LM2 PRESENTATION
The LM2 is the evolution of the revolution, with its roots in the wildly popular
LINK-MICRO family of cellular trail cameras that changed the entire industry
on its way to becoming the most popular cellular trail camera of all time. The
LM2 is true to the legacy of aordable, reliable, and easy-to-use cellular trail
cameras that has made SPYPOINT an industry leader.
The LM2 uses cellular network connectivity to communicate information to
the user via the SPYPOINT app such as:
• Photos take by the camera since the last sync
• Camera status
• Camera settings
The LM2 is compact but robust and connects to the LTE cellular network
available in the area. Crisp 20 MP photos, an easy to use interface, and
optimized antenna round out a camera that delivers far more than the
price would indicate.

ANTENNA
Captures the cellular signal.
DETECTION LENS
Enlarges the detection area of the camera’s motion sensor.
MICROSD CARD SLOT
Space to insert the microSD card (not included)
needed to save photos.
LIGHT SENSOR
Detects the ambient lighting conditions for taking pictures:
in colors during the day, black and white at night.
DELAY LIGHT
During installation, once the signal is found, this light ashes for 30
seconds to allow the user to walk away without being photographed.
PHOTO LENS
Image sensor.
LED
3 powerful LEDs that illuminate at night for clear
black and white photos.
OFF/ON SWITCH
Allows the user to turn the camera OFF/ON.
STATUS LIGHT
During installation, it ashes to indicate to the user the strength of the
cellular signal. During regular operation, it indicates that the camera is
recording or transferring les.
SIM CARD SLOT
Space to insert a SIM card. It is necessary to activate cellular functions.
The SIM card, pre-installed and pre-activated, is included with the camera.
It is important to use a SPYPOINT SIM card (supplied by SPYPOINT),
otherwise the cellular functions of the camera will be inoperative.
BATTERY COMPARTMENT
Space to insert the battery holder.
SLOT FOR INSTALLATION STRAP
Allows the camera to be installed using
the included installation strap.
DOOR
Provides access to the battery compartment,
microSD card, STATUS light, and OFF/ON switch.
LOCKING LATCH
Allows you to lock and open the door.
CABLE LOCK HOLE
Allows you to install a #CLM-6FT padlock cable
to secure the unit (sold separately).

Allows you to insert a power cord connected

CHOOSING A POWER SOURCE
4 options are available to you:
• Alkaline or lithium AA batteries
• Rechargeable battery 12 V (#KIT-12V sold separately)
• Rechargeable battery pack 3.7 V (#LIT-10 sold separately)
• Solar panel lithium battery 12 V (#SPLB-22 sold separately)
NOTE
We suggest using a SPYPOINT #LIT-10 rechargeable lithium battery pack with
your camera. It oers a longer battery life than AA batteries, and saves money
over the life of the camera.
FOR BEST RESULTS AND NO LEAKAGE
• Use only new alkaline or lithium batteries.
• Do not mix new and old batteries.
• Do not use rechargeable AA batteries
(their lower voltage can generate operational issues).
HOW TO INSTALL AA BATTERIES PROPERLY
• Unlock the latch and open the LM2 door.
• Remove the battery compartment by grasping
it by the 2 small notches on the side and pulling
it out (see photo).
• Insert the AA batteries into the battery holder
following polarity (+) and (-) indications.
• Place the battery holder back into the battery

LITHIUM BATTERY COMBO UNIT
• Combines solar panel and lithium
battery into one unit to reduce wires
and setup time.
• Plugs directly into camera to provide
extensive, ongoing battery life for
your camera so you can avoid visits.
• Additional jacks and plugs allows for
device exibility.
MANAGING VARIOUS CAMERA
POWER SUPPLY
If you choose to plug an external 12 V battery (#KIT-12V, sold separately)
into your camera, it becomes your camera’s new primary power source.
The AA batteries will only be used once the 12 V battery is depleted.
You can check the battery level of your device:
• In the application: on the home page, you will see the battery charge level
for each of your devices. You can access more details on the status of your
battery by going to the STATUS page. When the battery logo turns red, we
suggest that you change the batteries before it is completely drained.
• On the device: as soon as the device is switched on, when the STATUS light
ashes orange, it indicates that the battery level is low.

INSTALLING A MEMORY CARD (NOT INCLUDED)
The use of a memory card is necessary for the operation of the camera. It is used to save pictures and other
camera status les. Note that photos in their original format are kept on the memory card. The photos sent
to your application are lighter versions. You can retrieve your photos at any time by removing the card from
the device and transferring the contents to another device (e.g.: computer).
Your camera requires a microSD memory card, with a maximum capacity of 32 GB, sold separately. Here is a
table showing the approximate quantity of photos that can be recorded on the card, according to dierent
memory card capacities.
INSERTING YOUR MEMORY CARD
Before inserting the microSD card into your camera, it must be formatted via a computer to ensure
proper operations. Visit www.spypoint.com/en/support if you need help formatting your microSD card.
• Ensure the camera is turned OFF.
• Find the microSD card slot. It is located on the left, above the battery compartment (see photo).
• Insert a microSD card (up to 32GB) in the microSD card slot with the metal contacts facing down.
• The card is inserted correctly when a click is heard.
REMOVING YOUR MEMORY CARD
• Before removing a memory card, always turn your camera OFF
to prevent les from on the card from being deleted or damaged.
• To remove the card, push it lightly into the camera until you hear a click.
Then take it out of the device.

ACTIVATING YOUR CAMERA
Before you can use your camera, you must activate it.
To do so, you will need the activation code.

The activation code is located inside the LM2’s battery compartment.

Activation
SPYPOINT APP - NEW USERS
On your mobile device or a computer, use the web browser and navigate to www.spypoint.com, select
“LOGIN” in the top navigation menu. On the displayed“SPYPOINT” page, select “CREATE AN ACCOUNT“,
ll out the required elds, then log in. Once your account is created you can either continue to use the web
version of the application or you can switch to the mobile application.
If you choose to use the SPYPOINT app to activate your device, follow these steps:
1. On Google PlayTM or the App StoreTM, search for“SPYPOINT”.
2. Download and install the app on your smartphone or tablet.
3. Start the app. Select “LOGIN”. Enter your account information and select “LOGIN”.
4. Select the “CAMERAS” tab at the bottom of the screen and press the orange +button.
5. In the list, select “LM2” then follow the steps to scan your data matix code.
6. When complete, you will see the camera in the camera list.
If you choose to use our SPYPOINT website to activate your device, follow these steps:
1. On the www.spypoint.com website, select “LOGIN”in the top navigation menu. On the displayed
“SPYPOINT” page, login using your account information. Then press the “LOGIN” button.
2. Select the +sign on the far right of the page; in the list, select “LM2” then follow the steps.
3. When complete, you will see the device in your camera list.
