Steren HER-600 User manual

Before using your new CAT-5 Cable Tester, please read this
instruction manual to prevent any damage. Put it away in a
safe place for future references.
INSTRUCTIONS
1.- Power on the tester, the LED indicator will flash in red.
2.- Connect one of the RJ-45 connector to a piece of the tester
(the tester includes two pieces), the other extreme pf the cable
plug it into the second piece of the tester.
3.- If the cable has continuity and each pair match, the tester will
indicate you through the LEDs. The LEDs will light on in green,
alternating. Firstly, the LED 1 and 2 will light, secondly, the LEDs
from pair 3 and 6, and successively, until you turn the tester off.
4.- If you going to check ground, press the Ground button (it is
located in the left side of main tester piece). The LEDs will light
on in green, except pairs 3 and 6.
5.- If the ground is false or presents failures, the LEDs will show
any other state.
If you want to test continuity in cables with BNC connectors,
follow these instructions:
1.- Connect the cable to BNC connector in the tester, in the other
end of the cable connect the BNC end included with the tester.
2.- Push the button located in the left side of the main tester
piece. If the continuity exists, the LED will light on in green. If
light in red, the continuity does not exist or something is wrong
with the connection.

Power off the tester and remove the battery when you don’t
require to use it for long periods of time

damages to the tester.

Antes de utilizar su nuevo Probador de Cables Nivel 5 lea
este instructivo para evitar cualquier mal funcionamiento.
Guárdelo para futuras referencias.
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
1.- Encienda su probador de cables de nivel 5 con el
interruptor que dice Power (el LED encenderá en color rojo en
forma intermitente).
2.- Conecte un extremo del cable con conector RJ-45 a una de
las dos partes del probador (el probador se compone de dos
partes) y el otro extremo del cable en la otra parte del probador.
3.- Si el cable esta bien armado (con continuidad y cada par
corresponde) el probador le indicará por medio de los LEDs que
así es. Es decir los LEDs encenderán en color verde en forma
alternada; prenderá primero el LED que corresponde al par 1 y
2, después el LED que corresponde al par 3 y 6 y así
sucesivamente, continuará probando cada uno de los pares por
tiempo indefinido hasta que desconecte o apague el probador.
4.- Si va a probar que exista tierra, presione el botón que
corresponde a tierra (se encuentra en la parte principal del
probador del lado izquierdo). Los LEDs encenderán todos en
color verde, a excepción del LED 3 y 6, el cual se mantendrá
apagado.
5.- Si la tierra es falsa o con fallas, los LEDs mostrarán cualquier
otro estado.
Para probar continuidad en cables con conector BNC
proceda de la siguiente manera:
1.- Conecte el cable al probador en la parte que trae el conector
para BNC, en el otro extremo del cable coloque el terminador
final que viene incluido con su probador.
2.- Oprima el botón que se encuentra en el costado izquierdo de
la parte principal del probador. Si la continuidad existe,
encenderá el LED que se encuentra en la parte superior del
probador, en color verde. Si enciende en color rojo, la
continuidad no está bien hecha o no existe.

PRECAUCIONES
Se requiere una batería de 9V para que funcione.
Cuando no utilice su probador apáguelo y retire la batería.
No lo deje al alcance de los niños.
Limpie solo con un paño húmedo, no utilice ningún abrasivo.
No conecte el probador a los circuitos energizados, esto dañará
su probador.

WARRANTY
This Steren product is warranted under normal usage against defects in workmanship and materials
to the original purchaser for one year from the date of purchase.
CONDITIONS
1.- This warranty card with all the required information, invoice or purchase ticket, product box or
package, and product, must be presented when warranty service is required.
2.- If the product stills on the warranty time, the company will repair it free of charge.
3.- The repairing time will not exceed 30 natural days, from the day the claim was received.
4.- Steren sell parts, components, consumables and accesories to costumer, as well as warranty
service, at any of the addresses mentioned later.
THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IN THE NEXT CASES:
If the product has been damaged by an accident, acts of God, mishandling, leaky batteries, failure
to follow enclosed instructions, improper repair by unauthorized personnel, improper safe keeping,
among others.
a) The consumer can also claim the warranty service in the purchase establishment.
b) If you lose the warranty card, we can reissue it, if you show the invoice or purchase ticket.

PÓLIZA DE GARANTÍA
Esta póliza garantiza el producto por el término de un año en todas sus partes y mano de obra,
contra cualquier defecto de fabricación y funcionamiento, a partir de la fecha de entrega.
CONDICIONES
1.- Para hacer efectiva la garantía, presente ésta póliza y el producto, en donde fue adquirido o en
Electrónica Steren S.A. de C.V.
2.- Electrónica Steren S.A de C.V. se compromete a reparar el producto en caso de estar defectuoso
sin ningún cargo al consumidor. Los gastos de transportación serán cubiertos por el proveedor.
3.- El tiempo de reparación en ningún caso será mayor a 30 días, contados a partir de la recepción
del producto en cualquiera de los sitios donde pueda hacerse efectiva la garantía.
4.- El lugar donde puede adquirir partes, componentes, consumibles y accesorios, así como hacer
válida esta garantía es en cualquiera de las direcciones mencionadas posteriormente.
ESTA PÓLIZA NO SE HARA EFECTIVA EN LOS SIGUIENTES CASOS:
1.- Cuando el producto ha sido utilizado en condiciones distintas a las normales.
2.- Cuando el producto no ha sido operado de acuerdo con el instructivo de uso.
3.- Cuando el producto ha sido alterado o reparado por personal no autorizado por Electrónica
Steren S.A. de C.V.
El consumidor podrá solicitar que se haga efectiva la garantía ante la propia casa comercial donde
adquirió el producto. Si la presente garantía se extraviara, el consumidor puede recurrir a su
proveedor para que le expida otra póliza de garantía, previa presentación de la nota de compra o
factura respectiva.
