The wire which is coloured green-and-yellow must be
connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked by the
letter E or by the safety earth symbol Yor coloured green or

Overview
The PFV-D10 Digital Interface Unit is an apparatus
for interfacing various kinds of equipment to process
analog and digital video and audio signals. When an
optional board is installed into the slot, the power is
supplied from the PFV-D10 to the board, and the
function of the board is activated. Select the
appropriate optional boards and install them into the
PFV-D10, allowing the unit to execute various signal
processing functions.
Features
Various kinds of signal processing with
optional boards
Installing the appropriate optional board, various
functions regarding serial digital video signals can be
processed in the single PFV-D10 unit.

Rack mounting
The unit can be mounted in a 19-inch standard rack.
Optional Boards
Select boards with the required functions, and install
them in slots of the PFV-D10.

This board converts a composite analog video signal
into a composite serial digital video signal.

This board converts a component analog video signal
into a component serial digital video signal.

This board demultiplexes serial digital video signals on
which digital audio signals are multiplexed into analog
audio signals and serial digital video signals.
BKPF-R70 Rouiting Switcher Controller Board
This board controls a routing switcher.

This board is a selector of composite or component
serial digital video signals.

Lights in green when this unit is turned on.
Flashes in red in the following cases:
•The temperature inside the unit has risen to a
specified level.
•The ventilation fans have stopped rotating.
•Trouble occurs with the output voltage on the
negative side.
May flash in green in the following cases:
•The rotation of the ventilation fans slows down
drastically.
•Until the rotation of the ventilation fans becomes
stable just after the power is turned on.
2POWER switch
Turns on and off the power of this unit.
3Cover plates
Remove the corresponding plates to install the optional
boards.
4REF IN (reference signal) input connector (BNC
type)
When an optional board such as a BKPF-300-series
board that requires a reference signal input to the PFV-
D10 is installed, input an analog black burst signal as a
reference signal.

The reference signal input to the REF IN connector is
supplied as it is. When this connector is not used,
connect a 75-ohm terminator.
6REMOTE connector (BNC type)
For controlling a routing switcher, connect an S-BUS
line when an optional board such as a BKPF-300-
series board that requires an S-BUS protocol input to
the PFV-D10 is installed.
7y(signal ground) terminal
For signal ground. Connect to a ground wire as
required.
8~AC IN connector
Connect to an AC power supply using a power cord
below:
