5. Remove device contents
1. Remove handset from carton
8. Turn console power ON
12. Spike saline (3L) bag. Ensure
saline reaches handset before
engaging foot pedal
16. Depress foot pedal to prime

saline tube, evacuation tube
and pump from sterile eld
2. Open external pouch
9. Insert pump
cartridge into console
13. Attach evacuation tube to
the canister, ensuring one of the
canister ports is vented.
17. Reduce power to desired
procedure setting

3. Prepare internal
pouch for transfer
10. Turn right to 3 o’clock
14. Increase power setting to
level 10 for handpiece priming
18. The system is ready to use
7. Remove pump cartridge
from clam shell
4. Transfer inner pouch to
sterile eld
11. Remove saline tube spike cap
15. Safely hold handset

User tips
1. First option, turn console o. Try to remove
1. Verify pinch clamps
are fully open
1. Keep handset moving tangentially
at swift and steady pace to prevent
grooves in the woundbed
2. Invert handset away from wound when procedure is nished, then remove foot from footswitch to prevent
residual saline from trickling back into the clean wound bed
2. Check for kinks, obstructions
or leaks in the inow line
3. Set power level to 10. Press foot switch and pinch the clamp.
Drag it down to purge all air from the feed line
2. Second option, turn to unlocked position and gently push cartridge
into console a little further. Quickly remove hand allowing cartridge to
spring back before trying to remove
3. Third option, clamp saline line and remove spike from bag. Hold line and adjust power setting to 10, then open the line. Press foot pedal until water
jet stops streaming in operating window. Try to remove

Console failure conditions
1. Press and simultaneously hold
the up/down keys. Status F1
means a power supply failure has
occurred. The console should be
reported to Smith & Nephew
2. Status F2 means an internal
motor failure has occurred. The
console should be reported to
Smith & Nephew.
3. F3 means an over-heated failure
has occurred. Allow console to
cool 10 minutes leaving bottom
and back ventilation clear
