1. Turn car ignition to the off position until
requested to turn on in step 10.
2. On the driver’s side rear quarter-panel
interior trim, place and tape the provided
template as shown (Cut out template on
page 10), aligning the template into the 3
corners. Once aligned, mark hole centers
and remove template prior to drilling. Using
a right angle drill, drill 4 holes with a 3/8” drill
with a 1/8” drill stop. Remove burrs from
holes if necessary. (Please note bottom
dock must clear the rear cargo tray.)
3. Using the provided four rubber well
nuts, push nuts into all four holes until
seated against the quarter panel interior
trim.

4. Align docking station over all four well
nuts, then hand-tighten all four M5 screws
with Phillips screwdriver, # 2. (Please
note the dock bottom must clear the
plastic rear cargo tray.)
5. Remove 12V DC adapter from package and
insert into back quarter-panel outlet as shown.
Make sure adapter is completely seated into the
socket.
6. Insert and attach the inline connector. Wrap
the urethane tape around the dock
connector as shown, allowing for removal
of the mating connector, if necessary.

7. With the antenna swivel point facing
towards you, move the antenna
slightly at an angle as shown. Align
router over docking station and seat
into dock (unit should snap in
smoothly). Route and tuck harness
cable behind router and antenna.
Swivel the antenna back to its upright
position. Note: once the antenna is in
the upright position it will be slightly
bent at the top as in step 9 picture
below, this is normal and will not
affect the antenna performance.
8. Wipe down area with alcohol wipe and
place harness cable clip in area as shown.
Then insert cable into clip to hold against
inner wall.
9. When installation is complete, unit
assembly should look as shown.

10.Turn key to the ON position and observe blue led status.
Status LED (Blue)
Indicates
Start-up Blue LED is off for approximately 15-20 seconds
Initialization
Blue LED is in slow mode for approximately 20-30 seconds
LED fast blink
Device is initializing
LED solid
Device is connected
Once blue light has turned
solid, Mobile Internet Device is
ready to be used.
11. After launching an
internet browser
(Explorer, Firefox, etc.)
with a laptop, PC or
other WiFi enabled
device, you should be
able to view the Subaru
login screen.
Click on the login screen
and it will redirect you to
your default browser
page.

activation, customization
and usage of the router).
(Router must be activated prior to internet use.

Print template at 1:1, do not
scale. Confirm measurements of
mounting holes after printing.
