• Manually pre-clean all drill holes, passages and threads

Disassembly
In accordance with the instruction “Processing (cleaning,
disinfection and sterilization) of instruments from
Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics AG” Lit. No. 03389.
The following applies in addition to the instructions:
• Disassembly is carried out in reverse order to assembly
• Unscrew threaded rod (5)
• Unscrew thread ring (3) with flat wrench (4)
• Remove the fin stabilizer (2) from the tube (1)
Machine cleaning and disinfection
In accordance with the instruction “Processing (cleaning,
disinfection and sterilization) of instruments from
Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics AG” Lit. No. 03389.
The following applies in addition to the instructions:
• Please take special care to ensure that any cavities can
be properly rinsed
Drying
In accordance with the instruction “Processing (cleaning,
disinfection and sterilization) of instruments from
Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics AG” Lit. No. 03389.
The following applies in addition to the instructions:
• All drill holes and passages can also be dried with
pressurized air
Inspection and maintenance
In accordance with the instruction “Processing (cleaning,
disinfection and sterilization) of instruments from
Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics AG” Lit. No. 03389.
The following applies in addition to the instructions:
• Check the thread (pos. 1, 2 and 3) for damage
Assembly
In accordance with the instruction “Processing (cleaning,
disinfection and sterilization) of instruments from
Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics AG” Lit. No. 03389.
The following applies in addition to the instructions:
• It is essential that the fin stabilizer (2) is assembled as
shown in the image (laser markings to match up with
laser markings)
• Screw threaded ring (3) into position with flat wrench (4)
• Screw threaded rod (5) into place
