PRECAUTIONS
• Choose themounting location carefully
so that theunit will notinterfere with
the normal drivingfunctions of the
driver.
• Avoid installing theunit where itwould
be subject tohigh temperatures, such
as from directsunlight or hotair from
the heater,or where itwould be subject
to dust, dirtor excessive vibration.
• Use onlythe supplied mounting
hardware for asafe and secure
installation.
• Be sureto remove thefront panel
before installing theunit.
Mounting angle adjustment
Adjust the mountingangle to lessthan
20°.

Detaching and attaching the front panel
The front panel of this unit can be detached
in order to prevent the unit from being stolen.
DETACHING THE FRONT PANEL
Before detaching the front panel, be sure to
press the PWR button OFF first.
Pull out the panel towards you in order to
detach completely the panel from the main
unit.Refer to instruction.
ATTACHING THE FRONT PANEL
Make sure the front panel is the right way up
when attaching it to the unit as it cannot be
attached upside down. Bring side B of panel
to side A of main unit.Insert the panel in and
push until it clicks.

Notes:
ŸDo not press the front panel hard against
the unit when attaching it. It can be easily
attached by pressing it lightly against the
unit.
ŸWhen you carry the front panel with you,
put it in the supplied front panel case.
ŸDo not press hard or give excessive
pressure to the display window of the
front panel when attaching it to the unit.

Maintenance
FUSE REPLACEMENT
If the fuse blows, check the power connector
and replace the fuse. If the fuse blows again
after the replacement, there may be an
internal malfunction. In this case, consult
your nearest repairing center.

Use the specified amperage fuse for each
lead. Use of a higher amperage fuse may
cause serious damage.

POWER ON/OFF
By pressing this key, the unit is switched on and off.
This unit is turned on by pressing any key.
PANELRELEASE BUTTON
Press the buttonand the right-handsection of the panel will release.
‘SCAN’ AUTOMATIC TUNING CONTROL
This key isoperated as RADIO SCAN. The operation is similar as
normal search butdifferent thing is holding 5seconds on everystation
detected in RADIOSCAN mode.
BAND SELECTOR SWITCH
Push this switchto select thedesired band. Selectionis made in regular
sequence as FM-AM.
PRESET STATIONS
Six numbered presetbutton store andrecall stations foreach band.
Storing a station:
1. Select aband (if needed)
2. Select astation
3. Hold apreset button longerthan one second.Preset station number
appears in thedisplay when stationis saved.
Recall a station:
1. Select band(if needed)
2. Press apreset button forless than onesecond to select stored station.
MODE BUTTON
By pressing thiskey, user can select.AUX/TUNER/CD-MP3/USB or MMC/SD mode.
DISPLAYBUTTON (Set the Clock)
Selects radio frequencyor clock
display.
Toset the clock:
1. With clockdisplay selected, hold
down (DISP) buttonuntil clock
display starts flashing.
2. Rotating to change minutes,
to change hours.
3. Press (DISP)button to startclock.
LOUDNESS BUTTON
Press this buttonto boost thebass and treble
response. Push buttonagain to returnto
normal operation. This function isuseful
when listening atlow levels. Loudspeakers
are inefficient at low powerlevels and will
tend to soundflat. The loudness control will
boost the bassand treble responsethus
giving a morelively performance.
While this functionis operating, thedisplay
shows "LOUD ON"

AUTOMATICOR MANUAL TUNING (FREQ UP OR FREQ DOWN )
(A) RADIO MODE
When pressed forless than 1second, these keys operate as manualtuning mode.
When pressed longerthan 1 sec.,they are operated as SEEK tuningmode.
If the keysare not pressedfor 3 seconds, they will returnto SEEK mode again.
(B) CD PLAYER MODE
When pressed forless than 1second, they will operate as TRACK UP or TRACK
DOWN mode.
When pressed longerthan 1 sec.,they will operate as CUE orREVIEW mode.
LCD DISPLAY
The Liquid CrystalDisplay will displaythe current state of the unit.
SELECT
AUTOMATICALLY STORESTATIONS
Select six strongstations and storethem in current band.
1. Select aband (if needed)
2. Hold A/PS button for morethan three seconds.The new stations replace stations
already stored inthat band.

Scan stations storedin current band
1. Select aband (if needed)
2. Touch A/PS for more than one second butless than threeseconds. Radio pauses for
five seconds ateach station. Touch A/PS again to stopscanning when desired station is
reached.
LOCAL/DISTANT BUTTON
Press Local/Distant (LO/DX)button for listeningto weak stations. "LOCAL"
indicator will appearon the display. Press thisbutton again (Distantmode)
for normal operation.
STEREO/MONO SELECTOR
This function will only affect the FM reception. Press this
button if the FM reception becomes noisy/hissy. If the
station being received is in stereo, it will now be played in
mono.
Press this button again to return the receiver to normal
reception.

Turning theVOL knob Right or Left,you can adjust VOL/BASS/TREB/BAL/FAD. To
select other functions,press the SEL button shortly untilthe desired functionsis shown

BEEP ON: BEEP sound can be heardfrom speaker when the buttons arepressed.

Press the EJECT button to remove the CD. The receiver will
automatically switch to radio mode.
TRACK/SEARCH BUTTON
FORWARD AND REVERSE TRACK SEARCH
Press and releaseto advance tonext track or to return tothe beginning of the
current track (tracknumber will bedisplayed.) Press and hold to fastforward or
reverse. Play willbegin at thepoint when you release the button.
PAUSE BUTTON
Press to pauseCD playback. Press
again to resumeplayback.
INTRO BUTTON (Preview all Tracks) ‘INT’
When this buttonis pressed, ‘INTON’
indication is displayedand the firstseveral
seconds of eachtrack of thedisc is played.
Press again tostop intro andlisten to track.
REPEAT BUTTON ‘RPT’
When this buttonis pressed, ‘RPTON’ indication is
displayed and theselected track willbe continually
repeated until theTrack repeatmode is cancelled by
pressing ‘RPT’button again.
RANDOM BUTTON ‘RDM’
When this buttonis pressed, ‘RDMON’ indication is
displayed and eachtrack on thedisc is played in random
order instead ofnormal progression. To cancel RANDOM
mode, press ‘RDM’button again.

HOW TO SELECT MP3 FILES
1. Searching Track:
• Press “A/PS”,then search trackis activated.
• Press “SEL”,then the firstdigit will flash.
• With “VOL / VOL ” knob, selectfirst digit desired.
• Press “SEL”,then the firstdigit is fixedand second digit will flash.
• With “VOL / VOL ” knob, select2’nd 3’rd respectively.
• Then automatically the songselected will start.
2. Searching FileName:
• Press “A/PS”twice, then filesearch is activated.
• Press “SEL”,then the firstdirectory is displayed.
• With “VOL / VOL ” knob, youcan select thedesired directory.
• Press “SEL”again, then thedirectory is fixedand the first file name isdisplayed.
• With “VOL / VOL ” knob, youcan select thefile you want.
• Press “SEL”,then the songselected will start.
3. Searching Character:
• Press “A/PS”3 times, thencharacter search modeis activated.
• Press enter“SEL” button, then“A” character isdisplayed.
• With “VOL / VOL ” knob, youcan select thedesired letter.
• Press enter“SEL” key longerthan 2 sec.
• The song with thesame character youselected is displayed.
• With “VOL / VOL ” knob, youcan select thedesired song.
• Press enter“SEL” key, then the song selected willstart.
