INTRODUCTION
NEW BASIC INSTALLATION PROJECTORS DELIVER 5000+lm HIGH BRIGHTNESS
AT LOW COST WITH UNIQUE POWER SAVING FEATURES
Sony is pleased to introduce the VPL-CW275 and the VPL-CX275 basic installation projectors. The VPL-
CW275 provides widescreen image with its significantly high 5100lm/WXGA projection. The VPL-CX275
features XGA resolution with 5200lm powerful color light output.
The new projectors are equipped with technologies including Bright Era® 3LCD panels, Advanced Crisp
Foucus Lens, and 12-bit Gamma Correciton circuit for a greater visual experience. Not only the picture
is brilliant, users can expect to reduce their total operational cost due to long lamp life (up to 4000h*)
and the intelligent auto lamp dimming function. Additionally, features such as lens shift for fine
adjustment, horizontal & vertical keystone correction, and advanced geometric correction helps
installers to reduce total time of installation.
Above all, pricing is extremely competitive and the projectors are great fits for large class rooms and
meeting rooms where cost is critical.

Features & Benefits
Superb Image Quality & Rich Color Reproduction –Sony’s genuine Bright EraTM 3LCD panels
create a brilliant 5200lm color light output (5100lm for VPL-CW275). Not only bright, the
projectors incorporate multiple technologies for greater viewing experience. Advanced Crisp
Focus Lens, built from 10 glass lens elements and 1 aspheric plastic lens, provides high
resolution crisp image with less aberration across the image. 12-bit 3D Digital Gamma
Correction circuit helps reproducing smooth gradations and rich gray scale while Dynamic Detail
Enhancer allows users to play back interlace video signal converted to progressive format.
Economical and Power Saving –With Sony’s unique lamp-driving technology, the expected
lamp maintenance time can go up to 4000h, depending on the lamp mode selected. The lamp is
not just long-lasting, but also works intelligently to reduce energy consumption.
-Auto Lamp Dimming - In the event the projectors are left powered while not in use,
they automatically detect no change of signal input and will dim the lamp as low as 30
percent of original brightness to significantly reduce energy consumption.
-Auto lamp mode - Lamp output dynamically changes depending on the brightness of
image projected. For example, when showing darker images that don’t require high
brightness, the lamp output will decrease to avoid unnecessary power consumption.
Color adjustment occurs at the same time to maintain natural picture reproduction.
Installation Support Features - supports installers to reduce time of installation
-Vertical +/- 5%, Horizonal +/-3% optical lens shift saves time for fine adjustment of
image position (vertical +/-3.3%, horizontal +/-2.5% for VPL-CX275).
-Geometric-image correction, horizontal and vertical keystone correction features allow
image to fit squarely on the screen even projected from an off-set angle. Saves
installation time in the real world where screen is not always leveled, or sprinklers on
the ceiling needs to be avoided.
Blend-in Design –White-colored cabinet with clean looking back design allows the projector to
fit into typical rooms, without annoying audiences’ sight.
Other useful features –10W speaker; closed captioning; digital zoom; picture muting; Off &
Go; rich interfaces including HDMI, variable audio output with audio switcher function, Monitor
Out, HDMI, discrete PC Audio Inputs, RCA Video Audio Input, RJ45, and RS232C control.
