2.2Paper Installation
POS58VIadopts 57.5±0.5mm widththermalpaper.
Thesteps of thermalpaperinstallationareasthefollowing:
1. Whenthereis nopaperintheprinthead, pls don’tpress【FEED】buttonto
avoidaffectingthelifeof printinghead. Opening openbutton toopenthe
casecoverand changepaper.
2. Afterpapercasecoveris closed, plsdo notdraw thepaperforwards or
backwards withhands.

TheParallelinterfaceof POS58VIprinteris compatiblewithCENTRONICS,
supports BUSYand /ACK handshakingprotocol,it usesDB25 socket(male),

2.5Self-test
Theself-test canchecktheconditionof printer.In theself-test,software
version,interface type,characters,etcwill beprinted.If theprinterprintsout
theself-test receiptcorrectly,it means theprinterworks normallyexceptthe
interface withhost. Otherwiseit needs torepair.
Method of self-test:Holding down 【FEED】buttonand turn onthepower,
theredindicatorlightwill flickerat1time/s,within3timesthenreleasethe
button, self-test begins automatically.
2.6HexadecimalDump
Holding down 【FEED】buttonand turnon thepower, theredindicator light
will flickerat1time/s,after3timesthenreleasethebutton,theredlightwill
go on flicker3times,thentheprinterwill printout3linesinformation as
bellow: HexadecimalDump
Toterminatehexadecimaldump,
Press FEED buttonthree times.
Underthismode,all theinputwill printoutasHexadecimaldata.Putthe
【FEED】buttonwill feedonelineeach time.3timestogetherwill printout

Holding down 【FEED】buttonand turnon thepower, theredindicator light
will flickerat1time/s,after3timesthenreleasethebutton.Theprinter
enters intoModeChoosingStatus.Thenpress LFbutton5timesand the
timedistance betweentwotimesmustbewithin3s. Theindicator will flicker
at1s on and 1s offstatus.Atthis time,theprinterenters intoUpgradeMode.

website.Afterdownloading,thenameof driversoftwareis DRV211.During
installingdriversoftware,chooseprintermodel “58 thermalseries”.About
otheroperation, pls refertothedetailedinstallation manual.
