Purpose of this manual This manual is the Installation Manual of the Digital Audio Recoder PCM-3348HR
and Converter Board Pack DABK-3343HR.
This manual is intended for use by trained system and service engeineers, and
describes the information when installing.

Locations to avoid
.Areas where the unit will be exposed to direct sunlight or
any other strong lights.
.Dusty areas or areas where it is subject to vibration.
.Areas with strong electric or magnetic fields.
.Areas near heat sources.
Ventilation/Radiation
PCM-3348HR has the fan to cool the entire unit.
If the intake on the fan is blocked, or the fan stops rotating,
the unit may be damaged.
Therefore, there must be at least 20 cm of clearance at the
rear of the nuit.

1-4-1. Assembly of the Remote Stand
Use the following supplied parts to assemble the remote
stand.
Leg assy: 1

Procedure
(1) Assembly of the Leg Assembly
Attach the leg assembly to the support, using the four
screws (M5 x25).
(2) Installing the Slider, Top Plate and Cord Clamper
Install the slider, top plate and cord clamper as shown
in the figure below.

1-4-2. Installation of the Remote Unit on the
Remote Stand
Procedure
(1) Attach the remote control unit to the remote stand top
plate, paying attention to the mounting positions
shown in instructions 1and 2below.
1Align the rear panel of the remote unit with the rear
end of the remote stand top plate.
2Adjust the position of the remote unit so that it is
located in the center of the remote stand top plate.
Check that the right and left rear feet of the remote
unit are located in the center of the ring-shaped hole of
the remote stand top plate.
(2) Temporarily secure the remote unit to the top plate
from the bottom of the top plate with four +PSW4 x
16 screws. (When the screws cannot be inserted into
the holes, slide the remote unit slightly backward and
forward or right and left to adjust the position.) When
all the four screws has been inserted in the holes,
fasten them securely.
(3) Secure the remote cable connecting the remote unit to
the recorder with the cord clamp located at the bottom
of the top plate.
