Safety instructions
The stickers attached to the machine and tankers give information for a save use and important instructions.
1. Following the instructions is very important for your own safety. Damaged stickers need to be replaced
immediately.
2. Do not work with the machine when safety protections are not complete, in functional state and undamaged. The
protections prevent you for the danger zones of the machine. Always keep the protection in optimal state.
3. Make sure that nobody is on, under or close to the machine when:
a. The machine is put into work
b. You are working with the machine
c. The machine is standing still, but is not turned off.
4. Only one person can operate the machine.
5. When the tractor is standing still the machine has to be in position of rest. This means the arms need to be folded
out and the machine is not lifted. The ball valve on the hydraulic valve needs to be closed.
6. When servicing the machine make sure the engine from the tractor is stopped and the hydraulic circuit is
discharged.
7. Make sure the machine is folded out and lowered when opening the cutting-rotor to prevent pressure of the
manure into the cutting-rotor.
8. Pay attention to your fingers when working on the cutting-rotor.
9. Damaged hydraulic lines need to be replaced immediately.
10. It is not allowed to adjust the relief valve outlet, ask your supplier or Slootsmid.
11. Do not stand on the machine while working with the machine.

7
Safety stickers
The attached stickers to the machine or tanker inform a safe use and important instructions. Reed these instructions and work
according the instructions. Damaged stickers need to be replaced immediately.
-Pay attention! Reed the manual and safety instructions before you start working with the machine.
-STOP. Attention when working on the cutting-rotor
-Make sure nobody is on, at or in the area around the machine when working with the machine.
-STOP. When servicing the machine stop the engine of the tractor.

8
Assembly description
Assembling the machine behind a tanker:
1. Restriction is that the tanker has a uninterrupted chassis.
2. Assemble the lifting consoles with the supports according the drawing at page 11 tot the tanker.
3. Assemble the lifting arms, top link and the lifting cylinders according the drawing at page 12.

9
Hitch en dose set
Information about the hitch and the dose set
-Grease hitch pins before use.
-For the SB 3M machine, two (2) hydraulic connections (tube diameter: 15 millimeter for steering) are necessary on
the backside of the tanker.
-For the SB 4.5M, SB 5.5M and SB 6.5M machines, two (2)hydraulic connections (tube diameter 15 millimeter for
steering) and two (2) hydraulic connections (tube diameter 12 millimeter for folding) are necessary on the backside
of the tanker.
-Fit the machine behind the tanker and connect the hydraulic lines
oSee hydraulic scheme for pumptankers and vacuumtankers at page 10
oAttach a 4”or 5” inch hose in between the machine and the tanker.
oIn case using a dose set, assemble the set, inbetween the connectionhose (tanker -> machine) and the
cutting-rotor.
oIn case using a small pressure reducer, assemble the set on the vacuumpump for holding the pressure
continuously.

15
Tuning the machine
Always make sure that the machine is in horizontal position when it is in working position.

16
Working with the machine
-Make sure nobody is in the area around the machine when you start working with the machine
-Fold out the machine (from type SB 4.50)
-Start driving and lower the machine and keep the hydraulic flow in neutral position.
-When lifting the machine, put the valve handle in neutral position when the machine is lifted.
-Always lift the machine as high as possible.
-Fold in the machine (from type SB 4.50)
-When driving on public roads you have to close the ball valve on the hydraulic block.
-NEVER DRIVE BACKWARDS WITH THE MACHINE IN WORKING POSITION!

17
Maintenance
When frequently using the machine
-Clean the cutting-rotor every day
-Check the hoses for clogging
-Clean the quick couplings every day
-Grease the pins from the folding part, the cylinders and hitch every day.
-Clean the machine every week, and grease all grease points
-Grease the cutting-rotor mechanism every week
-Before driving on public road always check the lighting
When the machine is stored
-Clean and grease the cutting-rotor and clean the air valves
-Grease all lubrication points and replace them when damaged.
-Grease the visual places of the piston rod
-Place caps on the hydraulic quick couplings.
-Dismantle the rotor
-Clean the hub or the rotor
-Clean and grease the axle of the hydromotor
-Clean the machine and clean the hoses
-Damaged hydraulic lines need to be replaced
-Check the tire pressure (2.5 Bar).

18
Hydraulic sequence valve (optional)
1. Functions of the hydraulic sequence valve
2. Ball valve (lowering)
3. Ball valve (for single working set)
4. Sequence valve
5. Pressure attachment for bottom pressure

Failure
It is not possible to lower the machine:
Problem : Ball valve under the hydraulic block is closed.
Answer : Open ball valve
Problem : Machine is not folded out complete, anti-lowering valve is not working.
Answer : Tune the anti-lowering valve (the pin needs to be pressed complete)
Problem : Quick coupling broken
Answer : Find the broken coupling and replace it.
It is not possible to lift the machine
Problem : Cutting-rotor is stuck
Answer : Clean the cutting-rotor (pay attention to your fingers)
Problem : Failure in the cutting rotor hydraulic motor
Answer : Contact your supplier or Slootsmid
Problem : Quick coupling broken
Answer : Find the broken coupling and replace it.
Machine is lowering during transport
Problem : Leakage of the anti-loweringvalve through dirt
Answer : Clean the valve, for replacing the valve contact your supplier or Slootsmid
Problem : Leakage of the cylinders
Answer : Repair the cylinders

20
Machine distributes irregular or not:
Problem : Rotor is stuck
Answer : Clean rotor (pay attention to your fingers)
Problem : The hoses are stuck
Answer : clean the hoses
Problem : Rotor is running slow
Answer : Disasemble the rotor, clean the rotor, rotorhousing and engineshaft.
Reassemble the rotor.
