After ending your golf session, you can select PLAY GOLF mode again
and either Resume your round or start a New Round. To conserve
your battery after completion of play, simply hold the POWER button
to turn your AIRE off.
HINT: If you would like to get acquainted with the PLAY GOLF Mode
functions on your AIRE, we suggest using DEMO Mode.
7.3 Measure Any Shot Distance
To measure your shot distance, you will need to mark each ball
location:
• Mark the location from where you hit your ball:
1. From the GREEN view, press the MENU/ENTER button to
open the MARK view.
2. Press the UP button to mark your location.
3. Press MENU/ENTER again to progress to the STATS view or
press MENU/ENTER twice to return to the GREEN view.
• At the place where your ball landed:
1. From the GREEN view, press the MENU/ENTER button to
open the MARK view.
2. The MARK view will display the distance from your last mark.
3. If you want to mark again, press the UP button again.

Note: The MARK BALL feature only works when you are in PLAY
GOLF mode. While on the MARK view, if no button is pressed for 20
seconds your AIRE will automatically return to the GREEN view.
7.4 HOLE ADVANCE
You can change holes on your AIRE in two ways:
• Manually: When on the GREEN view, press the UP/DOWN buttons
to advance to a different hole than the one displayed. Manual hole
advance can be used anytime.
• Automatically: If Auto-Hole Advance is turned on, you will not need to
press any buttons to go to the next hole, since your AIRE will know to
change holes automatically. You can turn AUTO HOLE on or off in the
MORE menu.
Note: If you skip a hole or do not start your round at Hole 1, you may
have to use the UP/DOWN buttons to advance to a different hole.
7.5 CHANGING FROM YARDS TO METRES / STANDARD TO METRIC
1. Press and hold MENU button until the MENU appears
2. Highlight SETTINGS using the UP/DOWN buttons
3. Press the OK button to confirm
4. Highlight UNITS using the UP/DOWN buttons
5. Press OK to confirm
6. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to choose either STNDRD or METRIC
7. Press the OK button to confirm
8.0 30-DAY COMPLIMENTARY COURSE MAP TRIAL
Your AIRE comes preloaded with front, center, and back distances for
golf courses worldwide on a 30-day trial basis. Your complimentary
30-day trial period will begin after your first round of golf. After 30
days, access to course data requires a membership plan, which gives
you access to SkyCaddie’s highly accurate and proprietary course map
database with unlimited updates as well as a wide variety of member
benefits and rewards.

on all the stroke-saving and money-saving benefits of having a
membership.
9.0 ACTIVATING AND REGISTERING THE AIRE
Activating and registering the AIRE is the process to make it YOURS!
1. Using your computer, open a web browser window and go to www.
myskycaddie.com.
2. On your AIRE, select ACCESS CODE in the MORE menu to display
your unique 8-character Access Code.
3. Enter the Access Code into the form on the webpage. The
website will ask you to login to your SkyGolf account to complete
activation. If you do not yet have a SkyGolf account, you will have
the opportunity to create one.

4. The website will provide you with an opportunity to purchase a
membership plan, which gives you access to SkyGolf’s highly
accurate and proprietary course map library, if you have not done
so already.
Upon successful registration, the website will ask you to sync
your AIRE via CaddieSync™ Express, enabling your personalized
information to be downloaded to the device. Follow the on-screen
instructions to sync your AIRE. (Please see an important note
regarding CaddieSync Express on page 3.)
10.0 DEVICE INFO MODE
1. From the Main Menu, scroll using the UP/DOWN buttons and select
MORE using the MENU/ENTER button.
2. Scroll using the UP/DOWN buttons to DEVICE INFO and press MENU/
ENTER to display the 12-digit Electronic Serial Number (ESN) of your
AIRE, the Firmware Version and Map Version.
3. Press MENU/ENTER to exit and return to the Menu.
11.0 HELPFUL SKYCADDIE TIPS
• Wait until the AIRE has finished syncing before you disconnect it or
power off your computer.
• Turn on GPS-enabled features on your AIRE only when outdoors or
on the golf course, with a clear view of the sky. To receive the best
GPS accuracy performance, give it an initial five to ten minutes to
warm-up before play or activity.
• Higher GPS Signal strength provides higher accuracy.
• To maintain optimal GPS accuracy, make sure the AIRE always has
a clear view of the sky when using a GPS feature.
• Do not put the AIRE in your pocket when using a GPS feature to
assure optimal performance.
• Fully charge the battery before and after each round of Golf.
• Do not expose the AIRE to extreme temperatures or to water.
