Purpose of this manual
This manual describes the information items that premise the service based on the block-level such as service overview,
error messages, periodic maintenance and inspection and replacement of main parts assuming use of system and service
engineers.
Related manuals

This manual contains information required to operate and use the unit.

For the boards listed below, any complete mounted boards or any component parts must not be replaced. Therefore,
their schematic diagrams, board layouts and spare parts are not disclosed.

Operating temperature
5 to 40 °C
Operating humidity
20 to 90 % (no condensation)
Storage temperature
–20 to 60 °C
Prohibited installation places
• Places exposed directly to sunlight or intense light
• Places near a heat source
• Dusty places or places subject to constant vibration
• Places in strong magnetic field
• Places subject to much electrical noise
• Places where electrostatic noise is likely to be generated
• Places where specified installation space cannot be provided
• Windtight places
Horizontal installation condition
• When using this unit horizontally: Within 5 degrees
Do not tilt it more than 5 degrees back and forth.
• When using this unit vertically: Within 3 degrees
Do not tilt it more than 3 degrees back and forth.
CAUTION
If the unit is used at a slant, secure it to prevent it from slipping down.

1-2. Power Supply
1-2-1. Supplying Power to ODS-D77F
Power is supplied to the ODS-D77F with a dedicated tool because no DC power input connector is provided.
This dedicated power supply tool will be described soon.
1-2-2. Supplying Power to ODS-D77U
Connect the supplied AC adapter and the power cord to the DC power input connector on the rear of the ODS-D77U to
supply power.
CAUTION
Use the supplied AC adapter.
Using any other AC adapter may cause a failure of the unit or electric shock.

WARNING
• Never use a damaged power cord.
• Fully insert the plug and connector of the power cord into an electric outlet and the AC inlet of the AC
adapter respectively.
